Lol I can't believe there are already leaks. Then again Nick leaked a shit ton of book 3 footage in that Nick mundo trailer. Kind of strange how both the trailer and later on the leaked episodes came from Nick Mundo. I smell a conspiracy!

They're not very good, but they're not a huge investment of time either. I'd say just wiki it (or ignore them altogether) unless you're a completionist like me.

I was really hoping I wouldn't have to abandon this thread again for fear of spoilers. Although even when people use tags, it just makes it look like the FBI went through most of the thread and it becomes difficult to post regularly anyway.

No worries, the thread's dying so I needed to add something to it :p

Speaking of adding something to the thread, I believe Book 4 is even closer to being finished than we previously thought.

A few episodes are definitely finished by now, probably with only the music left and some extra voice over work and correction. The fact that Nicktoons added Book 4 footage to their Book 3 promo makes me think that most of the episodes are not only done, they must be hanging around the Nickelodeon servers already.

Either that or those "leaks" were intentional. How the hell does Book 4 footage seep into a jumble of Book 3 clips by accident? Unless, again, they're already easily available on Nicktoon's servers.

Or Bryan and Mike's team made a mistake and sent Book 4 footage to whoever did that promo.

I'm wondering now if there's a chance that Book 4 well be released (not aired) before the end of the year. I would have considered this an absurd prospect just a few weeks ago, but after that trailer....

Whole season will leak by next week if Nick keeps this shit up.

They'll "accidentally" release all 13 fucking episodes in the first trailer for Book 4.

So looks like the Book 3 Bluray & DVD is coming out on December 2nd.
That sure is pretty quick compared to how long it took them to release the previous books on Bluray. Making that January Book 4 premiere date seem a lot more valid now and wouldn't even be surprised if nick decided to dump season 4 halfway through December just to make sure the US gets it first.

Nickelodeon and Paramount Home Media Distribution have announced that on December 2nd they will release, on DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc, The Legend of Korra - Book 3: Changes. Each 2-disc set comes with all 13 episodes, plus extras that include Audio Commentaries by Creators and Crew (you'll get 4 on the DVD set, and on Blu-ray they'll be on all 13 episodes), as well as Behind-the-Scenes Featurettes with Animatics (again, 4 on DVD and 13 on Blu-ray).

Just finished season 3. I -love- this franchise. It's good to see that they got their mojo back this time. My only complaint is that we're getting lots of mini-arcs rather than the big arc that spanned the entirety of TLA.

Seeing a master airbender in full flight was an incredible sight.
Tenzin vs Zahir
was my favourite fight of the season. The animation is absolutely top notch.

of course Kuvira had to be the villain. I mean come on her name is some weird amalgam of Korra, Unalaq and Evil! And the swagger in that design? Boss ass bitch.

well it was a bit strange that they emphasised on Kuvira all random like in the finale. It seems to me that quite a bit of time will pass in the next season. There has to be some time to buffer her development as a villain afterall.

Book 4 spoilers:
I still have doubts about Kuvira being a villain. In those shots, 1) she's not dressed like the Red Lotus sentries we saw, she's dressed as a metalbending general or something. 2) Those people behind her are prisoners, since we can see them handcuffed, and don't look all that innocent, which means she's probably rounding up criminals or looters 3) Kuvira means "courageous woman" in Hindu and doesn't seem like a name for a villain.

Of course,
that look screams "villain" or at least much more power than a simply soldier of Zaofu. Could Book 4 take place months, a year or more after Book 3, and that's Kuvira as a general in the new Earth Kingdom order?

Personally I wouldn't mind misdirection, but at the same time I can't help but feel it would be lame to underutilize her considering they've already planted some seeds of her importance. That's not to say she has to be the villain to be important, but given this series' track record...

Perhaps she at first is the heavy-handed authoritarian law enforcement leader needed to reign in the chaos Zaheer brought in the Earth Kingdom, and then evolves from there into the villain.

keep the political villain thing going, except the other way. Instead of equality, darkness or anarchy it could be totalitarian.

Kuvira is part of the Red Lotus, why didn't she help Zaheer and the gang? She had a chance to straight up incapacitate or murder people.

I don't think Kuvira will be the main villain. But her looks scream she's evil. Just look at her eyes and smirk

they touched on this already with tarrlok and unalaq though. not to mention the last airbender already having armies imposing their will on the people

not that it shouldn't be done - there's probably some nice contrast and a good way to find balance in a way that wasn't done in previous attempts. it just runs the risk of becoming too familiar?

that's probably the problem with having four separate stories though.

Edit: Wait what? In the article it says it'll be 1080i and not 1080p. This is surely a mistake?

Is there a rumor about it airing in January or something? Sounds realistic though. BD/DVD sets tend to come out a month or two before the premiere of the next season.

Guys, I had this weird dream where I saw the new episode of Korra after surviving the worst lightning storm I've ever seen.

Ming Hua survived and Tonraq had started a thing with her, which she used to escape. She also had arms again for some reason. Mako was being a douche for some reason and attacked Bolin, who had some of air sword, and really, that should have been the tip off that it was a dream, because how else is he going to do something useful? Korra had mastered storm bending and it was revealed that she was the one who was causing the lightning storm from earlier in my dream somehow and, funny enough, Kuvira was the villain. I don't know if the spoilers reveal something like that, as I haven't been looking, but if true....lol.

Yeah Nick Rep person from Australia said that Book 4 will be airing in Januray for Australia. So its safe to assume that America will be getting it also around the same time or even earlier as per usual for the US.

I'm pretty sure Book 2 was 1080i on the Bluray unlike the first Book

This show has some of the best music ever. I've always been really sad that ATLA never got a proper soundtrack release. Jeremy Zuckerman said he would love to release ATLA's music in his Reddit AMA. However, I guess they recorded all the music on old equipment (not all digital), and he has to transfer it all over, clean it up, and possibly re-record some things. And then even after that, he would need to get support from Nick to release it.

Sounds like he's interested in doing it, not sure if he'll get the support to release it. At the very least, I would hope they release it digitally on iTunes.

Yeah it seems like it's ultimately Nick's decision for the release (fuck), and I remember Jeremy said at one point that the release of the ATLA soundtrack might follow the success of the Korra Season 1 soundtrack. No news on that though.

Ugh, I would Kickstart this so hard if it were possible. Great music inspires my creativity.

It's a tad clearer in the video but the people behind her are all in handcuffs so prisoners of some kind.
But yeah the look she is giving is pretty darn evil looking.

I finally got around to watching Book 3, and while I still have two more episodes to finish, it's absolutely a massive step up compared to Book 2.
