Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

I'm would only be really interested in OG Xbox support if they did it right. If it ended up being as wonky as it was on 360, I'd rather just play the games on my .. well... OG Xbox.
Would be fascinating if they could get it to work like they did with 360 games, but I wouldn't hold my breath for them to actually make it happen at all.

More requests:

- Full Auto
- X-Men Origins Wolverine (This game is so dope)
- Two Worlds 1/2 (stop laughing)
- Burnout Revenge (duh)
- Ninety Nine Nights 1 & 2
- Rumble Roses XX
- Skyrim (not buying again)
- Darkness 1 & 2
- Conan
- Wet
- Saints Row 1,2,3
- Sacred 2
- Radiant Silvergun
- Pop: Forgotten Sands/2008
- Warhammer: Space Marine
- King of Fighters XIII

I hope Microsoft will review this thread and will work hard to make this happen.

Didn't want to start a thread and my googling isn't giving very good results.

I have an OG XBONE, had it since year 1, and the controller refuses to sync. I can't turn on the system with it or anything. If i plug in the USB to it, it fires up immediately but if I unplug it loses sync.

I can manually resync the controller and remove batteries and repeat, and eventually it works but it's a solid 10-mintue process to turn on a game.

Anyone experience this? It's totally botched.

it's interference from something. Mine does this once or twice a week, but I live in an apt and cant really do anything about wifi signals or whatever.

Update your controllers through the mini usb if you haven't yet.

edit: Or above me.

Have I missed something or have EA gave away some of their games?
On my Xbox one looking in backwards compat and noticed I now own all the mass effects, Medal of Honor and a few other titles.

EA access vault games are free for a week so probably showing up in ready to install list due to that.

Is it farfetched for me to hope for OG Xbox backwards compatibility announcement today? Is it even feasible? Probably not, but a man can dream...

It probably won't happen, but I don't think its outlandish to hope. Phil has stated it is within the project goals for the xbox one. But it's not top priority.

Phil wore an original xbox logo shirt last year on stage so ya'know...could happen.

I still have 100 games (exactly) that aren't B/C! I know I'll never get Rise of Nightmares, Rock Band 3, or Beatles: Rock Band, but I'd like to have the other 97 someday!

With the OG Xbox Live currently offline, I wonder if these OG titles will have any online play? I guess so seeing as they showed Crimson Skies specifically.

SHENMUE 2

I'm confused. Real backwards compatibility or updated versions? They said it looks and plays better...
It'll be emulation based.

"Looks" could mean better internal resolution, but they might just mean image quality (HDMI vs composite or whatever the OG XBox had).

"Plays better" seems speculative to me.

This is the only reason why I am willing to plug my Xbox One back up and play some of the titles I missed out on. Looking forward to playing Blinx: The Time Sweeper if they end up making it backwards compatible.

Definitely isn't farfetch since they just announced it!

They did it. They effin did it. Original Xbox BC.

I've got a stack of them and would love to pop in Shenmue 2 again. Will have to wait and see how they do it.

OG xbox backwards compatibility could mean you still have to buy new versions digitally. Who knows.

Ninja gaiden black with achievements would be the best thing ever. I am so excited by the possibility.

If it's true BC it will be difficult to add interesting achievements to games that didn't have them in the first place. Maybe they can hack something (Sony has a patent about it though), but it would most probably be progression achievements ("finish chapter X") rather than complex ones (defaeat a boss without being hit, upgrade weapon to max level, ...)
