Isn't it straight after the conference?Expect it 2 days prior to new hardware launch at the latest.

Yeah, no thanks. Im not signing up for AT&T Next.
Unless you're wearing skinny jeans, a 5.5" phone should comfortably fit in your pocket.
That and a dev GM sometimes ISN'T the final version. The developer GM version will be released right after. That's supposed to be the final version and anyone can install it but it's technically still not a public release. It should be available to everyone about a week later.

Was reading The Verge summary about tomorrow's event and totally forgot about the iPod line. Last iPod Touch update was in 2012, and the last iPod Classic was in 2009...which was just storage increase. Gone are the days when the iPod line got its own conference, and so much effort was put in to their design. The 5G iPod looked so good at the time, and the old black Apple website page made it look really classy.
It was expanded in lineup, but not updated.Wasn't the iPod Touch updated earlier this year?
Isn't everybody?Oh man I forgot about apple updating their site. I always love browsing through the new page for the phone/whatever else will be released. I'm sure I'll be going through it multiple times until the phone is actually released. I'm too obsessed with these stupid events.
A chance? Maybe. Likely? No. Usually that's WWDC.Any chance of them announcing a new iMac or is that at another conference?
There will be no new Macs. They'll already have their plate full. Macs will be either October or November most likely. Probably November. October will be iPads. But who knows. No one.Any chance of them announcing a new iMac or is that at another conference?
Lolwhat, the "I'm a mac" guy? We're digging deep here.
I need to sell my iPhone 5. Issue is, I use it. So I can't sell until I get the new phone. Wonder how bad the prices will be by then...
Yeah, I think I'll go from my 5 to a 5S this time. Shame. After the gorgeous 5/5s this phone looks pretty lame.

Why not just put a sleek looking case on it, if aesthetics is your concern.Yeah, I think I'll go from my 5 to a 5S this time. Shame.
Look forward to the event all the same. I'm sure it'll be an amazing device but I wish it looked as sleek as the last three versions. A real step backwards.

Our bill went down by $40 a month with AT&T Next. And you can upgrade every 12 months.
To be fair, you have to give up your current phone to upgrade. It's horrible for scenarios where you typically hand down your phone to someone who doesn't need the latest and greatest.
That's not what the person on the phone at AT&T told me... but maybe they don't know anything.
They said I could upgrade my 1yr old 5S to a 6 whatever with no money down, an additional monthly payment depending upon the model, and that I could keep my old 5S, and that I could upgrade in 12 months without handing over my now new then old iPhone 6 whatever just by picking up a new monthly payment (and not continuing the old monthly payment).
Yeah...that's definitely not how it works. You can keep your phone only if you've paid off the full value of the phone.

Indeed. I sold my iPhone 4 for $200 when I bought the iPhone 5 two years ago. Essentially I didn't have to pay any additional money to upgrade. Plan on doing the same this time around.
AT&T Next is a scam.
yeah that's not exactly what it says here

I'm keeping my 5S though even if I upgrade to a 6.
Yeah, totally right, I've considered it and I'm tempted. Having said that, every time I've picked up a case for my previous iPhones I've quickly grown tired of them and always end up going commando. We'll see, I might do that. Why not just put a sleek looking case on it, if aesthetics is your concern.
Kind of hard to misinterpret this as being able to keep your phone after a year...

No one wants a 5 and a half foot phone. And I agree. I'm not sure I'll be getting a 5.5" but would hate for the 4.7" to be gimped.I really hope the specs between the two sizes are the same. The IT nerd in me would hate to buy the 'inferior' model, but on the other hand I really don't want a 5.5' phone.
Yeah that's true. It may have been my mistake, but in any case my 1 year old subsidized 5S is fully mine because we switched to the new plan and AT&T will let me upgrade this year without taking my 5S from me.
