Any way to watch the stream from windows?
Don't really see the harm in U2 being douchy at this event. Granted, they haven't had a decent song in over 15 years, but so what. I am reminded of the time Coldplay's vocalist was at an Apple Music event. That did drag on for a needlessly long time.
They'd need to have something truly ghastly like Nickelback if they want to eclipse the announcements.
The auditorium is crawling with 24-hour security personnel. Anyone working at the massive show, from caterers to construction staff and technicians, is required to submit their phones to Apples security team. The phones cameras are being covered in special tamper-proof tape, which changes color if removal is attempted.
If it changes color, well be fired on the spot, said one person who is working at the show but asked to remain anonymous.
In addition, Apple security personnel are carefully scrutinizing the phones for unauthorized pictures or messages, looking for any attempts to communicate details of the event to the outside.
Meh, not really. There have been reports of draconian security techniques before.
Yea it's impressive.Meh, not really. There have been reports of draconian security techniques before.
That tape thingy sounds cool.
Surely we've seen 80% of what the new phone will look like.Yea it's impressive.
Surely its because they have something big to show though. No way they would do this for a spec bump and bigger screen that has already leaked.
Hopefully leaks are fake. In a dream world maybe.
Don't iPads have their own conference?Surely we've seen 80% of what the new phone will look like.
But they definitely wish to prevent iWatch from leaking, even 5m before the actual announcement. I am also hoping we get cool new iPads.
Plus I also hope that iOS 8 is more than just a stability upgrade with a few new integrated apps.
Most likely not. Apple has traditionally had a live stream on their own page with impeccable quality. You need either a Mac or a Safari browser to watch it though. So is there a youtube link to the stream?
Good question. There have been separate iPad conferences, but I cannot really see why Apple wouldn't lump all in at this event.Don't iPads have their own conference?

Man,this is so stupid. Most likely not. Apple has traditionally had a live stream on their own page with impeccable quality. You need either a Mac or a Safari browser to watch it though.

Every time, people complain about Apple's decision to keep this thing semi-exclusive.Man,this is so stupid.
Every time, people complain about Apple's decision to keep this thing semi-exclusive.
And every year, some people install Safari just to watch this thing.
*smiles*
But that doesn't help:Every time, people complain about Apple's decision to keep this thing semi-exclusive.

You'll miss the stream if you install it in 2015.Are you implying we should be installing Windows Safari in 2014???

Also, the only thing worse than Safari on Windows is iTunes.
Yes, but there's nothing you actually need Safari for (because Apple streams don't work), in contrast to iTunes.I dunno. There are viruses and stuff.
That's why I have a hackintosh.Every time, people complain about Apple's decision to keep this thing semi-exclusive.

This is probably the most hype for an iPhone (etc) event in some years, do we all agree?
Lol I literally just installed Safari on Windows just to watch the conference, and found out I still won't be able to stream it... Way to play me like a fool, Apple.
Oh well, time to uninstall that garbage browser.
Guess I'll just watch the conference on my tiny 4S screen. :/
Not sure, we think that every year.
I'm new to iOS, is it likely that the iOS 8 update for previous iPhone/ipad will be out today or will we have to wait until the release date of the iPhone 6?
People usually stream it via sites like UStream. Just wait for a link.Lol I literally just installed Safari on Windows just to watch the conference, and found out I still won't be able to stream it... Way to play me like a fool, Apple.

I know there was anger directed toward the 5S. First of all, people did not really like the finger print thingy. I did not either. And there was this uneasy feeling that 5S was the proper iPhone that model 5 should have been. The hype for the 5S was pretty tepid in comparison.
GM release today. Public release in a week are best estimates.
ah ok. I take it the GM is only for developers and anyone can't just download and install it?
Rumour is better cameras, laminated screen, thinner body, Touch ID and 2 gigs of ram. Should be a fantastic update. I've been waiting for a laminated screen on iPads since iPad 1.

Yeah, no. Even a phone I'm somewhat interested in is not worth installing goddamn Safari. User agent hacks work?
At least the Apple wearables leaked

This so much.I would jump on an ipad air 2 for laminated screen OR more ram/no safari tab refreshing bollocks. Both together would be fantastic.
I dunno. There are viruses and stuff.
