I've seen this pop up against recently, along with Bioshock 2.
Given how bad DS's framerate could be on 360, I can't imagine it will be the most pleasurable of games to play on BC.

I don't expect much from black ops 1. Probably will be 20fps and lag and glitches. Was hoping this was the one game I could out away my 360 and just play on xb1.

Why would you assume the emulator performance would be the same? The results have been pretty much worse across the board for bigger 3d "full" games.
Black ops is one of the first near 60fps games they will be emulating so it will be interesting to see how it holds up. I expect disappointment for now.

Yeah, no doubt, good advice.....pissed off that the only reason to turn on a PS4 since launch (I've bought 2), is Amplitude but they couldn't manage any decent licensed songs... in house only mostly (please correct me if wrong).
Very disappointing compared to all the regular updates, exclusives, and overall improvements (except for the holiday break) with a lot of improvements and new interface dropped on everyone, despite the complicated AV set-ups it was intended for.

Or maybe they just saw that they sold millions by pushing gtav on the new gen and are considering doing the same with rdr. Some improvements in controls, a few upgrades here and there, and they'll likely make a lot more money than simply having the game added to BC
I'm like 90% confident that RDR is being tested for BC.
The thing is with all these big games, I think MS and publishers alike would rather wait until the 360 store is integrated with xbox one because it's gonna help with sales a lot. Whereas right now it's mostly smaller games with the odd big game but nothing that's gonna set the charts on fire unlike RDR etc.

I'm almost done playing through Gears 2 via back compat. It might just be my imagination but I think performance is better now than when I originally tried it - runs nearly perfectly.
There were a number of weird glitchy graphical effects such as poor cutscene transitions and shoddy animation, but I YouTubed the cutscenes and even played them natively on 360 and turns out that Gears 2 just has those problems, not a Back Compat issue.

It didn't, it was probably the worse COD game regarding performance. A napalm strike would be a fps drop guaranteed, it was really annoying.
Still, I'd love to go back to old zombie maps. Zombie nowadays is about easter eggs and dumb stories, I want it to go back to survival and the occasional easter egg.

Why does that matter? Read Dead came out the same year that Metro 2033, God of War 3, and Heavy Rain came out which all have been remastered (or are in the process of).

Rockstar and knowing about projects rarely ever go together.
Red Dead didn't get a PC release though and the sequel will be out this year or next most likely, a remastered version missed the boat if you ask me.
Anyways my 90% came from that I've caught an MS employee testing it among other games which came true and EvB finding listings of it on it on the xbox store and he's been pretty damn spot on with his lists even the obscure games. Not tales from my ass/wishful thinking like the shanafan thinks if I'm reading the post right, if not I apologize, it sounded like a sarky response.

This to me would be the most likely explanation for no remaster, afaik RDR never went to PC because the console versions were duct taped together on the tech side and a ridiculous amount of work would be needed to port it to PC which current generation consoles are similar to.

Rare Replay is a collection of 30 games, but not a single one is remastered, they're all emulated.

I dont know, but what we really need is an overall look at these games now that BC is officially out. Some of these games need serious work (the GOW games, Halo Reach) on not just an input lag level but also on the technical end, too.
The Gears games got an update that improved it somewhat but they're still pretty off in many aspects. It would be nice if someone put some pressure on MS to both get this stuff working better and also for them to be more upfront about any fixes they have in the works.

These games will always be off somewhat. They will never be perfect due to the fact this is software emulatiom.

this is more about input lag in these games. why are some games fine but those ones suffering from the problem?
Does the compatibility work with cut games?
I redeemed the codes for Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 which came with Siege and I could download Vegas 1 but Vegas 2 does not show up. I checked on the xbox website and it shows me that I have purchased the RB6V2-DE (german cut version).
