In all seriousness I didn't find Kazusa to be anything like a tomboy. Tsundere != tomboy.
They both offer distinctly different things for me. Space Dandy makes me laugh for generally different reasons than Rick and Morty.

Humor's one of the the things most deeply rooted in culture, and yeah, I don't think any anime's been as reliably funny as some of my favorite western comedy, I actually tend to be deeply weary of anything recommended due to humor. Though I think Urusei Yatsura tapped into some of what made the Simpsons great at least earlier on (everyone DOES have a good side to them even if they're assholes most of the time. Well, some characters are an exception in both.)
