It's true, just checked. You can put a PS1 disc in your PS3, and it'll stream it to your PSP (remote play). I always thought you needed to Digital Downloaded versions to do that but nope.
Also, while the PS1 disc is in your PS3, head on over to Audio and you can rip the tracks/music from the PS1 disc, which i always thought was kinda cool.
Works with my Sharp TV. oldish model too.I believe it only works with Bravia TVs,
On the PS3; Settings-System Settings-Control for HDMI=ON
TV: Settings-HDMI settings-Everything ON/Yes
I don't know if this works on any other brand of TVs : ( Sorry.

Nah it's CEC, pretty common
the full install feature on 360.
the fact PS4 still hasn't announced if they'll have that feature is irritating me.
Putting music CDs into a PS1 during gameplay to change the music.

Plugging a keyboard in the PS2 blew my mind back then.
PS1 retail discs are compatible with any PS3 model....
SRS just found this out....
PS1 discs playing their own soundtracks in a CD player
has technology really come this far?!
Listening to Pink Floyd on the PS3 while the Earth rotates in that visual thingy. While high on meth.
Maybe that was included in an update because I know my Jap Tobal 2 and US Einhander didn't work in my PAL PS3 when I tried.
S-Video support on any console can be called "obscure" (in the US at least) and the fact that I can say that with a straight face makes me very, very sad.
...what does pushing the square button do?Not obscure I'd say, but using and abusing the square button during video playback on digital content. Holy crap is it amazing for videoplayback.porn
Also putting the PS1 games into a cd player let you listen to some games soundtracks. Used to do it with Destruction Derby 2 all the time. Some tracks would be unreadable though and crash my cd player.
Using third party controllers and USB devices on PS3. Hell, with a generic usb dongle, I can use my iPhone headset!
How is this possible?

Gamecube's handle.
SNES, GC, and N64 had the same AV output. Same with the Playstations. Could reuse cables
The trailer things annoy me, prefer the still logos with no music.![]()
I like the mini trailers that plays whenever you highlight a game or it's save file icon. Too bad not a lot of games have been doing this anymore.

Or just press L, L, L, L, R to start them instantly.Anyway, another cool feature: The Super Game Boy has animated borders. Leave your console on for a while with no button presses, and shit will start happening.
