FULL SPOILERS FROM TONIGHT'S SMACKDOWN TAPING
by Mike Johnson @ 10:58:00 PM on 6/13/2006

Mike Johnson was live at tonight's Smackdown taping in Trenton, New Jersey and sent in full results from the show.

The Miz announced Rey Mysterio vs. Gregory Helms for tonight's show.

JBL came out in his limo and said he was the new voice of Smackdown, calling himself Mr. Ratings.

Rey Mysterio vs. Gregory Helms - Rey's shoulder was taped up. JBL threw his hat at Rey when they were on the floor. Rey pinned him after a springboard legdrop in a good back and forth match.

Booker T vs. Bobby Lashley - Finlay and Regal jump Lashley as he's coming to the ring. They triple team him. Gunnar Scott and Matt Hardy run out to protect him.

Backstage, Bobby Lashley told the trainer to get his injured knee ready because he's going to get his hands on Booker.

Ken Kennedy defeated Nick Berk.

They announced Great Khali vs. The Mexicools. Backstage, Psicosis told Super Crazy he had his back.

They aired a Sylvan video. His new gimmick is Ambassador of Quebec. It was designed to look like a vacation promotional video.

The Mexicools vs. Great Khali - After several minutes, Psicosis walked out on Crazy, leaving him to be pinned.

Miz interviewed Ashley for winning the bikini contest. She introduced the next match.

Matt Hardy & Gunnar Scott vs. Finlay & William Regal - Finlay pinned Scott after hitting him with the club. Good match. The Leprechaun attacked everyone after the match until Finlay tossed him back under the ring.

Backstage. Teddy Long told Booker T he's going to wrestle Lashley tonight.

They aired a Batista return video.

Michael Cole interviewed Chavo Guerrero. Cole said that Rey asked Chavo to come out of retirement and what was his response. Chavo didn't respond with a clear yes or no. Mark Henry came out. Henry said that its a shame he doesn't wrestle anymore because he'd show Chavo how he shortens and ends careers. He started insulting Rey. Chavo got in his face so Henry attacked him and laid him out.

Backstage, Michelle McCool started insulting Ashley. Ashley challenged her to a bikini showdown and McCool said she wouldn't do it in front of the New Jersey lowlifes. Ashley told her to stop acting like she was teaching class and find some class instead. McCool walked off.

Vito in a blue dress defeated Scott Wright via submission.

In the main event, Bobby Lashley pinned King Booker

God bless Tommy Dreamer.

Hey, Sabu vs. Cena at Vengeance.......because we didn't have that match for free a week ago.

Yup, and they had a chance to get him over BIG time sunday and messed up big time. CM Punk would have gotten a great response considering ROH works that venue at times... Punk>New ECW though eitherway, though.

Well.. here is the obligatory "poor rey" comment.

The champion of the show OPENING against the Cruiserweight champion, not to be heard from again...Atleast he won:lol Probably would have jobbed to anyone higher on the roster..

So, from the jist of things, and watching this show halfway through...

Well, this is pretty terrible.

Honestly, the battle royal was the best part of the night.

Sabu fighting Cena again is a pill I can swallow.. I mean, it involves ECW wrestlers, unlike what would happen if the Big Show won.

This show sucked ****ing huge ass balls, but I will give it until after Vengeance, because that is when it will really pick up is after all of this WWE vs. ECW bullshit ends.

And the first episode of the New ECW ends to the resounding echoes of silence throughout the arena.

Mission accomplished, WWE. You did the exact opposite of every single thing you could have done to get ECW over and launched as a respectable brand.

You know, even if they did get a good initial showing in the ratings due to the hype, they were completely counterproductive in keeping viewers and adding more through word of mouth.

Pretty much.

**** you WWE.

I dunno, did all of you just plain forget about ECW on TNN or something? That sucked, and this will suck too. I was calling this weeks ago, and everyone told me just to wait and give it a chance. You don't need to give anything a chance when you know Vince is involved.

I really, really like Angle and Big Show's new styles and how they're being booked, but they're not ECW, and the rest just sucks.

The battle royal bothers me because it personifies what the WWE believes is hardcore. It just came off really weak with the exception of the Dreamer spot. Even that wasn't so good.

The zombie's promo was goddamned AWESOME, please tell me someone youtubed it or something.

Seriously, we were joking about an alien running to the ring and someone coming out and beating the hell out of them.

That is exactly what we got.

There IS no hope if they keep doing this in front of smackdown crowds. They have a bunch of guys like Little Guido(nunzio) Al Snow, Stevie Richards, Justin Credible, and Tommy Dreamer in which they made low carders/jobbers on WWE TV, and others like Sandman, Roadkill, Doring, Tony Mamaluke etc.. in which the average WWE fan/little kid knows nothing about, and expect to get a strong reaction from the crowd--that isn't going to happen.

Cena's match against RVD ant ONS was the most entertaining match he has had throughout his entire title reign, and that was because of the crowd....Come on Vince think.

When he came out and got on the mic, I was like "please go RAAAAAAAA AAAAAARRRRR and shit", and that's exactly what he did! Most satisfying match ever!

I'm just going to pretend that only ONS2 and DX happened this week. Thats all that happened. THATS ALL!

Keep the "Tight Jeans + Belt" trend alive, HBK!

You can hear the snake from that belt crying on those jeans.

Damn PWtorch fans HAMMERED the show...guess so, like others said I'm watching next week and if we get this shit, I'm not even going to bother.

ECW on TNN was a hundred times better than this was, if for no other reason than it felt like actual ECW and now WWE with a bunch of new people.

Sabu will own Cena on Raw...and Cena will get him back on ECW TV..

ECW goes off with Cena music playing at the end.....................with the crowd going ****in nuts!!!
