Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.

Yanick Roy is the studio director for BioWare Montreal, the team behind Mass Effect 4.

If there were any doubts.

Question: do we actually know it's called "Mass Effect 4", or just that there's a new one?

Montreal/BioWare has already said it's not called Mass Effect 4, but until they Contact us with an official name that's what I'm calling it.

I take this as a ban bet, OP?

Deal. I'll go on one month exile if it's not there.

If you really want to put 2+2 together, BioWare Edmonton boss Aaryn Flynn said he was also heading in too (yeah, Dragon Age: Inquisition). But it's who's accompanying him that may stoke the fires even more.

For #E3 @CaseyDHudson and I should have taken this Mass Effect inspired jet! #Fitting #N7 pic.twitter.com/fZ7fb40NK1

So 90 percent certain next ME will be announced. OR Casey's next big thing teased (SWERVE)?

Please don't be a prequel. The "Mass Effect: Contact" rumors have me worried.

The prequel book was actually pretty good, if they stuck to that it could be alright.

Or if a sequel, some Batman Beyond type thing where you work under an aging Shep.

What if this ends up being the exclusive Xbox title?

That'd sell a whole lot of Xbones and be met with the most insane levels of game nerd rage the Internet has seen in a long time.

I can't handle any more hypes! Very interested in seeing the direction of the next Mass Effect if that's what this is.

I'm willing to make an avatar bet.

Base bet: Mass Effect sequel/prequel shown during Microsoft's press conference, cross gen game.

Extended bet: Same as Base bet, but with a release date announced. Early 2016, February.

I thought we were done on the whole ME being exclusive to Xbox thing?

Also, EA would pretty much kill off ME's potential as an IP if they ever go exclusive again. It's debatable that it never managed to achieve anywhere close to its full potential as a brand when it had 2 titles in a trilogy that was exclusive for a significant period of time. ME3 probably didn't do much to reverse that either, given that ME was such a story-driven trilogy that it's hard to disassociate the 3rd game from the first-2, no matter how much EA tries to sell that you can jump in at the 3rd game.

I doubt they can get anything big anymore though like they used to. I know they tried to get the new Mass Effect but EA said no.

Seems like it's way too early.

And it'll also pull the rug out of Montreal's official full-game debut if Casey came out and said "that Mass Effect 4 thing? Pretty cool right? HERE'S MY NEW IP BOOM!"

Yeah, I was somewhat kidding a bit. Casey's the Executive Producer on the Montreal project with Mac Walters, so he'll be there for ME, not his own thing. His next thing will likely be announced next year.
