World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

That feeling when your 847 ilvl alt pumps out 289k DPS on Oakheart. Damn fight took 3ms because one of our DPS died.

How one dies on Oakheart? I'll never understand.

So the satchels from queuing don't stick when you start the queue any more? Did that change with 7.0? It's pretty obnoxious because I started trying to do heroic queues as tank and there'd be a satchel when I started the queue but when my dungeon would pop a couple minutes later it wouldn't offer it as the reward and I'd look and the satchel offer would be gone.

Just quietly

But my death knight looks bad fucking ass. He's anime, sir

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
Not sure if death knight or some kind of plate wearing warlock.

Metamorphosis was on loan.

The only thing I miss from old Demonology was the array of Imps you could spawn with Shadowbolt. They tried to make Demonology a pet class and weirdly the old Demonolgy was better at it.

If they kept demonology as was

Took out metamorphosis

added all the new pet shit

it would be great.

Isn't 7.1.5 quite soon?

Probably in 3 weeks or so would be my guess. Get the rest of the class changes in this week and then do tuning the rest of the time.

Edit: Just started leveling my DK. I like the Frost rotation a lot better than Unholy. Really dig the Unholy overhaul except for the actual rotation - I hate how everything revolves around Festering Wounds. The spell effects and the constant summoning of undead is very cool, though.

Hrm.

So I went to go do an LFR of a MoP raid, before I learned that it was set to Personal Loot at a 15% chance for drops.

So whatever. I went to Timeless Isle. I killed some turtles. The first two I killed drop shit. The next two didn't drop anything either. The 5th one I killed dropped only a dew.

And then I realized I was still in the raid party from the raid.

So....I'm guessing that being in the LFR raid lowers your drop chances globally? Using the loremaster to queue into the scenario?

Interesting..

Raids bands practically disables mayor drops and quests drops

After hemming and hawing about what alt to play to complement my Enhancement Shaman, I decided to just roll another one to see if I can get better legendary drops. I've played since Legion launch on the same toon. I have AOTC for Heroic Emerald Nightmare, I've cleared Mythic +9 and two bosses of ToV, and all I've gotten is Spiritual Journey.

I rolled a Goblin. 100 quests later and I'm level 11. I like the zone, just wish it was a little more expedient.

My guess is Legendary drop rate is purely quantity over quality. A guy who spams three Mythic-0s might have far better chances than a guy who clears one M+10.

The more times you roll the better. I don't believe in bad luck protection, blizz just makes shit up. My Spriest doesnt even have a legendary, but my DH got one within 24hrs of hitting 110. My WW has 3 and has done over 300 M+'s.

After first week of HoV, I only attempted Helya like 5 times. Today, got my second shot at her with a guild group from AUS/NZ. Prob like 15-20 attempts we killed her, fight is very intense. After the snore fest that was EN, this was very fun. Doubt I will kill H Helya by Nighthold...thought normal was pretty damn hard as is. Actually speced into Benediction....free renews is so damn nice. Netted me around 12% of my total heals. Considering all my gear is crit/mastery, I don't think I can really go past my current ilvl unless the heroic version of my gear titanforges very well, which I doubt.

Think it is time for me to find a late night raiding group, anyone know where to find groups that are recruiting? Besides premade group finder lol.

Unholy is a methodical spec, frost is a reactionary/spammy spec. They actually both spam a lot, but unholy you tend to be planning around the future, 10-20 seconds ahead of where you're at. Frost is about reacting to all the procs you're getting and triaging your resources and procs while not stopping to think too long about it (You don't want to miss GCDs most of the time).

Came back to WoW this weekend after not having played since Cata back in 2011 (got bored of Destiny!)

I had a full set of toons of my old realm but decided I wanted to start afresh on Silvermoon-EU for a new experience and so far I have been absolutely loving all the quality of life changes they've implemented.

Luckily I still had all my old Heirlooms so just had to relog into all my old toons to get them to activate (stupid design that but hey ho) and that's making leveling a breeze. Playing a MM hunter and dungeons are going so quickly that I've out-leveled the quests I was doing each time I spawn back out the dungeon so I'm basically leveling almost entirely by DF and spending time in between picking up flight paths and gathering.

Also got lucky and managed to slip into a 30+ only guild (I'd prefer to play with people closer to my own age of 29) who seem a really decent bunch and already helped me out with some early leveling and gold. That was after being a member for all of 5 mins and being unknown to every one of them. Made me realise how much I missed the social aspect of this game and all the memories of my old guild came flooding back and for a second I considered jumping back onto my old realm. I know most of them are gone now though and I really do want a fresh start experience so going to stick with Silvermoon and the new guild for now. Seems I do have a lot of reading up to do though but looking forward to getting to cap!

A question though for anyone as I struggled to get recent answers from Google. Apart from activating the Heirlooms, is there anything else I can make use of from my old toons or is most stuff still locked behind Realm only transfer?

Mounts, pets, toybox, transmog, all account wide. Also anything that says "Account bound" or "Battle.net account bound" or whatever, you can simply mail to yourself cross server by name-servername.
IE: I mail myself Marzana-Sen'jin from any server.
That said I think that mostly encompasses the things mentioned.

That's great! Thanks for the quick reply. Account wide mounts will be very useful!

So I'm making my way through Pandaria, just hit lvl 90! I'm really enjoying the quests and I'm happy to just do everything while being overlevelled (yeah I like playing for the story I'm a crazy person). One question I have though... is it worth me unlocking my garrison then coming back to finish off Pandaria? I have no idea what a garrison is really, but could I be unlocking/improving it while still questing in Pandaria or is it a Draenor only thing. And when do class halls become a thing?

Sorry for taking this slightly off topic but what is the guild you've joined? I'm looking for a similar kind of set up on Silvermoon-EU after coming back to WoW so I'm intrigued.

I know everyone already hates Withered Training, and I've only been playing again for maybe a month so this is pretty LTTP to complain, but I've had constantly bad luck in this place and need to share the latest.

I was having probably my best run yet - started with 15 Withered, killed Dro finally, sent back a glimmering chest and was back up to 17 Withered about to send back another glimmering and was only 5 points off max rewards. Was on tap to get max score, backtrack and send back two more chests.

I accidentally hit grappling hook instead of run through to kill the last mob before said chest... and it pulled me through the fucking floor, which of course was the bottom of the geometry so I was falling beneath the world and disconnected. Log back in and of course the training was ended.

Yay.

Personally I like Withered Training (I do it on my Paladin even though I maxed the rep and the only thing I'm missing from the chest is probably the fox mount) but the place has some annoying bugs.

I switched to Frost from Unholy fairly recently. Unholy always felt really easy to manage specifically until you started getting into target switching and AOE parts of fights. And as my guild finally starts pushing into harder things I realize that there are no single target fights anymore. But yeah, so I need a stack of festering wounds but I can't use too many runes because I need them to cast D&D and use scourge strike, also D&D has a cooldown and I'm probably going to be sitting on full RP because we have no AOE spender. Unholy's AOE is just really awkward and needs a rework IMO.

I almost immediately did more damage after switching to Frost even before I found a legendary for that spec. But after I got the belt legendary I feel like it's working against me a bit and as hard as I press all my buttons I can't keep my runes down enough to use Frozen Pulse much. I tried switching specs last night during Odyn but I consistently did worse if I dropped frozen pulse/avalanche. Switching to Glacial Advance from Obliteration did help manage the rune flood a bit though.

I know everyone already hates Withered Training, and I've only been playing again for maybe a month so this is pretty LTTP to complain, but I've had constantly bad luck in this place and need to share the latest.

I mean I really liked it, but once I got all the chests it just became a boring slog for a small chance at my hidden appearance. I'd love for them to put in a new, much harder version with better rewards but it seems most people DO hate it.

Also in my first couple weeks attempting it I was never able to make it through without the instance crashing and locking me out for 3 days. Because it was so critical for gaining rep early on, I missed out on court of stars/arcway for a while and my 5-man group was out a tank as a result.

The guild is called Middle Aged Mayhem (the name is kind of a giveaway lol)

http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/guild/silvermoon/Middle_Aged_Mayhem/

Any of the players in the recent activity list should be able to put you in touch with someone to let join or invite you themselves as other than the age restriction they are fairly open.

They are quite keen on TS as well and a lot of the chat goes on in there if that's your thing too.

Guarm LFR is really a prime example of people coming in with no idea of what the fuck they're doing :p

Odyn was a killer for our group, nobody would get out of the yellow. Myself and like two others would be over the clear area waiting for Odyn to be moved and nothing.

Then with Guarm, we had a tank that kept trying to face him away from the raid, plus people who have learnt "don't stand in the fire" ignoring that this time you do need to stand in the fire.

Helya, though, was weird. We didn't really have any tactics, people just hit everything they could, and we won first time.

We did some heroic Odyn last night. Definitely very tough but I think we can get him next week. Not touching that place on LFR, I like the look of the cosmetic set but not THAT much.

In loot related news, after finding 4 sets of 880 bracers in my mythic+ cache (all with mastery...meh) my guild decided to give me 880 bracers from Nythendra because I picked minor/sidegrade and I guess nobody else bid on them. So now I guess I can expect my 6th set of 880 bracers tomorrow.

I bonus rolled an 895 frost relic from mythic Nythendra too, she must like me. This is after bonus rolling an 880 trinket (the dps one, great for Blood DK) and getting a legendary off the heroic version on Tuesday. My frost relics were both ass so going from an 860 to 895 brought my swords from 895 to 905.

Hopefully Nightbane next reset hooks me up with another relic too. I've noticed his chestpiece drops are very rare and in 3 runs with all 5 people bonus rolling, we've only seen one.

Do any of you guys use emotes for your non-vital or long CD skills? I like it, it adds a little flair to the humdrum of the game.

/cast Raise Dead
/me bends low to the earth and places a hand on the ground, necrotic green energy pulsing through the soil until a decaying hand thrusts up to the surface. "Get up, maggot! There's work to be done."

/cast Army of the Dead
/me thrusts his hand into the sky with fingers curled, violent torrents of pallid purple light burning the area around him as the furious undead are called up to take arms, "Rise, minions! Fight in the name of the Lich King!"

/cast Sindragosa's Fury
/me lifts a gauntlet surrounded in blue flame and shouts with a frozen gust of breath, calling the attention of Sindragosa. The Death Knight commands the direction of the attack, and the monstrous dragon descends to bathe his foes in a freezing torrent.
