It means that if someone now puts a bet on, they will win less money (should the bet win), than they would have won before the odds were cut. Bookmakers do this for one of two reason.

1. Lots of money was bet at the higher odds, so the Bookmakers balance their books by increasing the odds on the other market and lowering the odds on the one that is getting more money from punters.

2. Something made it statically more likely for the that pick to win. Forgetting about WWE for a second, and looking at football, bookmakers would cut the odds on one team if there was a rumor the other football team was going to field a side with a weak squad of players.

Ultimately, there is reason to believe bookmakers now think that Cena has a greater chance of winning tonight due the recent fluctuations in the betting market. Cena is not favourite though - Lesnar still is.

The fact that WWE is predetermined really makes it hard to figure out why odds fluctuate. For example, in the last few hours before the Royal Rumble, Batista was the favourite to win, but at one point Bryan's odds were drastically cut to make him the odds on favourite. A lot of people thought this meant word got out from WWE that he was going to win the Rumble, but this ended up been wrong.

tldr: Wrestling betting is weird

Interesting stuff. Thanks, friend! I'm so fucking hyped for tonight.

I really want Cena to win for the laughs. Its gonna be like Cena beating Lesnar and Taker at the same time
It's also inevitable. Cena is losing tonight, but he'll inevitably win it back soon enough.

I never understand smarks. They go nuts with joy when Cena loses, then get mad when he wins it back in a few months. Haven't they learned anything?

Don't take the betting odds seriously WWE has finally clamped down on it. The odds have been wrong. Wyatts are suppose to win the tag titles last pay per view and the WWE has made Dolphins1925 hated.

Plus it seems the next Summerslam location will be different:

SummerSlam is not expected back in Los Angeles next year. The expectation is a major New York market arena.

Brooklyn or Madison Square Garden.

I don't know why people want to see the LOL CENA WINS fallout again. It's happened so many times on GAF, that it's no longer a spectacle. The WrassleGAF Cena Wins Fallout is just more of the same ol shit.

Brock taking the title and company hostage? Baby girl, you've got a stew going.

I don't even feel like this is a "thing" anymore. Cena overcoming the odds used to elicit rage, and that eventually became laughter. Now it just... is.

Honestly, I don't know if WWE is intentionally doing this, but when the match was first announced I would have given Cena 0% chance to win over Brock. As time has gone by the last 3 weeks I honestly don't know and Cenawinslol keeps creeping back into my mind. I think it's just a combo of Cena's history and Brock/Undertaker at WM30.

Either way this is probably one of my more anticipated PPV main events this year because of that.

The worst thing about tonight is that WWE has probably ruined Ambrose and Rollins. Lumberjack match. I genuinely can't remember a good one. Could've done No Holds Barred, Cage, Ladder for MITB briefcase, but they do a Lumberjack match.

Edit:

I think people should stop overthinking things. Lesnar is probably winning because at the very least, it's something new. There's nowhere to go with Cena. But that doesn't mean he won't be dropping the belt back to Cena or someone else soon after because he's only good in short doses. The whole streak ending doesn't matter. No one gave a shit about the match anyway, and they probably did it because of the Network to make it seem like big shocks do happen or some crap.

Considering its one of their biggest events I'm always surprised by how small of a venue they run them at.

Is anybody else praying to god right now that cena loses? I usually don't believe but...

Lumberjack seems like a justification for Rollins to go for a super high spot. Needs more than Ambrose to break his fall to do that safely.

Once the PPV starts, I am going to be looking for the highest place standing structure in the arena.

Most of the recent CENA WINS fallouts have been for B-tier PPVs in angles that haven't had much hype or build. This Brock/Cena match has had such a good, solid build and has more hype than anything since Wrestlemania. A CENA WINS tonight would be legendary.

you don't understand, Brock is coming off of breaking the Streak

A CINA WINS lol would be like him retroactively going back in time and beating Taker.

I think Bork is trying to collect WWE infinity stones,

1. Break the streak
2. Beat Jhon Sina clean
3. overcome the shovel and make HHH tap out

what are the other 3 things he needs to do?

No way Lesnar loses tonight. Absolutely no way. It would completely nullify the Taker streak breaking.

You really think they're gonna pass on the opportunity for Cena to overcome more odds?

cue Michael Cole shitty, forced hype yelling to sell that Cena overcame the odds.

Brock said he will do anything tonight to win.

Are we going to see the return of the SSP?
You heard it on GAF first folks.

Brock bringing back Statutory Sick Pay to WWE just to beat John Cena. That way he can take off the next few months and remain champion without being stripped.

Tought shit Bryan. Had you thought of this first, you'd still be champ.

because after 10 years people will still convince themselves that he'll lose because it makes sense

yet time and time again the only sense WWE cares about is Cena overcoming the odds so all the little jimmies can jizz how their real life superman saved the day again

If there is an announcers table spot today, and someone accidentally throws a monitor in Michael Cole's face, this will be the best PPV in the last 13 years.

Just finished watching the classic Punk Vs. Lesnar match. Man, does Lesnar sweat a lot. That ring gets absolutely soaked by the end of that match.

Listening to the latest Power Bombcast, did WWE not just try to form a new heel black stable full of black wrestlers that were heels just because they were black?

That seemed like the worst possible idea ever
