What's also a lovely little fact is that these moronic shippers are basically pairing up a 29 years old man with a girl aged 10. Sure Satoru is trapped in the body of a ten-year-old due to the 'revival' event but mentally he's always 18-19 years her senior. Not only that, he's also 'from the future' and can basically control her outcome to his liking.

His objective is saving her by getting close to her and all (which is actually a terribly flawed idea in the grand scheme of the entire homicide issue but let's leave that aside). It would be unquestionably unethical for him in some regards to pursue being her boyfriend in the long run.

From that standpoint alone it's creepy that shippers are actually pairing them up. That those morons then even go further and demand of Hinazuki to disregard living her life and instead 'suspend' her love life in order to wait for a comatose boy who might as well never wake up ('only' took 15 years here!), probably with the justification that he saved her or some bullshit, is the cherry on top.

I don't mind that people are initially a bit upset to see
Hinazuki together with Hiromi and having a child because Hiromi was only a secondary character we cared little about whereas the other two were primary characters and it was pleasant to see Satoru build up a relationship to Hinazuki and drag her out of her misery.
But some seconds later your brain gears should start turning and you should conclude that this is a great outcome.

Instead, there are seriously a lot of people who are genuinely unhappy and want Satoru together with Hinazuki.

I don't think the age gap is that big of an argument. There are more than enough "time travel" romance series where that fact wasn't really a problem.

It's just treating a girl as trophy like Satou has a right of getting that girl is just plain annoying.

The time travelers wife is a creepy as fuck tale because from what I understand she met him when she was a kid, fell in love with him there (as an adult male) and later married him.

Samurai Flamenco - 08

Goofy action with truly top notch monster designs
A standing green rhino wearing cooking accesories in a witch kettle, and a gentlemen centaur unicorn with a wooden skull and an engine on his ass. Of course they all have to explode after defeat too!

It's quite the contrast to how last episode ended, but everything is so damn cheesy I can't help but love it

One of us, one of us!

He's great that arc.

Looks like you're getting to the real good stuff. I've gotta pick up going through HxH 1999 again, even if just skip around a bit. The first couple episodes were far superior to 2011 but I wonder if I could say the same to that Yorknew City arc, especially when the 1999 is missing out on the excellent ED and segues into it.

I can say with certainty that the 1999 anime continues to be superior to the 2011 adaptation through what I watched of 2011 (midway through Heaven's Arena). There is a level of creativity and craft to 1999 that you don't find in 2011. If you watch 1999, I wouldn't recommend skipping around, as there are really strong episodes on a regular basis.

Well yeh, last time I already ended up watching the first bunch of episodes in their entirety despite my intentions. I'll see on an episode to episode basis, though, as I'm not really interesting in replaying all of the larger HxH story.

Since I haven't read the manga I can't do a detailed comparison, but I am aware that the 1999 anime includes anime-original material on a regular basis, so it wouldn't be covering entirely the same events anyway.

The average anime fan probably think Bakemonogatari or Chuunishit are the best example of a well developed romantic relationship or how romantic relationships work, I really wouldn't think about the issue too much.

At this point I'm surprised they don't get an aneurysm every time a female character displays some agency.

Theres definitely gotta be another revival. Satoru needs to have a good future, and this outcome is too sad
even if he does have more friends in this timeline than his original one. He deserves to grow up happy and not lose 15 years of his life in a fucking coma. Thats some bullshit.

Do you know what the best character in Erased is:

Start crying now, the changes to OP this week said it all:

But he didn't. He already lived those years.

House of Five Leaves 5

Some of the writing in the long backstory scene was clunky. Characters spouting exposition at each other that they should already know, just for the benefit of the audience.

Not really feeling One Piece Gold. I'm not sure what is wrong with it but it just doesn't seem exciting to me. And I loved Z.

Am more hyped for this that I was for film z, reason being I have more confidence in
Miyamoto Hiroaki and the script writer from history seems to have tackled some pretty challenging work before like liar game.

Looks like going to be completey different type of movie then the other before it, the Casino setting sounds cool.

here something I posted on the other thread.

Executive Producer: Eiichiro Oda

Film Director: Hiroaki Miyamoto
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=44679
http://onepiecepodcast.com/2014/02/15/interview-with-one-piece-series-director-hiroaki-miyamoto/

Scenario writer: Tsutomu Kuroiwa
http://asianwiki.com/Tsutomu_Kuroiwa

I like the fact they been working on the script for over 2 years, in most anime movies the script is an after though.

Eiichiro Oda:

"So, I’ve accepted the role of “executive producer” again. Time to make a movie!! The film director is Mr. Miyamoto, a trustworthy man who has been integral to the [One Piece] anime for six years. The script, written by the clever Mr. Kuroiwa, does not disappoint! The animation is done by this guy, and the music by that guy… wait, how am I supposed to advertise this thing without revealing anything!? We still have a lot of work to do, so development will likely continue behind the scenes until it hits theaters. We’re aiming for the summer of 2016! We’ll present to you a cool and gorgeous One Piece like you’ve never seen before! Please hold on tight to your seats as you wait for it in excitement and anticipation!"

Tsutomu Kuroiwa:

"My goal was to make a profoundly entertaining movie that would knock the socks off people from all over the world. I’ve spent over two years to refine my script, adding everything from excitement and humor to emotional moments. The days I’ve spent discussing the movie with Oda and Miyamoto were some of my best. At times, we worked on the movie during takoyaki parties and barbecues, and it was as if I’d hopped onto a ship and ventured on a great voyage. I am certain that this will become an amazing and unforgettable movie for many people. Please look forward to it!"

Hiroaki Miyamoto:

"As the movie title GOLD suggests, we’ll be bringing to you a super dazzling and insanely fun movie, and we’ve assembled the best staff to do just that! The numerous meetings I had with Kuroiwa and Oda were tough, but thanks to those we’ll be able to show you the Straw Hat crew at their coolest yet. Please wait for a while longer until next summer. Our goal is to make “the ultimate entertainment movie”! Please look forward to it."

I don't think I've ever heard anyone in the industry pimp a anime movie script before.

Visually they look like there going for more thick, soild, heavy colour shaded art style that gives of a 3 dimensional like some of Hiroaki Miyamoto work his done before, take for example the fablous shot of tesoro throwing gold rings towards the screen.

Guys, does anyone know where the latest SNAFU anime season stops, LN-wise? I was thinking about asking my friend to go and pick them up while I wait for a new season, and I'd probably want him to prioritize the LNs that haven't been adapted yet over those that have.

Ah they changed the OP too? I always skip it but I was wondering why the first few seconds looked a little different.

Maaaaaaaaannnnnnnnn...hopes for a satisfying conclusion is slowly sinking

Yeah, it sucks. His life has always been suffering and it looks like it will continue.

I can't really say that I'm disappointed with it but the turn of events definitely feels unearned and just too much for this one episode. I wish it stretched out by even just one episode. That being said, it's definitely an interesting turn of events IMO ruined by lack of proper composition.

I'm fine with it, sometimes sacrifices are needed in the story or the emotional impact will fall flat. That being said... what happens to the people Satoru saved in the original time line like the kid in the first episode?

Plus
he might have lost Kayo but from the looks of things he's set her up with a happy life with a friend he saved AND above else seems to have saved his mother.

Agreed and not to take away the spotlight from her but Kenya is a true bro too. Shame his parts are cut out from the manga, he would have held a bigger role.

imagine kenya ended up with kayo

id like to see shippers reactions to that

I see your Kenya and raise you Satoru's teacher, since at least from what I've seen (haven't watched this week's ep yet) Satoru was the only person who knew about him being the culprit anyway.

Actually on a certain level I can respect ERASED for not taking a romantic pairing to an absurd degree.

Also I think Funimation forgot to put up the newest episode of Garo Crimson Moon.

I can't really blame them.

The time change makes stuff come out 1 hr later, so it still has 5 minutes until it would go up. (12:23 -> 1:23).

15 years is a lot of time, expecting feelings and relationships to stay exactly as they were when you were 10 year old kids is naive.

Hiromi and Kayo never showed any feelings for one another before? Who the hell cares? they were 10! They had 15 years to get to know each other.

I can't believe this line of though, man. I guess anime was truly a mistake and yadda yadda...

While in here I agree with you, in an unrelated note, for Avengers 2 the forced out of nowhere romance is supposed to use this logic and I refuse it.

The Erased cuck shit is moronic, but hilarious. As soon as that baby showed up I started cracking the hell up just because I knew people would freak out.

It doesn't really make sense that she ended up with whats his face anyway. They didn't have a connection and marrying someone from grade school is still anime as hell

Wait, I haven't been keeping up with Assass Classclass, did they really already do the Nagisa's Mom event? And it didn't even last a full episode? What the fuck?! That was one of the most important things in the manga! I was looking forward to seeing it adapted to see how dark they went with it.

Holy shit stop saying cuck, NeoGAF isn't a fucking chan.

Don't you know?

In Anime if you knew someone since grade school you are guaranteed to fuck or marry

Ehh, I can agree witth that, after all, the time between Avengers and Age of Ultron is much less than in this case, and the characters involved didn't start out as elementary school kids either.

Umm, well....yeah? but...."having a connection" in grade school is also anime as hell?

I thought it did take up the contents of that whole episode.
