I actually liked Miz back then too, I was cheering for him. That little Orton girl in the crowd who was so angry was the best bit.
Who didn't love Miz Girl? Everybody loved Miz Girl.

Even she was converted to the dark side, however.

What a horrible card. It boggles my mind that WWE thought people would pay money for this shit. Maybe this is all some kind of joke?

Oh I won't be the only person here to bring it up.
And as for your comment that I've bolded up above, his clean win over Cena shows what kind of faith the company HAD in D.Brine.
The usual suspects did their part to undermine that faith during his main event run.
If they had the same match today, there's no way in hell Cena loses clean to Bryan.

Nah, I think they're setting Bryan up for a bigger win. They're using his success and status now in combination with Punk's to make the Wyatts seem like a threat. They used him to make the Shield look as strong as they do as well. I'm confident they're just waiting with Bryan. Only time will tell

When did the Survivor Series format change?

I haven watched wrestling for a good while now but didnt it used to be 4 vs 4 tag teams?

They've been going back and forth on it since 1992, but the concept really started to change around 2000. After that it became 1 or 2 SS matches per year. Title matches or big gimmick matches ave taken precedence since then.

Big E is a prime example of what WWE doesn't need in their main events. Dude is just another boring powerlifter. There has been no good musclebound big guy since Brock Lesnar and there never will be.
You should follow his Twitter. I feel like he's over at all exclusively because of how funny he is on there. Everyone's waiting for them to let him be that way on TV.

He can't connect with crowds, that's for sure.
Ricardo could connect with crowds and that helped to mitigate some of Del Rio's flaws.
Unfortunately they removed Ricardo from the equation so Del Rio's left to his own feeble devices now.

Del Rio could use some time off. As long as he needs, it's not like he's a dude they need for buyrates or anything. and come back with stronger booking. Maybe a repackaging. I dunno.

That entire video is gold from front to back. From Triple H's snub, Vince's look, Cena's semi-hug, AJ's golfclap, to JoMo searching for something nice to say as he wonders where things went so wrong that The Miz is WWE Champ and he isn't.

It's just perfect.

Just look at Zack Ryder. LOOK AT HIM. I fucking burst out laughing. Ether, man.

Edit: and for some reason, Sheamus's sincerity was really funny to me, too.

That belt looks like a cheap replica also Zack Ryder wants to kill Miz LOL. Everybody in fear not to do the wrestling respect handshake OR ELSE. Also Alicia Fox is hilarious in this.

WOOoOOOooo~

Ziggler is so damn amazing. He still sold that move like it was the death of him lol

That reminds me of the submission hold HBK invented when he had a brain fart and tried to do a sharpshooter and a figure 4 at the same time and just said "fuck it" and dropped down.

I hope when Sheamus comes back they make him a heel and hopefully he doesn't suck at it. He's pretty damn good in the ring so I'm hoping they do something good with him. I can't watch another Cena who's the dick nice guy that somehow wins at everything.

Nah, he'll feud with Del Rio and have the Taco Shits again.

Some of my favorite Survivor Series teams:

Forgive my ignorance, but in the last pic wit Miz, us that ultimate warrior? I'm only just getting back into Wrestling since 04ish, but have been doing enough research to know that would have been impossible.

MachoTeam-300x227.jpg
vs.
WWF_Survivor-Series-1987_The-Honky-Tonk-Man-Team_Outlaw-Ron-Bass_Danny-Davis_Hercules_King-Harley-Race.jpg

This was one of my favorite SS matches.

Team Macho ("Macho Man" Randy Savage, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake)

vs.

Team Honky (“King” Harley Race, Hercules, Honky Tonk Man, “Dangerous Danny Davis, ”Outlaw” Ron Bass)

The great part about it was that previously, in less than a year, the Honky Tonk Man blasted a guitar on Jake "The Snake" Roberts before Wrestlemania III, won the Intercontinental Belt (a WTF moment) from Steamboat by cheating, and then with that, he started declaring himself the greatest IC champion of all time, drawing the ire of Savage.

As the match wore on and people got eliminated, it was down to Savage, Steamboat and Roberts with HTM all by himself. They all kept tagging in and out, beating the shit out of HTM, until he said "Fuck this" and bolted for the count out.

Also on that card, that Tag-Team 20-man match was crazy just on the visual of seeing so many guys out on the apron.

First Survivor Series, best Survivor Series.

Last year Dolph Zigger was the lone Survivor defeating Randy Orton fair and square. That win catapulted him into another year of jobbing
oh and a world title win whatevas

Ziggler was what got me actually watching Wrestling, then he just did nothing and was barely even shown on TV. It's a shame since he can play to a crowd pretty well.

Ziggles made the mistake of getting over when he wasn't supposed to.
Now he's learned his lesson.

That's not why. He was complaining publicly about his position in the company, instead of keeping that between him and management.

Chris Hero reportedly got fired for something quite similar. Vince doesn't mind if your eager and hungry, but don't air your dirty laundry in the media or Twitter, because that gets you a one-way ticket to the doghouse.

Also didn't help that the PPV he "headlined" against Cena did horrible buyrates, even for a B tier of its type. The build was horrible and Ziggler did the best he could with the crap he had, but he was still an easy target for low revenues.

Ziggler wasn't given many opportunities even before August or whatever it was when you knew Ziggler was being sent to the dog house. He was holding the WHC and lost to Del Rio in that double turn, great, things may be looking up. But instead of prolonging a feud with Del Rio and the title, they shifted it to Big E and AJ. It was a mess. And even before his cash in, he was basically doing tag matches from Rumble until Mania and jobbing in singles matches - despite before the Rumble he beat Cena in that TLC match to retain his briefcase. I'm certain they'll keep him down despite complaining or not, they just give it to their favorites, i.e. golden boy who gets his strikes taken away.

Monsoon and Ventura called commentary and once HTM left to give the babyfaces the win, they gave a reason as to why he left, and it was a great one. He's IC champion and he's, quite frankly, taking a beating against Roberts, Steamboat, and Savage. So he left so he doesn't get injured and risk losing his IC championship. It all made sense. I wouldn't give today's commentary team any credit to give out such a response.

Just about the worst card in decades, will watch for Best and Beard...but that's it.

Cannot believe in the space year 2013 that Paul Wight is headlining Survivor Series.

WWE Polls never disappoint.

They have a huge problem with AJ Lee, they want her to be a super heel...but she will always be cheered by the crowd as long as she's fighting this Total Divas stable bullshit.
Vince just doesn't get that there's a disconnection between Total Divas and a WWE wrestling show. TD's core audience enjoys curling up on the sofa and watching some trashy docu-soap, but they're not going to buy a ticket to a house show or order a PPV.

That came after reality kicked Spirit Squad Nicky in the ass. And yeah, social media isn't the proper outlet for such grievances. He should be thankful he's still employed.
