World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

I havent done it but the general sentiment does seem to be that Mythic Xavius is undertuned and could have used a special mythic phase.

The lack of a cinematic isn't really odd, those typically have only happened for the final boss of the expansion. That said, it would be criminal if Guldan doesnt have one in Nighthold.
If the datamined stuff on the final phase of the fight is true, I would be beyond shocked if there isn't a cinematic.

Our guild is having trouble getting in enough Mythic+ runs since we have a huge shortage of healers. It's a shame cause the dps players get to a certain level and then feel discouraged since it's really hard to compete for those lower level PUG groups. I'm glad Kara is coming out, maybe that will help a bit.

I missed a couple of weeks due to vacation, but if anyone want an 855 enhance shaman for midlevel keystone runs, I'd be happy to help out. Dragonista#1637

Vengal#1557 I do DK tanking and dps. Best i've done is a mythic+8 but that was with a pug and I don't have a consistent group right now.

Added you. We'll see what can be put together later today then.

Anyone else thing the Xavius fight is pretty lame? Like, almost unfinished?
- Easier then Cenarius

Honestly, Normal / Heroic Cenarius wasn't that bad but I don't think a lot of thought went into balancing that fight for smaller raid sizes? We usually did it with ~10-12 people and that lets us practically ignore managing the puddle as a thing. Adds harder to burn but we'd just cleanse the dragon and I'd (DH Tank) just pop as many wisps as I can with the healing buff up for maximum padding. Usually aim for transitioning after the 4th set of adds. Alternatively, the healers we had may just hate life due to the plan.

Heroic Xavius had a lot more disastrous wipes (trouble pushing 1 add, Corruption never lining up) that seemed mostly due to the amount of people we had. At the same time, when he works it is a pretty smooth fight since everything kind of contains itself. I think the mechanics in the fight are super cool (personalized "don't stand in the circle dumbdumb" AoEs!) and hope to see some more stuff like that at least.

Mythic Xavius vs Cenarius seems dumb though, yeah. Especially based off what I've heard other Mythic fights were like.

I expect Volcanic will be one of the US affixes next week. It'll be nice having affixes that make everyone else's life miserable instead of just the tank's.

Wonder how volcanic works in an all melee group. It says distant players, does that mean ranged only? As in it will only target the healer in a full melee group? Sounds annoying, but probably more annoying if it also targets melee if not enough ranged. Anyway, I am certainly looking forward to the volcanic week, raging+necrotic turned out far shittier than I expected (mostly because of the fact that we got two +7 Black Rook keystones, that place is a nightmare with raging/necrotic)

It can target tank/melee, but dunno what's the cut off. I've only seen it happen during Serpentrix.

So, I'm looking for the vile slime on the hidden artifact. Is there a time of day that is best to find him? There is like 30 paladins here fishing for the next part. Apparently this thing has a long ass spawn time. Just wondering if a certain time would find it better.

Yeah anyone willing to play a very weak class after being warned that the class is weak is either crazy or a lifer. I think it breeds a special kind of person though that isn't down with the flavor of the month crowd
Proud lock since vanilla and when SM/ruin was the spec to go! Still love playing my affli lock, sucks balls that the dmg isn't there but for questing it's unbeatable!

I already hit that wall, its impossible to go up unless RNG grants you some random 860+ gear with world bosses or mythics.

I talked with my GM about joining the core and told me I have to be dedicated to play with them the core days and install discord is obligatory.

Except it's clearly not. These pugs are full of people with ilevels of equal or higher numbers, these people getting those spots from 'non guilded' folk with no friends ARE ALSO NOT DOING IT WITH A GUILD (if they were, they wouldn't be taking your jobs so to speak).

Like, it's a logical fallacy to claim you can't get into a group because it's impossible to get ilevel when clearly these vacancies in groups are being filled. Taking a quick glance at my group finder window, there are SO MANY groups, and they're filling up. Just throw your own group up there and list your keystone if you want, we're not talking about pugging +7s here, we're talking about 3s and 4s (heck, at 850 even regular ass +2s are a VERY viable gearing opportunity for you, Warforging gear isn't relying on RNG, it's extremely common to get anything less than +15 ilevels on gear, certainly common enough that if you actually just run these things, you WILL get 860 ilevel). Keep in mind, the guild groups that ran infinity mythic + carries the first week and got insanely high ilevel? They were spamming 2s and 3s. It was more efficient to do that than to run just your 5 keys up to 10 or whatever. It's RNG in the sense that yes there is luck, but it's not like 1 or 2% odds here, it's like 25-30% odds. Unless you're running one dungeon a week, you're getting gear that you can use.

RE: Warlocks: Destro is performing MORE than fine. It has been. It's almost like the doom and gloom was needless the entire time. Warlocks are in a MUCH better place than death knights, for example.

Doing heroic with a friends guild after getting a bit more gear. 99th percentiles on every boss 'cept Xavius (they killed it too slow)... A lot of fun to go pew pew.

I'm doing the priest campaign right now on an alt, and I'm on Niskara saving fallen priests and paladins.

I can't help but notice that they're all referring to me as Highlord, though I'm not a Paladin.

Way to copy/paste, Blizz.

That was easier than I thought. I just used the group finder, searched for slime and I got into a group with the slime.

Now its fishing time. What a slog, this really is a long quest for a skin.

Thought I assembled a decent keystone PUG for my MOS+6 key. Told everyone to go slow because just wanted 1 chest. Tank double-pulled like his life depended on it, and melees didn't interrupt anything. Wiped a few times and they bailed leaving me with a depleted and no chest.

After that, getting constantly rejected by +3 mythic groups in LFG. PUG hell man.

I guess my pug life is totally different then others. Then again I am to afraid to do mythic plus, even as a tank with decent gear.

Pugged emerald nightmare normal and we competed it with only a total of 7 wipes. I personally think that is pretty good.

If anybody is looking for a tank us horde side but me up. Ilvl is 853.

Not anymore even as a new player the game has become way to easy. My friend is also puzzled at how easy it is. There is no places to avoid, we're just following the quest chains. If we go into a dungeon with normal green/some blue gear (no heirlooms) in a full group most bosses will effortlessly die in 10 seconds. Most trash pack are dead before it hits 5 seconds. If we want any sense of challenge we have to go in as two people, but even that can easily be done since we're priest+warrior.

That makes me sad. I remember as a noob, doing one of the Scarlet Monestary dungeons for the first time and that was what really sold me on the game. Shit got REAL in there and I was fascinated by it.

So northeast in Storheim , a bit west of Storm's Rest I found Sotnar's Rest. There's a hidden cave in there with a purple orb that you can't interact with. Any idea what it's for?

Under water, right?

Its part of the attuning yourself thing to let you get the weekly quest to kill Kosumoth at the Eye of Azshara (non-instance version). It awards a pet (*a tentacle) or mount (a jellyfish) depending on teh week.

You gotta do them in a specific order. There's like, eight or nine.

Yeah, under water. I gotcha.. s'pose I'll have to figure out the order at some point then, thanks!

edit: also, there's another cave underwater northeast of that one, on the edge of the fatigue line. nothing in there that I saw though

Here's a guide if you want it.

You shouldn't have much of a problem doing it now, PVP-wise (if you're on a pvp server anyway). I did it like three weeks after launch and barely saw anyone else doing it. And you don't need to do it a second time.

(Dunno if you'd want to do it on multiple characters, though. The reward won't change per character)

the funny thing is our group is sometimes *all* melee. Our only ranged dps is a hunter and she often plays her DK for more keystones. And our healer is a monk, did they ever fix the thing where they don't get targeted by some ranged-only attacks?

anyways we ran a regular mythic neltharion's lair with our monk's fresh 110 mage alt...and didn't realize that none of us switched to healer until halfway through. We just finished it with no healer and it went fine.

Ok, you guys were right, Elemental isn't so bad. It just suffers in easy content where stuff dies quickly, compared to melee DPS and Hunters. I dig the extra knockdowns and knockbacks that lend it the edge in utility over Enhancement for Mythics.

he had a mythic phase in the files, they just never used it

the fight is easier than nythendra on mythic or elerethe you pick

Ele solo works well if you have a specific talent set up for it. Earthen Rage, Ancestral Swiftness, Icefury, Aftershock. After 7.1 you can just spam Stormkeeper too.

So the main character (I don't play alts - haven't yet) is a herb and enchanter. I am feeling like dropping herbs for alch. Is that remotely sane? I could level my alt, but my main is a druid and if they ever give us flying...

If you're looking for money, herb will probably give the same difference as Alchemy. Really I would say unlearn Enchanting and learn Alchemy for that double dip. Enchanting is kinda..useless..:(

heh I learned Enchanting a week ago. Its up to 200 so not too bad. I been selling veluums with some enchantments for 349-1200g. Only because I was leveling it up.

Alchemy is a lossmaker unless you proc level 3, which is as rare as a legendary.

Eg just compare a flask's market price with market price of mats. In my realm, a flask without proc is a net loss of 600-800g versus raw mats.

Fuck me

No wonder people are paying if they get rank 3, geez.

Got 840 BoE leather legs (haste/crit) from withered training, I wonder how much they'll go for? nothing on a similar level on the AH right now but TSM seems to say about 20-30k

Pretty good secondary stat for resto / balance druid.

What do you mean? It's a mythic dungeon, so weekly reset as usual.

Yup, but was wondering if it shared any characteristics with raids given that it's a 9 boss dungeon hybrid thing.

Like running it multiple times in a week to help friends when you've already gotten your loot (like you can with raids).

Elemental is horribly undertuned for raiding :/

As someone only doing Withered Training for the artifact appearance I wish there was some confirmation either way of how much score you need. Majority of comments seem to suggest that it has a higher drop rate for scores above 500 but I can't tell if that's just because other people like to full clear all the time.
