With Mag weapons, you theoretically should be able to deal with pretty much any Captain/Viper/Mectrooper/Sectoid pod without getting hit assuming you don't aggro a billion at once, so armor isn't nearly as valuable as Mag weapons for Blacksite 1. Mutons, or Viper + 2 StunLancer pods are rough, and you don't ever want to fight those without either two nades, a flash, or a mimic (hard for Blacksite 1)
Psi Gods can also clear MC, disorient, etc. just by walking near the soldier if you have that skill trained.
So I'm stuck on a mission where I need to defend an asset from destruction because I can't help but go for my optional objective to. It seems impossible to kill theskulljack a cipherand complete the objective... Should I just do the mission without the skulljack and do that afterward on an easier mission? I typically do everything right away but this time it's rly hard to do.avatar

You guys think there's a patch coming soon? I mean this game has a ton of issues, and yet I was still enjoying it quite a bit.
Now that I ran into a game breaking bug and don't have a backup save I'm not sure what to do.
I do recall that the early hotfix solved the Chryssalid cocoon issue and it fixed saves that were stuck on that, so your run may not be a total loss, but whether whatever issue you're experiencing is tagged and/or a patch comes out in a timely fashion is a non-100% shot in XCOM 2 (ehehehe)
If you're partial to that campaign, you could make a backup of the save, but I'd just start over at this point.
That moment when it is your first time in the final boss that you decided to go Ironman anyway and two on your squad die while you literally have no idea if you have to start the game all over again from the beginning if you fail this.

If you fail it lets you either restart the mission or load a save at the beggining of your last turn.
I got 25 installed on my Legendary run.I really cannot wait to start another run just for the mods and stuff, but I promised myself I'd wait for a bigger patch first. Besides, I should start a bunch of other games...

It's an interesting choice, especially considering anyone determined enough can go back up their saves anyway.
I'm on the final mission with 3 psi,You can still lose if you're playing 'careless' but generally missions are too easy now and feel meaningless.
