I already hit that wall, its impossible to go up unless RNG grants you some random 860+ gear with world bosses or mythics.
I talked with my GM about joining the core and told me I have to be dedicated to play with them the core days and install discord is obligatory.
Except it's clearly not. These pugs are full of people with ilevels of equal or higher numbers, these people getting those spots from 'non guilded' folk with no friends ARE ALSO NOT DOING IT WITH A GUILD (if they were, they wouldn't be taking your jobs so to speak).
Like, it's a logical fallacy to claim you can't get into a group because it's impossible to get ilevel when clearly these vacancies in groups are being filled. Taking a quick glance at my group finder window, there are SO MANY groups, and they're filling up. Just throw your own group up there and list your keystone if you want, we're not talking about pugging +7s here, we're talking about 3s and 4s (heck, at 850 even regular ass +2s are a VERY viable gearing opportunity for you, Warforging gear isn't relying on RNG, it's extremely common to get anything less than +15 ilevels on gear, certainly common enough that if you actually just run these things, you WILL get 860 ilevel). Keep in mind, the guild groups that ran infinity mythic + carries the first week and got insanely high ilevel? They were spamming 2s and 3s. It was more efficient to do that than to run just your 5 keys up to 10 or whatever. It's RNG in the sense that yes there is luck, but it's not like 1 or 2% odds here, it's like 25-30% odds. Unless you're running one dungeon a week, you're getting gear that you can use.
RE: Warlocks: Destro is performing MORE than fine. It has been. It's almost like the doom and gloom was needless the entire time. Warlocks are in a MUCH better place than death knights, for example.
