Google Glass this ain’t.
What's fascinating here is that it is ABSOLUTELY a VR headset, probably one of the most capable on the market, but Apple is TERRIFIED to even speak the word VR. Like they're convinced the whole segment is toxic but they've sunk this much R&D into it, so let's pivot and pretend it's HoloLens.Jesus Christ. It’s literally just a fancy AR headset.
Not even VR.
Rumored price is $3500 lol well seeYeah the tech is absolutely insane.
This thing is gonna cost 2000 bucks, lol.
add a grand.Yeah the tech is absolutely insane.

I say more.Yeah the tech is absolutely insane.

Too much emphasis on ‘work’ for this to have consumer pricing.
You can use any game controller or mouse and keyboard. So there is no controller interface?
Just gestures?
No rings? lol
You can play games with a PS5/Xbox XYZ controller, but only on a virtual TV (which I bet will look beautiful). So there is no controller interface?

That would have been nice. A one handed controller of some sortYes I got that...
But no apple input method?
Only if you buy the appropriate subscription tier. Can my digital persona live on after I die?
I think you stand aloneGame changer imo.
very impressed.
Same price as HoloLens 2.3499 holy fuck
I think you stand alone
Im watching with a bunch of people in real life and literally all of them say they want one.I think you stand alone
This was a bizarre presentation. They went out of their way to show NOT ONE fucking thing I can't already do. Oh, I can watch movies and browse the web and run apps? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP.
The hardware looks cool, but Apple's vision for how people will actually use this is incredibly boring and I don't think all that compelling in day-to-day situations. Maybe cool for travel, but that's not enough for a device that costs as much as a used car.
One is for an individual niche product the other is a entertainment device that all people can use.Game changer imo.
very impressed.
3499 is a steal. You can spend more on a 77" OLED. Are you people foreal? Lmao.
And most people don't purchase 77" OLED's, I get it's got impressive tech, but as I told Eddie ages ago, this isnt really for general consumers, it certainly isn't for games (which is all I'm interested in), it's mainly for pro use (it's in the name)Game changer imo.
very impressed.

Bull/hyperbole, just because Apple will be launching a non gaming focused AR device that has nothing to do with the future of VRBut yea if this fails, VR will never take off. This is it
