You guys want to see me actually flip my shit and melt down in a way that I have never ever done before?

Full Metal Panic Season 4 All the Mecha are CGI.

I'm trying to think of a way to make this worse and I don't know if I can. Like, Directed by Kawamori and Hino together, character design by KEY, with a new ending from the mind of Yoshiyuki Tomino?

Animation Production GONZO and DEEN, Hirai faces.

As I said before, I really like the episodes where Ginko just can't do anything. With sad results. ;_;

This is such a good show, I actually have no idea why I stopped watching it in the first place. Must've gotten distracted by one thing or another.

Where instead of a gunpla it's a deck filled with Gundam mechs and characters. Also the world is about to end unless they save it by playing Yu Gun Doh

But that sounds awesome

Well that was really silly.

I mean it's been a silly show for pretty much all of its run but they really went all out with the absurdity in this last episode. Pretty good show. Didn't know what to expect coming into this and... I'm still not really sure what I got out of it by the end.

It was fun though.

Sports anime are usually terrible if you want to learn how a sport actually works.

Unless, I guess, if you actually have shounen powers in real life.

Taisho Baseball Girls is pretty realistic. Quite educational about baseball.

Gundam build fighters - 25
i don't know what happenned at sunrise ( an earth quake , maybe ? ) but i pray that they stay like this as much as possible.

Gundam build fighter is a 10/10 anime.. the fact that it's packed with action is already a feat but it's so masterfully animated durng 25 episodes is an achievement i just can't ignore. that would be nothing if the cast was lacking but in fact it's one of the most relatable cast in gundam i've seen

*Bow

The music in gundam build fighters in magnificent , not only it is diverse ( yuki & fellini themes are godly ) but it matches perfectly with the action and they dared present me with gundam battle porn for 25 episode straight.. Blu-ray i hope you are close because i freaking need them ... this anime is a MUST buy for any gundam fan , any mecha fan , any fan of animation ... it's superbly directed , masterfully executed and so much fun to watch i wish i could gif all the action scenes but my post would be over 1 gb there is so many of them and they are so fun to watch

* bow.

I don't know what they can do to add a S2 and i feel that it doesn't need one , really .however if they do make one i'd take it without reservation.

*About ep 25 *

Aila
followed him !!!! FUCK YEAAAAAAH this was seriously needed , she deserve her life as a princess after all she went trough .. kudos on that ...
Also Can't wait to see bearguy mark IV on the 8th championship tournament( it would be fun admit it ! ).

12/10 anime at his worst gundam build fighters is barely awesome and that's a freaking sucess in my book .

Hnnnnnnnnnnnng
Shes so....hnnnnnnnng

My biggest issue with Strawberries are the sheer variance in taste compared to other fruit. That aroma is what makes it delicious but also what makes it kind of gross, you really don't know what you're quite what you're getting yourself into until you make the bite.

Also why artificial strawberry is the worst thing ever.

Worst thing ever? Try artificial cherries (usually ones for pie filling). Grossest shit ever.

GBF 11

so much delicious mecha action, the hunt-down-fellini squad was hilarious

I was half expecting Reiji to start backstabbing everyone but so far it seems he does hold honor to be pretty important so i don't see that happening

Aila is rising up the waifu ranks to challenge Rinko at the top

Manami is SOOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUUUUTE

Understatement. Shes a bit psycho but god she is adorable.

Nichijou End

I think I"m gonna put myself in the "very hit or miss" camp. The ones with the Shinonome Laboratory had a much higher success rate than those without to me. Did not like the scenes where it just seemed like Yukko and/or Mio yelling half the time, and some scenes dragged on too long.

Overall worth it I guess. It did have its moments, to be sure.

Galaxy Angel is another hit or miss show. A lot of comedies struggle with inconsistency.

Gosh. It's almost like the entire universe is telling Tetsuro that maybe getting a mechanical body isn't great idea.

This episode was a nice little examination of vain-ness and regret. Shadow was pretty cool and creepy as an antagonist, and this episode really had an overwhelming feel of sadness what with the graveyard. And we learned something about Maetel! She had a friend buried on Pluto (who looks exactly like her because Matsumoto :p).

And now we get to move beyond the solar system! Where shall we go next? Nobody knows! Except people who've seen this show!

Being psycho makes girls even cuter.

I didn't like her. She was selfish once you get to the end and she was a douche. After I learned how she treated everyone else in the show towards the end I didn't like her. And I wanted the MC to be with Ayase or Minami the whole time too. OVA's ruined so much.

Honestly, I thought they were all too good for him. But if I had to choose someone to be with him it would have been kuroneko because she's my favorite.

If it's not going to be done by Bones or Sunrise than it's going to be CGI period anyway in this day and age... heck even if it was by Sunrise still a massive chance of it being CGI anyway, either full on or the "Love Live" style where you have 2d animation for close ups and cgi for longer shots.

Why you don't just use Buddy Complex as example? lol

Character introductions, so not much to say here really. Science girl is cute.

Bleh, maybe I'm too tired to give a good review.

I don't know what it is, but the opening line of FMA makes me really sad. Rewatching it right now and I forgot how sad the opening episodes were. It's not like it was purposefully made sad. It's actually quite subtle. But yeah those lines.

"Teachings that do not speak of pain have no meaning...because humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days we really believed that to be the worlds one and only truth."

Honestly, I thought they were all too good for him. But if I had to choose someone to be with him it would have been kuroneko because she's my favorite.

You say it like he's not good enough for any of them so why would you want your favorite to end up with him if he doesn't deserve her?

But yeah I always liked Ayase.

Aura really is the serious, more compact version of the Chuu2 story. Although I feel like they were trying to do two different things with their characters. Aura is focused much more on bullying and isolation, using delusions as a coping mechanism, and I can see why people would find it more grounded to see social consequences for acting odd in the first place. I do think that regressing to cope with a major loss is an equally viable way to look at this type of character, but that's really a comparison I don't want to get into. lol

I will say that, I found the bullying hard to watch - but in the same way that I found The Bully Project hard to watch - because I can certainly identify with the feeling of isolation and simple injustice that the characters seem to suffer.

And in a way, I'm almost glad that the bullies didn't get punished and were essentially allowed to go on with their lives as if nothing really happened on their end. I don't know if that's just a cynical way to look at the world, but inasmuch as there are really no solutions to bullying, I can understand that focusing on the victim is really the only way to realistically milk a satisfying ending out of this story.

In fact, it reminds me of the end of FapNote, which ends on such a shocking downer that it just fucks with all the characters involved and no one is really held accountable. Because that's just how life is sometimes.

(As a side note, although I do think The Bully Project is problematic in spots (which South Park pilloried in their own bullying parody), the lessons in that movie are just as painful to watch. Bullied victims are always isolated, people in positions of authority ignore root causes and blame the victim, and everyone is fine with looking the other way because it's just easier than getting involved.)

That said, it's not like Aura doesn't have a happy ending proper. I just find it a bit bittersweet. If the message is that you just have to learn to cope with feeling like you are isolated until you are used to it, then I'm not sure how happy that really is. As we see in Aku no Hana, that's another form of social separation that doesn't really work either. It feels as if the solution is to carve your own piece of the world, to find your own place in reality where you can assert some kind of identity without retribution. Certainly that is how a lot of subcultures have learned to cope - and I suppose in Japan, it would be a place like Akiba for nerds.

Maybe that's really the only solution, in the same way that a lot of people (myself included) hated highschool and used College/University as a way to just get away from that bullshit. It's not quite the same as pretending to be a level 99 black mage, but it's still a form of escape. God knows I've heard many stories about people who grew up in small towns who ran away to the city as soon as they could, so it's certainly something people are more than willing to do.

Anyway, I glad I finally watched this

Also dat Kobayashi eyepatch. That scene in the classroom where they are being threatened was so sad.

Spice and Wolf Season 1&2
Well I ended up spending all of Saturday watching both seasons. Its a shame there is not a season 3 and I ordered the first two light novels for now.

Because I like to win. And yeah Ayase is awesome. I think that all of the girls were awsome. Well maybe not Kirino but she was hot.

Subtle, Leiji.

Shady doctors are universal. I'm sure if you went into an alternate dimension where everyone was barnacles, you'd find shady doctors. If you traveled into a distant galaxy populated by squid aliens, you'd find shady doctors. Shady doctors are eternal.

Okay now we're leaving the solar system for real this time!
Lawless? I mean it's not like the last six episodes have exactly had a super strict justice system. Tetsuro's been kidnapped by a variety of people and killed like a dozen people, and I think the closest thing to a law enforcement system was the police in the first episode.

Chapters adapted: 90-101(you sure you don't have enough, guys?) with some rather big rewrites, and bits of the arc that defined Kouga's superhero career when he was still in his teens. In this part of the story, he's an adult

Oh hello there Nakata. My, you're sure looking mighty healthy! Shouldn't you have died like, several years ago?

UCwc9IH.jpg

Oh, yes, yes you should have.

Even though the manga is much talkier than this, the anime still manages to break the "Show, don't tell" rule more often. "Shuu likes killing and girls" was really necessary, huh? You really couldn't threaten Jin by saying how Konoha should be punished for being a "naughty child" and phonecalling for help while she was a hostage?

I guess when even during the first episode you're retconning things and turning Jin's father, a very important character in the first volume, into a damn redshirt with 2 lines, I can't really expect this to stay true to a script rather than dumb it down, huh?

There was one rewritten moment that I kind of understood, which is the omission of Hanako's rape scene (for now anyway, as it might still happen next episode). It'd be too uncomfortable to watch so even I would have omitted or heavily abridged it to the point of almost being merely implied, but they replaced that with Konoha almost getting raped instead! What sense does that make?

The other weird or senseless changes would be:
  • Haitani turning up his Aizen stat rather than being the vilain's right hand man and eventual (failed) backstabber
  • Jin getting his red Zetman form
  • Jin's transformation scene being WAY more dramatic and shounen than it originally was
  • Konoha just barely going into shock rather than going into full on cardiac arrest. Kouga even used CPR on her in the manga, technically she was already dead for minute or two!

Gaah, fuck it all. Fuck this rushed adaptation. You guys who watched Inari Konkon Koi Iroha last season can't even comprehend this level of rushing and skipped/flanderized characterization. The first 2 episodes were without a doubt the worst still, however, the memories of them still sting. I have all this hate right now but for some unholy reason I can't drop it! I can only stomach 1 episode every few months, and I feel like ragequitting after every single one. What is this?

TL;DR:

I hope they continue making Yakuindomo OVAs though.
