World of Warcraft |OT9| People still play this? Isn't it from 2004

95% of the time, it's gonna be the Devilsaur Shock Baton. As sad as that is.
Hm.

You get about 2 procs a minute out of Unstable Horrorslime, it's terrible unless you have a ton of stacked mobs that you can bean with the ooze.

I saw like 3 pop out within a minute tho

I've heard nothing but bad things about the horrorslime so I'd assume the shock baton.

Hmmm

I would like to congratulate @Pillowknight for completing Mythic Emerald Nightmare. grats :)
Thanks, managed to finish top 200 US despite a lot of wipes on dragons and cenarius. It felt like we were progressing at a slow pace the entire time, it's interesting how your perspective shifts when you're knee deep in progression.

Mythic EN was a little disappointing, there weren't any standout fights that were really fun.

Necrotic BRH is something I will never run again if I can help it, and teeming is pretty much the worst thing to pair with necrotic there. The pulls are already huge, last time I tried it on necrotic I would be at 11-12 stacks right as I pulled most packs. That on top of no room to kite (unless you want to LoS your healer on stairs) makes that place really unforgiving with necrotic. And don't even get me started on the spider stairs or bat stairs and how shitty those work with that affix...

Yeah I've tried the random group finder and no one wants to touch BRH with a ten foot pole it seems. Guess I'll just have to let it rot, woulda been a nice chest item for next week but it's probably not worth the misery.

Sorry for noob question, how many hours you guys spent on Mythic progression a week? ^^

Getting into WoW finally, I know I'm late to the party but with the amount of streamers I watch on Twitch, I thought it's time to dive in for once.
I'm stuck between 3 classes, Druid-Hunter-Mage. I think I may go Resto Druid, it's hard to pick a race when you don't really know what to do for a race. Any suggestions?

I know from /r/wow that beginner Hunters are almost never good because most people in the beginning don't know how to role a Hunter and it causes issues sometimes. So I'm looking to avoid that. Race wise, I specifically don't have a love for any certain race. Anyways, any race/class combo I should do?

Hunters are an excellent class to start playing the game with. They're highly mobile ranged dps with a pet that can tank for them.

There are two things that you need to know as a new hunter. For group content, turn off growl/taunt on your pet. They recently removed taunt from the pets action bar on default (why?) but you can find it in your spellbook (P) on the pet tab and drag it into a blank slot. If your group is dropping down off of ledges, dismiss your pet before your drop down. Pets don't drop off of most ledges and will path to you through the dungeon, drawing a huge mob train. Right click on your pets portrait and choose dismiss.

Those are the two things that make people loathe hunters while leveling. If you turn off taunt in group content and dismiss your pet before dropping off of ledges you're eliminating 95% of the things hunters can do to piss other players off when leveling.

Barrage can be problematic later, but you don't have to worry about that particular ability for a good long while.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
I'd say Druid honestly. You get to sample all the playstyles in the game.

As for race, they don't mean much, so I go for aesthetics. You could spend some time looking up the animations on youtube.

Perhaps decide if you want to go Horde or Alliance first to cut the choices in half.

I'd go with this. There's four specs, so if you don't like one there's three others to pick from and each one is different.

Between 12 and 18 hours per week. We have about 12 hours of mandatory raid and if people want to do more we sometimes do more. Last week we raided maybe 16 hours trying to get cenarius down, and this week we did maybe 14, mostly since xavius died really quick.

We're definitely going to try, but I don't think my guild is playing at the skill level to get top 100 US.

Wow modern raiding is surprisingly light hours. I should look into applying to local timezone guilds.

I heard people can steal the fox/killsteal

Should I be worried?
I got ganked at the fox part but was able to resume.

Was doing Kara on my alt Shaman and looked like we were going to wipe on Attumen but tank/healer just solo'd the last 30%. If they didn't finish it off, I would've just left because I forgot to do a weekly mythic on this toon. Looted him and got the mount!! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

damn we're getting all the mount luck

we should join forces and get all the mounts ever

Finally did the Doomhammer quest artifact, Thrall just simply gave up his weapon pretty fast, I was expectinga orc duel for like the orc family hammer but nah, he just simply left

Hmm seems the falcosaur pet bug where you can get multiple quests per day is still active, you just have to have the pet already summoned on the alt you log on to next. Didn't realize since it all blends together doing 4 of them at once but I did 3 quests for snowfeather today and I just got a 4th.

I just hope this horse flys once flying comes around. Probably my "rarest" mount I have. I don't have jack in terms of rare mounts.

My personal rarest is TEH FIREHAWK. I should peruse my mounts to see what I have but...I like the Firehawk the most.

Also, they fixed the Tilling bug! They read my note! Bilzzard is hitting all the notes.

Ya he cheated in the fight against Garrosh and now stormstrike no longer procs for him.

I would like to congratulate @Pillowknight for achieving 800 arena rating and becoming a gladiator trainee.

I would like to de-congratulate @Pillowknight for being an ex-Ragnaros player though.

Yeah reading through these dev interviews as well it's always mages, mages, mages. They are the default "example" class, the first thing they talk about when it comes to balance or talent tuning and swapping. Jesus fuck though half this dev team must be playing mages with just how much attention the class gets for all 3 specs. Celestalon (one of the lead devs) even hangs out in the mage discord from time to time to get feedback -- imagine if they did that for all the classes lol. Those discords are truly great places for feedback/discussion.

Hopefully everyone gets some love when the 7.1.5 notes go up, but a lot of the dev interviews were focused on 3 classes -- that being mages, hunters, and locks. Going to be sad if I see a wall of text and attention on a handful of classes with 1 or 2 notes for others lol.

Pretty sure at some point in the past Blizzard started they balanced around mages in a way.

I'm praying they do something decent for rogues in 7.1.5, love playing as assassination but man our AOE options are…pretty bad.

If Mages caught even a trickle of the development fuckery that Warlocks have endured as a whole the fucking world would end

Mages flipped their shit this expansion already when shadow priests out DPSed them. You know, on only one of out 13 bosses.

Yeah. I keep seeing guilds advertise in /4 only putting down 2 raid nights....

I swore off raiding forever in vanilla after i quit during naxx.. 5 nights a week plus being an avid pvper (joined raid guild to get gear for pvp lol) was just way too much time investment.... Felt like a job....

2 nights or even 3 a week thou....

I often see guilds trying to recruit people and ask for 4 nights a week of presence....I'm still not sure how those people don't end up hating the game or their lives.

I belonged to guilds like that in at least 2 expansions, but that was years ago. I couldn't imagine that level of activity at this point in my life.

I've never seen more than 3 nights of raiding a week as a request for mythic guilds on my server outside of beta practice. And we usually get it down so quickly that it becomes 2 nights a week.

That's the trick that people don't tell you. Casual guilds usually wind up taking more of your time than progressive guilds in the long run because progressive guilds tend to get that shit down quick.

Ah my AQ40 days, can't believe my peak raiding period was on the #1 worst instance designed by Blizzard ever.

Well, there isn't a whole lot to actually raid in Legion right now unless you are hell bent on making progress kills. For example you can easily clear both normal and HC EN (or HC+few bosses in mythic) in few hours once you get the fights down without even rushing and have 1 night for progress.

I imagine many guilds will be adding more raid time once Trial of Valor and Nighthold are both open.

I mean it was 3 nights in MOP as well. I doubt ToV will be run that regularly.

Except an actual casual guild starts at two nights a week and ends up at one. Hell, they might even start at one night. We don't even have any kind of attendance requirements in my guild, there are people who join a raid once every two weeks or whatever.

Most tanks and healers don't get to make that kind of decision, even in casual guilds.

I don't think we've had the same tank duo in any of our raids in the past month. Sure it makes progress slower, but that's casual for you.

I don't know, my brother's in a casual guild and he has to go every week for every raid on his tank because even with other tnaks, the people will whisper him about how he needs to go because he's geared and it'll make it easier
