They weren't. Neither is this. Illidan is the main protagonist of the expansion and if you've REMOTELY paid attention to the story you knew his storyline was leading to nighthold. I hate to break it to you, but it's leading to nighthold. 100% guaranteed this quest chain hits that zone up after this 2 month thing (and the fact that nighthold isn't out until january is WHY this is a 2 month long quest).

I think you're screwed until the reset. HoV is probably least favorite dungeon, it sucks in regular mythics. Wouldn't want to try +s

So, I did like 5 or 6 Mythics (not +) and only got 1 for each of them. Doesn't feel like they're dropping like candy.

Some people in this thread seem to be saying they got like, 3+ (or even as many as 10?) in one run?

I dunno, I hit max on the first day I got the quest and have had probably up to 30 go to waste cus I hit the cap. Maybe I just got incredibly lucky but it really doesn't feel like this is a grind.

Gonna give Vault of the Wardens that honor. Especially the last fight when people can't do mechanics.

Nobody's mad that there are things in the game that require you to group with others, or even do so in a manual way. The upset is coming from the fact that an entirely solo storyline, full of interesting scenarios, suddenly switches gears and becomes about endlessly running dungeons (or somehow getting into high Mythics).

It's the change in what you were doing that is irking people.

I don't disagree since I'm also a filthy casual, but totally mixing it up seems to be the direction they are taking lately.

People should not really expect some kind of nutty scenario or lore game changer on the other side of mythic dungeon collection quest. At the end of the day Blizzard wants to train players to use the group finder system and to preform at a certain level. Honestly people just massively out gear mythic dungeons already, and anyone can get to that sort of item level without ever stepping foot in one. If you are interested in the Illidan storyline the guy who stole his body is at the end of Nighthold. Mythic dungeons are at least some kind of learning tool so your path through the game isn't just being AFK in raid finder.

I bet I've had my subscription in October more than any other month. I know there's been at least a couple times when I wasn't actively playing I'd pay for a month just to try for the mount.

At this point I just accept it. Maybe next year I'll have more than one max level character to up my chances each day. But I do think I'll let me subscription go for now and likely hop back in after the next big patch or whatever.

Be sure to check the area outside Black Rook Hold and the Azsuna shore, as well as that area near the lighthouse in northeastern Stormheim, PVP quests spawn there and I sometimes don't notice those.

(Also useful if you have alts you can do it on too, as the quests are account bound)

so our kara was reset again so we used the workaround that puts you in the second part of the instance, after Curator (even tho we didnt kill curator, and even if you go back to his room he's gone). Managed to kill Shade and Mana Wyrm and then wiped a bit on the last boss before calling it. Annoyed we didnt get to do curator but still, fun times.

They really need to sort out that reset bug tho

Do the pvp quests count as pet battles? Or do you mean they'll hide the pet battle quest sometimes when their icons overlap?

I regret now never taking one of the horseman mounts back when you could farm them. Never been that fond of it but the +1 would be nice now, and I'm sure most of those people I passed it to aren't even playing now.

Personally I still think there's a more specific limiter on the love rocket because I think they don't want it to be too common. I suspect it drops a specific number per server per event, and that caps out (in addition to being a super rare drop). The horseman mount though at this point they should just put on the vendor. I did see someone in my guild get a horseman mount this year on literally their first run ever, seeing that chain of achievements hurt my soul.

They're tied to AK right? So I can't even get the fragments quest on my alt until 20 days later or some shit, even when I'm gearing her up with mythic spam.

During Wrath my guild used to get groups of five people together and have them summon every single eligible alt they had to do the horseman for the mount. We'd typically have about 5 alts each for around 25-30 runs, back to back, every day for the duration of the event for either two or three years and we never saw a single drop.

At the very least, the final boss in a heroic should drop one guaranteed lingering soul fragment.

I've run five and not had a single one drop. I'm still at only 2. This is insane. And its not like having a guaranteed drop won't change things much since its a 10 per week cap anyway.

The forge rng gods want nothing with my druid. The only item that forged today was a 840 to 850 relic but I already have a 860 of that type from a world boss

I did a mythic +2 for the first time on the druid and 3 demon hunter alts (lol) tho and got 2 chests (no loot but still)

Nope. I did it earlier and it was reset again. We used the ttick to get to the part oass Curator (who we didnt kill) because we couldn't be arsed (or had time) to kill the bosses again
