Since he's been on Raw, he retired Jericho...ran Christian off Raw....beat Kurt Angle 20 times....lost the title after a EC match...won the title 2 weeks later...and made the almighty HHH tap clean at Wrestlemania.

Has all types of heat (good and bad) and he hasn't missed a beat. I've been watching wrestling for over 20 years and I've never seen anything like this before. Bret's last WWF title run would come a distant 2nd.

I don't hate Cena, but looking at the old Cena PPV matches, the personality and work he did was better back then. But Cena has made literally millions following the script that Vince made for him. Hopefully there will be a character tweak to return him back to his old character.

If you get a chance look at the Cena/Undertaker match. The build-up was classic. Remember Cena peeing on the toombstone? But for some reason, Vince sees his faces as just kiss asses, not with any personality. Atleast it appears that is what he is most comfortable with.

CM Punk is the Anti-Naruto and the Anti-John Cena....No suprise, because their fans seem to be one in the same. 11 year old boys around the country, probably spend hours trying to figure out if they should go with the Naroto or John Cena shirt.

yes I think that it but the funny thing is the only face to escape this curse has been Stone Cold (though they did make him superman after awhile) and Austin was wrestling's highest draw in its most profitable era...

That's basically why everyone hates him. Cena is basically booked as God and he doesn't even have an interesting gimmick. All he does now is act like a badass and salute. Then he squashes everyone and never loses unless interference happens.

I don't think any of us actually hate Cena as a person, or even his current character that much. It's that everyone knows what's going to happen. Overcome the odds, 5 moves of doom, blah blah blah. The "Same old shit" idea isn't unfounded. It's not Cena's fault that he's being booked this way, but it's only logical that a lot of fans have gotten sick of this bullshit and take it out on him.

There is nothing wrong with getting a good push. But my main problem with Cena is that he doesn't put anyone over DESPITE getting the victory. The wrestlers with talent can make their opponent look damn good and put them over in the process despite getting the victory. The way Cena works and sells(or lack there of) in the ring, makes him come across and totally obliterating his opponents.

Its like instead of the finish we saw tonight against RVD and Kurt, RVD hit the top rope kick, RVD hit his spinning heel kick, then hit rolling thunder, then hit his split legged moon salt, and then hit the frog splash FTW back to back to back to back to back(5 moves of doom style) , totally no selling the extensive damage he took during the match in the process. That would have made Kurt come off as looking weak. Both him came out of this looking competitive and stronger.
