Did Queen's missions four times, got helm all four times while I have exotic helm from Xur and my chest and arm are still blue. Fuck this shit, I'm buying chest piece from crucible handler.
Wow, how did I not realize this. I figured it you handed in a 5,000 XP bounty it'd be 5,000 each for your sub-glass, weapons and armor, haha. Doesn't make any sense now that I think about it.

You'll get the chest eventually!
Buy the arm and keep trying the Queen's. Very high chance the chest will drop.
Give it a few more tries at least, if you want to you can even orbit and reroll the mission until you get the first one on Earth.
there can only be one loot cave, you are wasting your time here imo , its only good for bounties

I actually just receives a Legendary from my Cryptarch package! First one since the patch.
Only a class item, and turned into Ascendant Shards, but still; at least it's still possible.
Vanguard package gave me a Legendary Auto-Rifle too. Won't be my first choice, but will be back-up for when I need to swap Exotics around.

I just don't understand why this game hates me so much. Third time I've gotten the exotic bounties, and third time they're for the same exact weapons. I just want either the fusion rifle or scout rifle, but nope, always the handgun, shotgun, or pulse rifle.
Not to mention how many times I've done the queen's missions in hopes of getting that sniper. I really don't think I've ever had such a love/hate relationship with a game before.

I was under the impression that dismantling legendary class armour won't give you ascendant shards. Wrong?

Awww mans someone in my fireteam got a random legendary engram drop from a mob and I didnt goddammit :/
Also, farming for mats fucking sucks. Especially when theres no profit in doing so via an auction house system. At least in wow I could build a gold empire and buy some cool shit to make it less painful.

You ever sit and ponder at the chaos and death we bring? I mean I came to Mars to kill the Cabal. They did not come to Earth. Why do I even want to come to Mars? Like Sir Elton John said so eloquently years ago: "Mars aint the kind of place to raise your kids. In fact it is cold as hell." I mean sure I need to rank up my new Invective shotgun and grab some Relic Iron but at what cost! Did these turtles have wives and kids that were expecting them home at 6? Since the patch:
2 blues have turned into Legendary weapons (the ratio felt exactly how Legendaries were before).
I've had three Legendary engrams drop. two in pve and one in pvp.
One was a class item - Hunter cloak
One was a special weapon - shotgun
The other was a heavy weapon - shards
Feels good to me, much better than it used to be even if the actual item acquisition rates seem the same.
The chance for the sniper is worth it too. My arc supremacy is my favourite sniper in the game so far (6 shots in the damn mag with the upgrade, so good).

I got 2 legendary guns, 2 legendary armor pieces and an exotic helmet from Cryptach package purples this weekend. I think I leveled him up about 5 times and only once did I not get at least on purple engram.
If you have bought all legendary gear by now you should be 28. You should be able to afford it.Leveled Rahool 6 times since patch and he gives me all blues
All I get are ascendent energies.
Been a tough week outside if helping people breeze through the weeklys and doing first half of raid. Looking forward to Tuesday. If I can't level up to 28 this week after being stuck at 27 for two weeks, I'm done with this

stuck on Atheon on hard. We are at a dps cap. Clearly. Group isn't synch enough. Need more dps. Snipers probably. Rocket to unreliable as boss moves around. sucks.
Do you do the daily mission and gold tier a public event once a day? If you have time to do that (will only take aroudn 20-25 minutes) it's your most likely shot.

Bungie fixed the loot system, instead of getting nothing but blues from legendaries and blues you now just get a sea of blues. Enjoy your fixed loot system
Rahool packages gave me 4 or 5 legendaries and an exotic this weekend. Huge improvement from the previous system.
Do you do the daily every day? Have you raided this week? Did you do a daily event? Do you have a surplus of marks?
If yes to all these then try leveling an alt and completing some dailies as well to increase your odds.
Is everyone 29? You're running into enrage?
IS this one of the kill and colelct bounties?
If so do the very first moon mission on any heroic difficulty. When you get to "we've awoken the hive" kill everythig but the hive knight then die and repeat it until you're done. Then leave to orbit without progressing to the next checkpoint to save that position for the next time you need it.
Good for the Fusion rifle bounty (2 kills 20 times)
Hive major kills.
Glimmer farming with Black Idols.
Any bounty that requires kills on the moon.
The raid spits them out too. It it's not spitting out shards it's spitting out raid gear or exotics.

I got 30+ (maybe more, who knows?) blues this weekend, 1 legendary I can use and 1 legendary chest for a class I'm not playing. Great fix Bungie.
edit: Sorry, you're talking about reward packages, my bad. Engram reward rate still sucks for me.

What can my level 24 group play to get legendary arms and legs?
Yea, levelling up is armour centric only. The reality is, for the Raid, weapon damage is just as important. Get more of your group to max their weapons out, especially a couple of Nova snipers for the hob goblins, and Void weapons for the Praetorians.
Forgot to mention that one. I get to do the dalies three times if I feel like it.
I have two alts. A Hunter at 26 (because rng gave me 2 Hunter exotics and a legendary), and another Titan so I can switch my gear between two and complete the high end content twice a week.
The only guaranteed way is to level a faction.
The Queen's Gear is limited so you can't just boost to 28 too easily, but it helps get you over the initial hump so you can get into some of the higher level content.
