XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) News, Announcements, Reviews, and Impressions Thread

Kinect Sports 1 at $15 is a bit expensive for its age... I'd like to have it digital, but probably not at that price.

God damnit. I just bought Spec Ops: The Line and State of Decay: Lifeline.

Just as I was starting to make progress with my 360 backlog...

I've actually been playing lots of different XBLA games lately:

Fable Heroes:
An OK game. Tons of wasted potential....the music was nice though. It reminded me of Banjokazooie at times.
I tried to find the music tracks on youtube, but it doesn't seem like it's a particularly popular game. :p

Joe Danger: The Movie
I kind of understand why people didn't like it as much as the first one, but I enjoyed it enough to 400/400 it.
Really frustrating at times, but not so hard that it's impossible.

Battleblock Theater:
Fun game, but it didn't grab me as much as Castle Crashers. I finished the main story and got the first (?) ending.
I doubt I'll go back to it unless they port it to current gen consoles.

Trine 2:
Played through a few levels in co-op with one of my friends. One of the most fun co-op experiences I've had in while. :)
I don't want to finish the game in solo mode now.

Charlie Murder:
I'm currently playing through CM. I really like what I've played so far. :)
Not sure if I like it as much as I liked Castle Crashers, but it's a decent game to play if you have grown tired of CC.

Next up after Charlie Murder: CoJ: Gunslinger or State of Decay.

Looks like Need for Speed: Rivals stuff.

Spec Ops better have as amazing a story as everyone says it does if I'm spending THREE POUNDS on it.

It is terrible fucking game and a terrible shame those devs have convinced people they made the game terrible on purpose to send some half-assed message. Hey, you don't like first person shooters? Play this one to experience what it is like to play 100 of them condensed into one game. You'll love getting tired of killing shit over and over.

The Wolf Among Us season pass is broken. Numerous people are reporting that once purchase the game crashes to black screen. It happened to me. I talked to Xbox support they said they should have a fix out in the next 24-48 hours.

Released today,

Pinball FX 2
--The Walking Dead - 3$ (240msp)

The Walking Dead: Season 2
--Episode 5: No Going Back - 5$ (400msp)

I just realized that Doritos Crash Course 2 was taken off the XBLA market (confirmed on Wikipedia). I had deleted it from my hard drive but had planned to download it again. CC1 is still available but CC2 tweaked the formula just enough to make going back to the original a bit difficult.

Has the Saints Row 3 season pass ever gone on sale? I'm starting that game up via GWG for the first time and am pretty annoyed at the $20 season pass for a free, several years old game.

SR3 isn't that old, at all. Hasn't even been out 3 years. Plus it was only free for two weeks. And that's what they want you to do - get the main game free then buy the DLC

SC2 HD ? Why not. Does it include Spawn and/or Heihachi ?
*edit : apparently Heihachi is there at least.

Ooooh, Tales of Vesperia for $5! I'll finally be checking it out!

Really stoked for Reach, only because I've never played Halo's online multiplayer. Now that I have Gold, I'm finally going to give it a shot to see how I like it, because my Halo MCC preorder is riding on it.

MI was neat in the day, and it looks nice. But man, it'd be so much better with a mouse.
