In general, and in a vacuum, I agree. Especially if YouTube was a publicly/government funded platform. But it's a private platform owned by a corporation, and no one is entitled to a space there. If Alphabet/YouTube decides that they don't want an individual accused of inappropriate behaviour with a minor on their platform, it's their right to remove them.

I don't understand the kids of today. When I was young, our idea of fun was playing football outside, playing videogames and watching WWF. Why are kids these days attracted to social media influencers or whatever they're called? How is that fun?
 
Shocking, honestly. I assume he rebuttled in some way, and provided some kind of proof? I haven't seen many cases of someone's channel getting demonetized on YouTube, but after happening I've never seen it get remoneitized.

I still think the guy is a huge POS, can't stand his schtick or his content either. I'll stick to glancing at LIRIK and avoidingthepuddle from time to time, lmao.

It's wild to me. When I check out streams I'm usually multitasking. So, I'll have one up in the corner while I'm working, or playing something slow. But it's not for real long period of time. It's wild to me to think of kids just watching content for HOURS similar to how a lot of us watched tv growing up.

Some of the content creators that kids love are so hard for me to watch too, lol. Clearly not for me.

Have never really understood the draw to overly watching streamers either

I will admit I have some up that I can listen to but dont really watch them and I actually sub to a few that are people I know in real life just to support their dreams (though I never watch them)

It's not that complicated or different. Only thing that's changed is access. More people have access to money/fame/celebrity and more kids have access to them(internet).

If we had this level of internet/social media when we were kids, we'd be doing the same thing.

50 years from now, those same kids will be saying "I don't understand kids these days. When I was young, I would watch streamers on Twitch, and play Fortnite/Valo with my friends all night. Why are kids these days only interested is reliving these influencers(or whatever they're called then) day in VR as soon as they get free time?"

Technically all of them are violating both platform and game TOS when they stream.
The world will be a better place when studios prohibit streaming of their games.
If anything game sales will go up to fill the 'void'.

Studios not only want them to stream but pay some of them obnoxious amounts of money to play their games. Streamers aren't going anywhere even if the whole thing is as fake as game journalism.
