The Nostalgia Critic |OT| He Remembers It So You Don't Have To

Whoops. Got the two mixed up. I don't think I've ever seen a Lupa review then.

She has done a crossover with the Nostalgia Critic on "Simon Sez" (a Dennis Rodman action movie).

According to the forum at the site, today's NC review is
Jurassic Park III
.

I think JP3 was a more entertaining film than JP2, but still crap. It's kind of like Batman Forever. It's bad, but at least it's not Batman and Robin.

Have we still not changed the name of this thread yet? It just bothers me that I keep seeing "The end of the Nostalgia Critic" pop up from time to time when it has been, what? 2 years since it ended and eventually came back?

I don't follow critics outside of RedLetter and CinemaSnob much these days, so it was only curiosity that got me back in here because I was wondering what the hell there was still to talk about given Nostalgia Critic ended so long ago.

I know it's not exactly the heyday of this style of video anymore, but I'd agree the thread title could do with a change.

I've watched a bit of the new stuff, and it seems very much similar aside from what seems to be a regular cast of extras, which is okay, but has there been any real stand out reviews from anyone in more recent years?

Do you watch SF Debris?

One of the best if you are into Science Fiction imo.

Here's something weird about Jurassic Park 3.
The kid is played by Trevor Morgan, who was also one of the kid characters in Barney's Great Adventure.
Barney appears in Jurassic Park 3.
Full circle!

If you're wondering how i know this, my sister was a massive fan of that movie... played it non-stop...

The twist is that it wasn't entirely Shyamalan's fault.

The ending was hilarious. Shya-Amon turning into Woody Woodpecker.

Strange, his choices are for review.
Normally it's '90s crap that no one wants to remember.

Now it's recent 2013 crap that no one wants to remember.

He mixes it up.
Earlier this month he did Blues Brothers 2000 (which came out in 1998), and back in April he did The Swan Princess (1994).

I believe he said he did this on purpose so as to keep relatively fresh.

And in any case, there are only so many popular pre '00s movies one can rip on before you start to scrape the bottom of the barrel. I'm fine with it in any case.

I just watched the Lorax review, and the screaming was unbearable. I haven't watched NC in years. Has he always been this grating and I just never noticed?

Eh you get used to it.

And behind those screaming are actually good points tbqh. Lorax isn't one of his bad reviews, at least compared to say, Sailor Moon.

lmao
The "hybrid car that is a black drag queen transformer" idea slayed me because it seriously sounds like something Micheal Bay would come up with.
At that point I would just throw up my arms and say "I've had it!...OFFICIALLY!"

Thanks for sharing this video, Black Nerd and Lindsay are among my favorite video producers. I can't believe I didn't see this on my front page.

Also, Doug's "After Earth" review was pretty great!

After Earth Will Smith is not Will Smith at all. It's devoid of anything what makes Smith appealing in a movie.

So, the elephant in the room. They make amends with spoony? They're in good terms now or was just a one standing kind of deal?

I could have sworn during one of the commentaries, Doug stated they were on good grounds. I just wish I could remember which one (wanna say Wicker Man, gonna relisten to it & see since Spoony made a cameo in that).

Edit: Here we go, it was 12 minutes into the commentary. Doug said Noah's not back with the site, but they still get along just fine. In fact, after Noah moved, he e-mailed Doug telling him if he needed him for anything, he was available since he was closer to where Doug lives. The ending of the Wicker Man review came to Doug & he figured it'd be a good idea since Noah didn't cameo in anything for a while & they wanted to get rid of the rumor that they both hated each other after the whole deal in 2012.

Far as i recall, well a few members i'm sure don't want much to do with him, most everyone was friends with him, and at a point realized that he wasn't well. A big part of why he left really was because, he just didn't bring much traffic to the site, most everyone went straight to Spoony's site. He is friends with a lot of the TGWTG's people, and having met him a couple weeks ago, he was really happy and enjoying himself. Suck the drama is still a thing, but i thought the way they handled it was classy in the video.

It was only a certain few people on the site that had a direct problem with Spoony, he remained on good terms with guys like the Critic, Snob, Linkara etc.

Oh. Nice to know that. Glad the heavy weigths of the site are still on good terms, so that mean more crossovers. YAY!!
