It wasn't a guy actually, it was an anniversary gift for someone's boyfriend. They sure should though.
my knowledge of trademark and copyright law isn't superlative or anything but for Hasbro such a case would only exist if the guy tried to sell it using the officially monopoly name or logo. Custom monopoly-style games have been produced for decades, you can even pay a totally unaffiliated company to make one for you on whatever topic you want, and they do not infringe upon any copyrights or trademarks (originally Parker Brothers') by merely replicating the gameplay. I do think the art assets used ostensibly without permission would enable NCsoft to sue successfully though.

Speaking of that Tumblr announcement, I can't believe I actually had to talk someone down with regards to it. Though to their credit, they admitted their mistake and were genial about it.
That was dumb. You could have shut him up faster by using Reddit itself as an example.
I don't get when people group up an entire community/site in a generalised statement, as if they aren't made up of multiple unique individuals.

Kinda hoping they add a new desert-themed outfit to the gemstore next Tuesday. I'm just nerdy enough to feel like walking around an arid wasteland in heavy armor would be a recipe for disaster (or at the very least, major discomfort). Too bad we can't have non-combat outfits comprised of pieces outside our armor class...
Oh well. A cool, loose outfit with a cowl or something would be neat.
Short version:
A sylvari with an anti-authoritarian streak fucked up and came under the influence of a slumbering Elder Dragon, which drove her Harley Quinn Crazy, running all over the place playing matchmaker with all the various "bad" factions so she could use and abuse their respective technology / magic to find and disrupt the natural magical energies that flow through the planet and direct it at the aforementioned Elder Dragon, waking him up.
It turns out the best place to redirect that energy was directly under Lion's Arch, so she brought all of her united factions and their weaponry and invaded the city. One massive drill and a few explosions later and... well... you've seen it.
Oh well. A cool, loose outfit with a cowl or something would be neat.

Oh yeah you mentioned that on Mumble. I have a feeling there's go na be a lot of stuff dropped in the store as Season 2 starts to ride on the hype.

If you're in Exotic or even Rare level 80 gear, you're fine for whatever Season 2 can throw at you. Even if you haven't played in a year, you've really only missed Ascended Gear, which is only a very minor (less than 5%) stat improvement over Exotics.
No gear treadmill FTW.

Still, I would love it if they had some kind of "Desert gear" outfit.
