Games like Halo Infinite which began development as an Xbox One game will release on Xbox One. Games like Hellblade II, Avowed and Fable wont.So this "cross gen" policy means, that they are finishing games from old heads there?
I wont mind Jeff Strain doing a MMO for MicrosoftI hope he is right. Great news if true!
I want a good single-player experience. That's what Fable is to me and with Game Pass there is a need for a mix of traditional MP, pseudo MMO/MMO Lite, and traditional SP titles across a wide variety of lengths, budgets, and genres.
Not to mention I think the pseudo MMO/MMO lite market is saturated with some great games that developers have really stuck with as they've pioneered the genre-Sea of Thieves, Destiny, Division, ESO, FO76, Warframe, Anthem 2.0 (maybe). I play a pot of Destiny and struggle enough to balance that with my backlog. Can't imagine balancing Fable too.
I imagine that was the original State of Decay pitch. I assume to changed over time to become the third person partially open world survival title we got to play. Personally I'd like to see them adopt a Minecraft realms approach there; let me drop in and out of a constant world that my friends and I share.I wont mind Jeff Strain doing a MMO for Microsoft

Why is Microsoft not funding Jeff Strain and Undead Labs to create a AAA MMORPG ?
He has worked on WoW,Guild Wars,Warcraft III,Starcraft and Diablo. With Microsoft's funding he can make a proper MMO that everyone wants.www.neogaf.com
Yeah, Microsoft should make something like Amazon's New Light.I do think there is room for a proper MMO from MSFT though.
Didn't realize they we working on an mmo. Interesting.Yeah, Microsoft should make something like Amazon's New Light.
Didnt watch it myself. Just posted it here for anyone interested. Can't stand going through that. Does he say anything important?
gunplay and physics are solid, feels like we're back to basics in some ways
I think the core gameplay and open world concept are great. Just looks like the game is 2 years out and not releasing in a few months.gun play and physics are solid, feels like we're back to basics in some ways
I wasn't clear if that was for the trailer or if that's how the game actually is.So with The Medium I imagined it switching between the two "worlds" via a transition effect - but it looks like it actually splits the screen and you get simultaneous movement in both? Interesting stuff though.

I think the two screens running at once was just to demonstrate both sides at once, but I think it was a terrible idea that was just confusing to a lot of people.
I always imagined it would play like the time skip part of Titanfall 2 where you instantaneously flip timelines. Or another way of looking at it is the Halo Anniversary games, where hitting Y instantly switches between OG graphics and the updated visuals.

I'm not sure how you would play both at once as there are often impassable obstacles on one side of the screen.
