Last Guardian aside Sony's "year of dreams" just made me fall asleep.
Normally I don't have anything against old stuff being dragged out again but the quality and innovation is rarely good and this gen is severely lacking in good new games.

A Jade Empire reboot would make me lose my shit over any new IP MS announces. Not to say the new IPs would necessarily be bad or anything but Jade Empire is one of my top ten favorites games of all time. Bringing something like that back is what the year of dreams stuff is all about.

The same applies to Sony's show last year. Those games were tied to great memories and games that were probably favorites of all time for people. Shadow of the Colossus is another one of my top ten favorites so TLG getting announced again last year was definitely an amazing moment for me.

New IP can't get that sort of reaction overall because they obviously have no connection with the audience. It can be great in general but it won't get that same response.

I honestly wouldn't mind if they tried something different from typical Halo like have new Rookie segments be 3rd person cover and stealth while alt characters are played in 1st.

Books ruined that set of characters and Halo 5 fucked Buck up by making him a Spartan but they could figure something out.
New characters or prequel with the same crew(without Rookie) including Dare, idk.
