Finally catched up:

Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu - Ep. 9-11
AOTS continues to be AOTS.
The relationship between these characters is quite fascinating and the Rakugo performances are also very intriguing.

Snow White with the Red Hair - Ep. 10-11
Both episodes were pretty funny. I kind of that tehy get back to the whole marriage buisness next episode.
An engagement would make for a pretty good ending of this season.

Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu - Ep. 11
Pretty nice episode. Kind of cliche, but it was nicely done and we learned a bit more of Sayuki.

Dimension W - Ep. 11
The show got pretty good during the last few episodes. It still has it's problems and feels a bit rushed.
As a result many secene don't have the impact they should have.
Oh well, it's still worth watching.

Also watched:
Your Lie in April - Ep. 4
Why did I stop watching this show again?
Because that was a mistake. This episode was pretty amazing.
The music performance was stellar, also because of the way they visualized the main characters mental problems

It's not a name change; it's the Japanese title directly transliterated into English! You can see this English title on the Japanese website for the anime! And what did you want Trigger's show to be called, "Inou-Battle in the Usually Daze", as the official website has it? There are cases of poorly localized anime titles, but these aren't.

Okay, I'll secede on the Anne Happy stuff, but I'm standing firm on "When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace".

Its a bad name. Not as bad as "Samurai Harem", but still really bad. "Inou-Battle in the Usually Daze" isn't good either but its much smoother to say than the tiresome hyper generic name we got. what we got was just a boring name with way too many long words and syllables. The longer name, inability to shorten, and high syllable count basically make the show forgettable and hard to market before anyone has a chance to even see it.

Its a dumb name and it could have been better.

The first bit of anime that I've watched this year...and I don't really like this show at all. Fantastic music and animation it goes without saying but man oh man do the subtitles speed by at a frantic pace, a pace that ultimately makes it hard for me to follow. Now one could argue that it works to create a claustrophobic atmosphere, one that the viewer should indulge in and accept as the experience that comes with this show, not too dissimilar to the feeling of discomfort one gets when on a white-knuckle roller coaster however all it does is keep my eyes away from the beautiful animation on screen as I lament on the missed words that I failed to process due to the fact that it moves by so damn fast, as if to chastise me for not being able to read fast enough.

I'm only one episode in however I'm already getting feelings similar to the ones that I felt when watching Kaiba, another Yuasa series which I really didn't like at all. I'm sure that if I stick with the series until the bitter end that I'll end up enjoying it, at least I was told so by my brother and many others but so far I'm not enjoying this at all. I couldn’t really wait for the episode to be done with if I’m honest. The subject matter at hand seems to resonate with me but it’s also one that has been done a million times within the anime sphere in packages that I felt more comfortable with.

After taking a break from anime for a few months, maybe starting with this was a mistake.

Honestly, I didn't like this one until about 5-6 episodes in and then I started loving it. Its really hard to get into because of the speed and the repetition in the early episodes, but the later episodes make up for this in spades

Not really. It's a very awkward Engrish title. "When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace" may not be catchy, but at least it's descriptive and understandable.

Really? What anime are you thinking of?

It does seem as if that's the case, that I'd become accustomed to it as time goes on. It's not as if I can't follow what's happening but rather you have no time to think because if you blink you miss shit. I was going to watch 3 episodes today but I just did the one, don't know if one a day is a good idea either because it takes a while to get into the episode but more than one a day would make me go mad! I'll stick with the show but I can't say that I like it. Was super hyped too, what a bummer. Review at the end could be 10/10 but it has an up hill battle.

I say tough it out until you reach an episode that stops restarting. From that point its ace (at least imo)
Edit: You might also start thinking after the first 2 episodes that its gonna be an endless 8 kinda situation. Its not

Might as well call it "FHOfh es jitreso SJOIFEj" at that point.

I even said it wasn't a good name, no need to be mean.

I started with The Tatami Galaxy because I have a sizable backlog but didn't really want to start with a huge show but in retrospect this 11 episode series is going to take a lot longer to get through. Oh well. Man...legit shook.

Let's analyse the difference in these two titles:

1) Inou-Battle in the Usually Daze

2) Tokyo Mirage Sessions

What do we understand from (1)? Honestly, nothing much. Inou-Battle is not English. Inou is not an English word. We can maybe presume that Inou is a type of battle, so maybe it refers to something like Karate-Battle or Baseball-Battle or Dance-Battle. So Inou-Battle is an undefined type of battle/contest taking place in the... Usually Daze? What does that mean? What or where is Usually Daze? Is this a location with a very unfortunate name? Is it a typo? Ignoring "Usually", and assuming the word "Daze" was intended to be the given meaning of the word, shouldn't it be "Inou-Battle in a daze" rather than "Inou-Battle in the daze"? No matter how we analyse this, it is not just awkward, but linguistically incorrect.

What do we understand from (2)? It's really straightforward. Sessions would refer to a scheduled meetings or events usually, but in the context of music it also refers to live performances. Tokyo is a location in Japan, and the title suggests this is where the sessions are taking place. Mirage can either be taken literally to suggest that the title refers to a series of illusionary or fantastical musical performances in Tokyo, or it can be viewed as a decorative part of an event name - Tokyo Mirage Sessions being the name of a series of performances.

I like the name "When Supernatural Battles Become Commonplace" .___.

(The show was a lie anyway, the battles weren't commonplace)

Special A ep.16-18
Good romcom comedy still and some drama added into the mix. This time it led to some really nice relatioship development for a couple that is not the main pair. Kei and Hikari did show sings of possible growth earlier, but nope, Hikari is almost annoyingly oblivious still, well at least we had the cute moment for Akira and Tadashi. ..

Osomatsu 24: This is gonna end with Osomatsu dragging everyone else back down to his level and then we'll be back to the status quo for a season 2 announcement!

...r-right?

Special A was a pretty sweet little show. It was cliche for sure but it there character interactions are so much fun and the ending is pretty nice.

Feels like Javac's stabbing me straight in the heart, disliking two series that I adore: Kaiba and Tatami Galaxy.

My emotions are betrayed. ;____;

It's a bit slow to start, but it gets noticeably better in the later episodes.

She and Her Cat - Everything Flows - Episode 3

Odds of cat surviving the series - 10%

Odds of girl living in a box by the end - 90%

Your Lie in April - 4

I have to say, showing the piano along with Kousei being submerged in water was a pretty neat visual representation for his inability to hear the music he plays.

This show really is at its best when it's focusing on these performances. This is where the majority of the animation in the show is and it definitely goes out all out during them. While I can't exactly call it top tier sakuga stuff, it's definitely really entertaining to watch.

The more the show delivers on those, the better.

Gundam SEED 06

Heavy 0079 vibe from these early episodes, I hope it finds its own thing eventually. The Strike with different packs is kind of neat.

Tales of Zestiria X coming 2016 summer.
Let's see Ufotable will make the story better or will make Japanese even more mad lol.

I think this will likely be a ToZ adaptation which includes a lot of hooks and maybe even flashbacks to link it with ToB. I'm also not sure who at Ufotable is left to animate this, since they all died making God Eater. Lol.

The staff for Berserk is pretty bad. It's a bunch of ex-Madhouse dudes who worked on iffy stuff, and the co-writer of Psycho-pass as the lead writer.

The only good news is Susumu Hirasawa doing the insert song. Shiro Sagisu is still the composer if you're a fan of his work for the movies.

Does the water wheel in episode 4 of Non Non Biyori spin the wrong way? Or is the perspective off?

Literally unwatchable.
