The problem is that there aren't really enough games to justify a purchase yet especially if a lot of those games can be played on older generation consoles. You also have pay at least $550-$600(maybe even more depending on what you want to buy on the ps4 right now) in Canada which is a huge investment right now especially if you look at the lineup of games for the ps4 I expect a lot more people to buy either of the xb1 or ps4 in about a year or two once more software releases that justifies buying either of the consoles. The hardware numbers are good for sony right now, but I hope there is at least some more games in the future that justify a purchase of a ps4 eventually.

I already know battlefield supports 64 players in multiplayer. What I am saying is that only a few games like battlefield justify why you need to buy either of the next gen consoles if you just don't care about a resolution or framerate bump.
I can guarantee 100% there will be more PS4 games in the future.

As a person who lives in Japan, from my perspective it is absolutely true that PS4 has no games. I can see how it sells in the west, and it is also true that Japan does not matter to overall sales (nor does Sony care about us at all). But it is misleading to say that the only reason people are saying "PS4 has no games" are haters regurgitating tired lines from the PS3 era.
The complete lack of certain types of games from a particular region is of great concern, and just because you are fine with those games missing doesn't mean others are, and it certainly does not make them fanboys.

I believe that "has no games" has always been synonymous with "has no games that I like". I won't disagree that it may be a poor way of communicating, but it was also a poor way of communicating for any system it was ever said about, as every system has had some games.
However, stating that my or some people's tastes aren't represented isn't quite doing the problem justice, an entire region's tastes aren't represented. I already acknowledged that this does not appear to be a problem for Sony financially, but it definitely isn't doing them any good when it comes to mindshare back home, or for those who like Japanese games.
You can try showing Guilty Gear Xrd next! Especially if you are one of those 'gameplay is everything' player.
I don't think sony will put pressure on the developers anyway since I don't want buggy or broken games to be released.

Because it is the same status on Xbone too. Titanfall pretty much looked and played like 360 game. Both MS and Sony needs to step up the game. It has already been a year. They better deliver on 2015. Forget cross-gen, vita ports, ps3/360 ports. Make some truly standout games that needs 8GB RAM, Tflops of GPU ..

I think disconnect between the success of the PS4 and people's assumptions that it doesn't deserve its success because it has no games has to do with people on GAF (and in the gaming media) being obsessed with the notion that first-party titles/exclusives are the definitive system sellers.
Yearly franchise blockbusters are regularly disregarded on this forum as being "same old shit" but it is precisely those games that are selling the new generation systems. 10M people aren't buying the PS4 to play Infamous, Killzone, or whatever indie exclusives Sony can round up. They're buying it for Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Madden, FIFA, and soon Destiny.
I think people are just severely overestimating the power of an exclusive game, especially in relation to Playstation/Sony, which has had the weakest first-party (in terms of sales) for some time now (Edit: Possibly not true). People wanted a next-gen system to play their favorite 3rd-party games with higher image fidelity and simply chose PS4 over XBO for any number of obvious reasons (price difference, dislike for Kinect, DRM fiasco, XBL/TV services being heavily catered to USA/UK, ect.)

People people people, when you say ps4 has no games please say that it has no games that YOU WAN! The reason ps4 is selling is pretty obvious, its the choice for the third party games and ps4 exclusives and indies. It has variety. I personally have bought more games during launch of ps4 then during any other console launch. I have indies, f2p, AAA games. The exclusives that you guys keep talking about come year 2 and 3. Its like you guys never been in a console launch before.
