Yeah, really. You can't jump once you get the flight module. On top of the things already said, the flight music always kicks in long enough to reset the zone music. It's dumb.Oh crap, really?!

Heh, that's nothing. I accepted a Basic Mission that wanted 3 of an item that spawns on the far side of Cauldros. I haven't even started Chapter 6 yet and I decided to soldier through on foot. Really hard to find the path through that region and several unavoidable anti aircraft turrets along the way that could take out my party super fast. But I made it! I also found the entrance to the giant castle that has final dungeon feels all over it. Made it pretty far in before security escorted me out
This guide seems really good but its all end game http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/701151-xenoblade-chronicles-x/72977406Hmm I wonder if the game has been out long enough (factoring the Japanese release) for someone to discovered the most optimal setup for probe placement and maximum efficiency for chains with a high bonus modifier to get materials quickly and maximize Miranium.
Probably too soon I guess.

I finally got my skell.
They can swim in the water right?
Yup. And in lava. (Don't ask me how it works) Magic metal or something,
I can not get the Attack on Biahno Hills quest to pop up and it is driving me mad. Does anyone know how to trigger it?
Who designed these boss battles?
This is straight up Deus Ex HR difficulty spikes.
I was like 5 levels above the boss battle for chapter 9, and they kicked my asses with these bullshit 1-shot murder skills.
Even with the difficulty lowered the guy kicked my ass and I only won the fight because the last teammate was able to revive me in time.
But when the skell battle started I wrecked their shit.
Game get your shit together.
Also there was no reason for not letting you use skells in the first battle.
Boohoo, was expecting everyone in NLA to get new dialog after I got to chapter 4. Instead only maybe 5% of people got new dialog, not worth it to go around talking to everyone again. Wish it was more like Trails in that sense.
Chapter 5
I'm really surprised that I am fucking Mimsome (robot) and I was told to keep that secret for that information but everyone in the city knew they're mimsome and lifehold... so what the heck?!
That sounds fucking terrible. Why would they do that? I expected flight mode to be on a separate button altogether and different from regular ground mode with jumping etc. Finally got my skell flight pack and while yes it's fucking awesome there's a MASSIVE downside I haven't seen anyone mention:
Once you get the flight pack say bye bye to being able to hop around in your skell.
"But Woof, flying is better than jumping anyways"
Tell that to unnecessary fuel consumption when you just want to hop a little ledge or climb the side of mountain. Not even tapping the trigger works, it insta-goes to flight mode. They should have forced you to hold the trigger for flight or something.
Also hopping away from enemies, and in between enemies to grab items real qukck and hop away before the aggro, is gone now. I did that shit all of the time in my skell.
The crew being mimeosomes wasn't a secret, they assumed you remembered and didn't find it necessary to remind you - everyone else is fully aware of that. The Lifehold running out of power is what they're trying to keep hidden from the rest of NLA - though from various NPC conversations, you can see that's not entirely contained knowledge either.
Let's put a giant countdown clock in view of the entire town, but keep the significance of it top secret. That ought to keep the rumors and speculation under control!
It's a pretty stupid contrivance, but I assumed it was some integral process they couldn't easily disable (since it was originally part of the White Whale, the Lifehold might have needed easily visible diagnostics in the main population centre), and covering it up would cause more suspicion than just leaving it there. Of course, it's just because they wanted a twist.

If you wait until the next chapter, nearly every NLA NPC will get updated/completely new dialogue.
What does the effect blackout do?

So I made fun of Mia, and she literally tried to eat my face. WHAT IS THIS GAME
I'm going to hold off on theand next story mission and take care of more missions and treasure hunting to fix up my miranium production.Flight
Uh no, you should get the flight module ASAP.I'm going to hold off on theand next story mission and take care of more missions and treasure hunting to fix up my miranium production.Flight
I think I'm still officially at Chapter 4. I did the first story mission after FINALLY getting out of that affinity mission.
Went in at level 16, thought I was overleveled, that boss almost got me. She was tough.
I'm apparently already good to go for the next story mission, but I'm gonna do some stuff around town first. I wish I could turn the radar off the UI, or switch it to the gamepad. it's killing my poor TV.
Blade Fencer for the win. :3
Just beat Ch 5 and after the wtf moment, I suddenly remember this game is by Monolithsoft. Baten Kaitos, Baten Kaitos Origins, and Xenoblade Chronicles all have major twists. It's been a few years and I had forgotten about how Monolithsoft's stories are. Freakin' love it!
I think the Baten Kaitos I twist is still considered the best twist of all.
But thehelps out so much with the hunting and discovering sight seeing locations. 0oFlight

I have no idea but I want to assume it's a blind debuff that causes enemy attacks to miss or it lowers their accuracy.
Wish there was a place I could read up on status effects.
Oh. That's what the use of the squad mission. I pretty much neglect it. So white S icon is the one I need to kill. Interesting. Thanks for thatWhen your online and automatically part of a squad, you can see a row of icons on the lower right, indicating the number of enemies and/or items to collect within a time limit. These are Squad Tasks.
When the number on those icons hit 0, you'll earn an amount of tickets. The best part is, as you are part of that squad, you don't necessarily need to do those tasks. Of course, if you do kill an enemy as part of that icon, you'll earn a ticket per kill.
If you see a white "S" icon above an enemy, those are the enemies you need to kill.

I don't remember this option. Where did you meet her ?

About the end of chapter fivetotally called that they weren't entirely human about, ooh, a minute into the character creation process, when you get to choose their eyes and they're almost all weird cybernetic designs. Then it was confirmed when Elma straight up encourages you to jump off a cliff, and not long afterwards some NPC asks if someone is 'damaged'.
