With hints of other GTAV SKUs, will you be strong enough to wait?

Nope. Though I feel a bit dumb getting it on 360, considering a) there's a mandatory install, b) I only have a 60GB drive that's almost full, and c) I actually didn't mind the PS3 version of GTA4, and I have a 1TB drive in my PS3.

I don't care so much about the graphical fidelity versus next-gen. I just don't want it to be a sluggish, stutter-y mess like Assassin's Creed III.

I've been waiting for a PC announcement for a while now so all the instagram videos hurt my soul deeply...but I'm still standing, I'm still strong.

The last GTA game I played was Vice City on the OG Xbox, but I've watched my brother play 3/VC and SA. I've since not touched the series, but I think it would be a good time to try the series again if it comes out for the PS4, after getting some impressions here on NeoGAF on how GTAV compares to past games. My 360 is a RROD model that I repaired with an el cheapo $12 repair kit and I'm past investing more into that console besides the cheapest of used games. I'll wait until a potential next-gen version of GTAV, I want to begin anew as a gamer. In any case I've got lots of JRPGs to play through until then.

That was the plan from the get-go. After seeing the difference 1080p makes playing through GTAIV and EFLC on PC over the last couple months even with the shitty performance of the PC version I can't see me enjoying a more ambitious game on the same crap hardware that shit itself trying to run GTAIV years ago. Not to mention the shitty mechanics and controls in the GTAIV games has dampened my enthusiasm for GTAV.

Even though I know that Rockstar has made significant improvements they said the same about GTAIV and that game even though it controlled better than the shit controls in the PS2/Xbox GTA games it was still noticeably worse than most third person or open world shooting games and reviewers made no mention of this. I'll wait for first hand impressions and the hype to die down so that people can really reflect on the game and be honest with what they thought of it while I play through one of the over 40 games I haven't touched in my Steam backlog or next-gen titles like BF4, Drive Club, AC4, Watch Dogs, and Killzone.

The hints just make it easier to wait as I was pretty certain there would be a PC version and with the mention of a next-gen version I get the possibility of deciding whether to buy it for PS4 or PC. Fuck double-dipping, I already spend too much money on games I don't play. The only time I double dip is when I have bought the original games long before I had the hardware to buy the better versions like I did with the GTAIV games and Max Payne.

I played (well I just fooled around after my brother beat the game, doing the missions bores me to tears) the last three GTA games on PC, this will be no exception.

I really want to pickup GTA V, but I traded in my PS3 and 360 to pay off my PS4 and XBOne. I never finished IV, and I never started the DLC episodes. I guess I'll be playing them on PC to hold myself over.

I think I'll wait for the next-gen version (PS4). Already too busy this fall for GTA and should get a better experience of the game on next-gen.

I'm getting GTAV in order to play something before I get my PS4, so I'd rather get it right now even if there are next-gen versions on the way. If I do end up liking the game a whole lot, it's possible that I will sell my 360 copy and then get it for PS4; that is all.

I will get the 360 version on the 17th, eventually it will be followed by an Xbox One/PS4 version if includes DLCs.

I can't wait to much to play it.

Nope. After watching a streams all weekend, I'm too weak, I can't wait any longer. I'll most certainly be picking up a PS4 version if it ever ends up actually existing.

Not at all. I have no willpower when it comes to stuff like this. I'll pick up the PS4 version if it ever comes out (and I think it will).

If I cared I would wait. I am not the "OMG must have gaem nao!!!!" person. People like that is why we get fucking roasted by publishers because they know their consumers have no self control. Hell it's why the xbone got announced like that because there is a image that gamers must get now.

I'm going to wait for the PC version but it's not going to be easy but I really want my first playthrough to be as good as it can be. Hopefully, Rockstar releases a better port on PC this time around. The current gen versions still do look quite impressive based on the streams and videos I've seen.

My Xbox360 has not been used for about two years now. And GTA won't change that. If (when) it gets released on PC, I will surely buy it. Not on day one, but I'm willing to spend more than the usual 5-10 bucks steam sales price, if the reviews and user impressions are great.

Once I get my PS4 there will be no looking back. I will be putting hundreds of hours into GTA online and want that experience to be on the PS4.

Although 5 does look good, I got burned by 4 just got bored and never finished. I am more than capable now to wait and see if there's a next gen release before I'll consider buying.

It's ridiculously hard after being too weak to withstand the leaks...and I don't even have a fucking console. Only time will tell, anything can happen.

Since I'm just buying Kingdom Hearts HD today, I have plenty to play before next gen. I can wait because I don't want to pay $60 for the same game twice within 12 months. Same reason I didn't buy the PS3 Diablo III.

We're only two months away from the next gen. I'm not buying any current-gen game that I'm planning to get on next-gen.

If they did a FFXIV thing, where you get the PS4 version for FREE if you buy the PS3 one, yea I'd buy the PS3 one. But no one is doing that...

Haha yeah right, I can barely wait 2 more days!

That would be me. Depending on how the game is reviewed from non-media sources, ei NeoGAF, I'll wait for the PS4 version. There is just so much to play right now that even if GTAV is a good GTA game it can wait.

No. I preordered the special edition today (I had to wait until I had moved to my new place for organisational purposes). However, I fully expect to get the PC version during the next Steam sale or a complete edition containing the story DLC on PS4 in 2-3 years.

I've not really got on board the hype train recently for any game. Having moved from PS3 to mainly PC, most console only games pass me by. The Last Of Us was fantastic, because I had zero interest in following it and knowing so little about it going in made it even better. With GTAV, I barely know anything about it, other than watching that brief gameplay video and knowing that there are 3 protagonists, but that's it. I'm going to wait it out because I can't imagine playing this type of game twice over. So might as well hold out for the best possible way to experience it.

I've got so many games from the Steam sales that I'm working through that I can filter out the noise this type of blockbuster game generates. I'd probably crack if I was itching for something to play, but I've got plenty of great games to catch up on.

I'll get a PS3, PS4 and PC version of this game if it's good. Hell, I'll probably get all three even if I consider it mediocre.

Hell to the no and it has nothing to do with being not being "strong enough to wait". I can afford to double dip and why not for this awesome looking game? Hell, I might even triple dip! PS3 PS4 PC bring it on!

Nope, not even close. PSN pre-order in the bag. Would have loved PC, but R* doesn't. Oh well, it's a great send off to the old George Forman.
