Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

I just received an email from Xbox, and something caught my eye...

Looks like the email was probably prebuilt, maybe these titles were supposed to be available in this past update. Nevertheless, I would assume they're coming very soon. EDIT: The email was title "Power Play: March Issue", and is from the Microsoft Store in Canada.

These titles have been listed as "On the way" since November 9 - http://majornelson.com/2015/11/09/t...ackward-compatibility-games-is-now-available/

Sigh - I really want to return to Rapture & Columbia.

I hope, I would be super excited about the Bioshock games and Skate 3.

I was about to post the same thing when I saw that in my email.

The thing is ... it says New games now available

I got this too what gives?

The "Spunky Cola Special" DLC for Monday Night Combat was also never fixed ;-;

Has anybody experienced any problems with this game, btw? I know there's the general lag problem because of P2P, but does it have frame drops during high waves?

That's some kind of PR damage control I'm sure, it's no coincidence that Halo Wars has been linked with users's 360 purchases
Yeah, there's too much content created specifically for that email for it to just be something an employee assumed/made up.

I think someone just fucked up their dates.

You can now play a version with proper music
uhhh...from my memory the music is the exact reason the 360 version is inferior to the original. The music is quiet and muffled on the 360 version. SOTN came out well before they upped the allowed file size of xblive arcade games.

Interestingly enough, they actually bumped up the allowed file size with the release of SOTN. Must have not been enough.

So hows Alan wake running on X1? The game's performance on the 360 was very solid if I remember correctly

Game seems to be running fantastically, from my experience. Playing the lead-up and some combat areas in Chapter 2. It plays exactly like I remember the 360 playing it. No noticeable frame rate or input issues for me. They got this one right!

Edit: Only disappointment - I was hoping they would throw in the base image the Director's Commentary DLC that was included in one of the special editions.

I have the Nampo museum virtual arcade compo disc which I used to get Ms pax-man and pax-man CE.

WHERE THE FUCK IS PAC-MAN?

Like I can't install Pac-man. :(

I have found scratchy audio to happen in every game, though it happens rarely.

Odd because I've only found it to happen in 2 games I've played. Those being Red Dead the short time it was playable and then Halo Wars. Who knows. either way the audio bugs like that aren't enough to make it unplayable. That's for sure.

It definitely doesn't make the games unplayable, since it happens so rarely. To illustrate go to 4:30 in this Digital Foundry video:

That scratchy sound you can hear if you're observant, happens in every game I've tried, though extremely rarely. It's a very minor issue and doesn't take away from how awesome the backwardscompatibility program is.

I just saw that Gamespot put Dark Souls on their BC list, went to download it, and it's not showing up in my tray to install list for some reason. I own it digitally so... Wth!

Side note SOTN is and its glorious.
