Is it just me or does Bungie not know how to properly set up character progression?

This coming from years of playing mmorpgs, I've gotten used to the "carrot on a stick" of obtaining gear that power creeps over the previous gear/equipment releases

I'm playing for rank 3, for a shader/emblem... great

This is a missed opportunity from Bungie (unless they're holding out on us and better stuff at rank 4, 5, 6, etc)

At least implement wolf marks so it will cap out 100 just like vanguard/crucible does, and with iron banner being a monthly event... npc selling raid tier light gear from iron banner would be longer to collect compared to VoG raid counter parts (selling at 120 for helms, 65 other slots as per the norm)

Tried iron banner, my thorn was only doing about 8 dmg less, the poison damage was still 7 dmg a tick, everyone was shooting a suros regime.

Somewhere two titans are writing forum posts about how overpowered bladedancer is because of me right now, and I am sorry about that. Team was just feeding me orbs and every time either of them put a shield up I had my super ready. Of all the situations that I love using arc blade for, a titan shield filled with their team on a capture point is the best. No one can shoot me as I approach unless they come forward towards me, if they move back they still can't shoot me though the shield.

Anyway, was hoping for longer ttk with iron banner but shit dies even faster. Even though I did pretty well I don't really like it. If you get on a roll, the other team will start leaving, and if your team is losing they will start leaving. Almost every game I played of it the score was majorly lopsided.

I had never seen it before, was excited to have something unique, joined a tiger strike right after equipping it and the other 2 people had the exact same thing lol.

There was no lag going on whatsoever. Apparently, someone was using the Mythocast on the other team. I made that guy my bitch throughout most of the match. He never killed me. His teammates did but he never did.

The level and item difference in IB is marginal at best, not asking for someone unkillable to be walking around but a few % difference is nothing.

And there's one other thing I want Bungie lurkers to read- when you built this game, and dreamed that dream of the way we were all meant to play, was running round in circles on the moon for hours on end looking for enough planetary mats to upgrade your weapons and armour, rather than playing in the Iron Banner event, the way you dreamt for us to spend our time? Mats need sorting, this shit is stupid.

Farming mats is pretty much my full time job since the Exotic / Legendary dam broke for me this weekend

your also right that 99% of the daily/weekly stuff isn't going to matter much to raiders. This is pretty much the case in every MMO. They need to work on some secondary reward system if they want to give a reason for decked out characters to do the normal story stuff, else it is pretty much just PvP and raiding from now on.

I think that, soon I will reach that point where I will be needing a complete raid to get some items for me to be able to go to level 30. I'm still at 27 but I have all the items ready to max one exotic piece of armour (helmet). The rest is legendary (that horrible queen's vest, ugh) but I also have most of the items for them. How many armour pieces from the raid we need to achieve level 30? One or two?

I was holding on my items and then spend them all the way to level up for a "aah, feels good!" but it's going to take a lot of time. I only did a Raid, once, to help some friends that were in need of assistance. And not only it was in the end boss part only, but also, I died and I got no loot from the Boss! You find Chests in the Raid, yes? Can they have those armour pieces or is that only from the Final Boss?

You need 3 pieces and an exotic to reach 30.

Hearing about the armor, I'm not sure if I really want to do Iron Banner. I was already getting frustrated with Crucible yesterday (I had a game where roughly 80% of my deaths came from a super or a rocket). I fear IB will just send me over the edge lol.
