Playfire Rewards Discussion Thread

I think Playfire started to adding £=$ again. This morning system recognized my Giana Sisters Hardcore achievement but on balance i got 0.5$ instead of around 0.8$(£0.5).

When i sum up my monthly earnings, numbers don't match.

That's a display bug on the rewards page. Once the credit is actually transeferred to GMG, the conversion will happen end everything should be correct.

Is it normal to be waiting over a week to get a reply from playfire support?

I got what I assume to be an automated reply after a few days (which I replied to because it didn't solve my problem at all), but it's been over a week since then.

Wait for a reply can be up to a month. They're terribly understaffed.

Wow, I think there's about 10 games I have that I can get rewards in that are active now, crazy.

Edit: 14 games, and I can get £12.00 worth of credit for getting them all. Not that I will...

Flashout 2 currently has a bug where it unlocks a bunch of cheevos when you launch (or quit?) the game. All Playfire cheevos, even.

Fuck, I unlocked Worldly Warrior on Super Street Fighter IV within the limit time, but since this page takes like 24 hours to update your progress I didnn't received anything

Send a screenshot of the unlocked achievement to the support team and then wait for like a month for them to sort it out.

What are the Crimzon Clover rewards? I see only one on the Rewards page (start the game) but I noticed I got one for beating a boss.

Is there a dedicated rewards page which lists every single rewards available to get on one page? Its pretty messy at the moment.

There ya go! Should also be in the OT iirc.
It takes some time to update when new rewards are released, but it works pretty well apart from that.

Well, I finished playing reading The 39 Steps. Took about 3 hours (you'll get all the reward achievements just by progressing the story). I can appreciate what they were trying to do, but honestly, people should just read the book. The medium added nothing to the story, and it was hard not to just get more concerned with clicking through things than it was to actually get involved in anything. The art was okay and the voice work was passable, but they weren't in any way a replacement for your own imagination. Quite frankly, Dear Esther was a lot more involving and interesting.

Not related to Playfire, but to get the last achievement (and thus 100% steam completion) you have to watch all the way through the end credits, and if you alt-tab it drops you out and you'll have to replay the final scene to get there.

Which boss did you get a reward for beating?

Is the Lego LOTR map stone achievement bugged for anyone else?

If you mean in game, you have to be sure to manually unlock each one directly. They all show up on the map whether you have or not. I just went back through and did each one until I finally did all the ones I had missed.

Unfortunately I've already done that, maybe I'll try again.

EDIT: Yep, one of them was undiscovered.

Wow.

Screw the DLC Acheevs and the ones that expect you to get to the end of the game. Even speedrunning Bio2, I couldn't hit that.

Sometimes those are nice for people who have played a lot of the game but not finished it. But Bioshock 2 is only 12 hours long or so, over a week to do that really isn't bad if you are actually interested in playing.

A bunch of rewards for many games haven't unlocked in the last update of my profile. Don't know if I can be bothered to contact support. We're talking 6 or 7 games. Would probably be a PiTA.

Same for me, will wait a few more days and see if they pop up.

For those thinking about playing it, Driftmoon achievements are not being tracked, the playfire system doesn't even show it as having achievements available.

Unrelated - Proof that a considerable number of people are still cheating achievements, in Woodle Tree Adventure, the Playfire reward is for getting 3000 berries. It now has been unlocked by a higher percentage of people than the 1000 berry reward (there's no bugs, and no other logical explanation). In addition, playing through the game normally from what people have described won't even unlock the 1000 berry achievement, it takes a large amount of grinding. http://steamcommunity.com/stats/299460/achievements/

My Lego Marvel stuff has taken longer than 24 hours to show up in Playfire. I'm starting to worry.

Yesterday I noticed a day's worth of achievements had been tracked by the achievement tracker but not listed in my rewards, today they all showed up. From what I can tell my account is being scanned and updated once each day around 1 am EST. If the achievements are in the tracker it sees like a safe bet that the rewards will show up eventually. Hopefully anyway.

Oh excellent catch there. I checked the tracker which I totally forgot about and all the achievements I was missing got tracked at 3PM yesterday. Phew.

Yeah there are heaps of people "cheating" the system. 2 people in my friends list, in the space of minutes, unlocked every single achievement across a dozen+ games without any of the unavoidable interim ones!

Amazingly according to the app, I have a possible $28.10 waiting, I'll be lucky if I get 1/4 of them. Can't even get Goat Simulator to load into the new city without crashing anyway.

Checked my PlayFire account today, and every single achievement now has its reward recorded. So, 24 hours is not always the most you should wait.

Whats the statue that you have to email them? I never got Transistor or Tower of Guns rewards, which is fine, but If I have to send something mind as well go whole hog.

I have added the people who provided links to their playfire profiles.

My profile if anyone would like to add me.

JawesomeJaw: i didn't do anything. I had given up on them adding the rewards. 50 hours later, I had the rewards in my account. It's almost as if they are doing this stuff manually.
Edit: Scratch that, not 50 hours, more like 80, now that I look at my achievement history.

Honestly, unless they are very close personal friends, I'd be inclined to tattle on them. The one thing that can easily destroy this program is if too many people are cheating it and they are giving out an unduly large number of the higher awards than they should be.

Personally I wish they'd just get the client up to par and require it for the program, I think it would solve the vast majority of the existing issues.

Even if they are close friends, I'd tattle. Don't ruin something for everyone else doing it legitimately.

There's an achievement in Goat Simulator called Goatbuilt that is currently broken and unobtainable. The devs have even renamed the achievement to mark it as broken. And yet, 0.1% of all players globally somehow managed to get it.
