Uncharted 4 runs at 1080p and targeting 60fps

Ah, alright. Well, should be interesting to see if they can pull it off altogether.

I definitely know it's not CG, but at this fidelity, there's no way it's going to hit 60fps. I'll eat all sorts of crow if it does.

Naughty Dog must be flattered to read everyone claiming this is CGI.

One of the most impressive videos I've ever seen at E3 from a visual standpoint. I haven't been this taken aback since... I really can't remember.

I just hope this is what we can truly expect from the game and not some pre-rendered nonsense.

Yep, yep

Like I said before, if they hit 1080p/60 with this game in 2015 then my expectations for this entire generation were just shattered.

I'm assuming it will be like most other Naughty Dog game reveals/cut-scenes. The gameplay itself will likely not be quite this detailed (it doesn't need to be as you won't get that close to Drake's face, or a bunch of sand), but will look so pretty damn close.

No matter what, I'm pretty sure this will be the best looking console game for quite some time.

They must love it. If this was any other developer I would jump on the cg/downgrade train, but this is fucking Naughty Dog. If anyone can do it, it's them.

Kinggroin isn't exactly an honorable title.

QueenGroin then?

Though in all seriousness. If ANYONE in the industry that can pull this off, its Naughty Dog.

They haven't disappoint me so far, so shouldn't we give them the benefit of the doubt?

If they can come close to 90% of the graphic capability they showed tonight at 1080p and 60fps. I'd sat they succeeded more than 99% of the developers out there.

We have to wait and see. But if they pull it off. Countless crows will be served.

This is all the trailer says on that score ->

But again, it's not CG. CG has a very specific meaning. This is not CG. You guys will see as the E3 interviews are done, just be patient.

I do not think for a second this will actually make it at 60fps though.

The same message was in the TLOU VGA teaser. As everybody knows, that game uses pre-rendered cut-scenes. ND does not give a fuck.

Visuals at the start of the generation looking like that? Imagine in a few years what Naughty Dog can produce. The jump between Uncharted and Uncharted 3 is huge.

Is a year enough time for The Last of US Directors to recoup the loss of the previous writer/directors?

Bruce Straley co-directed Uncharted 2, so I'm sure he's plenty up-to-speed. Both he and Druckmann worked on the first two Uncharted games (Straley as co-director and Druckmann as lead designer on Uncharted 2) so the franchise is in good hands.

I'm a HUGE Uncharted fan. I was as sad about Amy leaving the project as anybody, but both these cats are super talented and know Drake and the gang intimately, and have worked with the cast behind the characters before. And they just finished smashing one out of the ballpark with TLOU and the DLC, so I'm not worried.

Yeah. As I said in the conference thread, I love how it's the same thing every time with ND lol.

What's the big difference between in-engine to CGI?
Did you know it took 8 PS3s in order to render UC3's "in engine" cut scenes?

It's practically the same as CGI, bottom line is that the in game visuals wont have anywhere near such fidelity and i feel sorry for people who are setting themselves up for a disappointment.

Check the sand under his hand, especially when he pushed up, the deformation on it is a giveaway.

Yeah, there are other things that give it away as well. It's just the resolution of the secondary texture maps that gave it away for me.

Looks incredible though.

Quite impressive, yeah it won't look that good at 1080p 60fps, but I'm glad to see them aim high. They have the talent to pull it for sure.

1080p 50-60fps for life. It's like a dream that this is finally coming to consoles. Unchated's beautiful animations would benefit SO much from higher frame rates. And frankly, so would the average cover shooting mechanics.

Why do people think someone is going go die?

Maybe an end is just retirement?

I think there was a rumor about characters being killed off and Amy Hennig not wanting to do that so she left ND.

I think it was a twitter thing? I can't remember the exact details or where that came from.

Almost immediately you get that ominous feeling from this trailer.

Last of Us directors essentially means that this will be the best in the series.

Why are people thinking this is CG? This is the super-high res in-game model of Nathan Drake. The cutscene model, whatever it's called. What's the name of that model? In-engine, I guess.
