Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

Interested in Mars Logs. I'm going to ask at the Technomancer thread if it worths playing before Technomancer.

Bloodforge is sort of a generic, low-budget attempt at a God of War style game. You play as a barbarian wearing an elk skull or something, and it's really bloody if I recall. I think I only played the first level, and I remember it being alright, but not amazing. I got it on sale near the end of the 360's life, so I didn't give it much time.
I'm one of the 421 for Bloodforge. At some point I went through all my digital 360 games and voted for all the ones I wanted to be able to play on my XB1. I know it's not some big name, big budget game, but some people will enjoy the fact that it's BC.

Some of y'all try too hard to be negative or not look at the bigger picture too often whenever new titles get announced.
Bloodforge - published by Microsoft. Microsoft said every game sans Kinect from them will eventually come. You were going to get this game at some point. It was even in a summer of arcade IIRC.
Mars: War Logs - niche but entertaining game. From Spiders who just released The Technomancer this week. Pretty apt time to make it available, whether coincidence or not.
Gripshift - only one I don't really see any connection to anything haha
Go! Go! Break Steady - again, published by Microsoft. You'll be getting Microsoft games. Time to come to terms with that.
I'm not sure why people continue to keep looking at the voting pages. Those are not really to be taken seriously, at least now that we are a year in. MS will continue to work to bring all their games over, and will continue to work with 3rd parties to bring games over, and as we have seen the 3rd parties have some say into when they are available. Star Wars came out on Star Wars day...does anyone really think the game miraculously was completed on Star Wars day? It was probably ready for ages and was held back. RDR we know has been working for quite some time and it's obvious Rockstar is holding it back.
I could go on and on, but I'm generally saying that people need to stop getting so weird whenever a game comes out that isn't Skate or RDR lol. I realize not every game is your cup of tea but my god is it insufferable. I liken it to games with gold announcements when people come into threads saying the offerings are "trash" since they never heard of them or already beat them.

They did. Which is why I'm shocked it still hasn't been announced. Especially when Phil Spencer actually referred to it by name as well.
E3 would have been a perfect time to announce it. Unless they're having individual problems with the game?

Personally I don't care which games are added to backwards compatibility. I have some titles for Xbox 360 that I wish to play sometime in the future. I'll definitely play them on my Xbox 360, but it would be nice to play them on my Xbox One with the option to record clips or take screenshots.

Ya same here, it's just tiring seeing Twitter and sometimes here people slagging these games and begging for skate every time haha.
Like I really want Batman Origins, AC Rogue, Singularity, Dantes Inferno, Dragon Age 2 added soon. New Vegas was in my list but that prayer got answered last week!

Gripshift is a fun game but I own it on PS3, unfortunately. It was console exclusive to PS3 for almost a whole year and was on the PSP even before that. The 360 got a late port so I never got the game there but I encourage people to give it a shot.

Is it possible to check how far a download/install is through the xbox app (formerly smartglass) or anything really that doesn't involve being in front of the tv with the xbone turned on?

Microsoft's priority should be to make sure these games run as well as they do on the 360. The BC framerate for Mass Effect is still borderline unplayable. I loaded up my disc on my 360 and it definitely doesn't have the issues the XB1 version has.

Nope. You can only trigger the download to start via smartglass or the web interface. No way to query its download/install percentage though other than looking on the console.

Another week ,another not update for VF5FS. The life of a VF player hasn't changed in 15 years. 
Also, I'm still wondering if they'll ever update foreign games, specifically Japanese ones like the Cave titles. I'd imagine they could potentially get SOME sales if the VN owners and Cave owners had a reason to upgrade.

I thought MS said that all games they published would eventually be BC, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't end up doing the games they already remastered (MCC, State of Decay)

I highly doubt they'll skip Halo 3/ODST/CEA. They'll likely just low priority for testing due to MCC.

So this has been asked 8 billion times I'm sure but we know nothing about if and when Black Ops 2 will be backwards compatible other than it has the most votes and Black Ops 1 became backwards compatible a month ago?
So I see Tales of Vesperia is on sale for dirt cheap during this summer sale. I know it's not already BC, but is there a chance that this game could be added? I do not have a 360 and I'd love to play this game.
I know Dark Souls is BC and this is the same publisher, so is it worth the gamble to buy it and hope that one day it will be added?

RDR is one game with the most votes too, still hasnt appeared as BC game even after it leaked back in February...
Might as well. I feel like this game needs to become BC. It's one of those good will gestures much like Lost Odyssey.
