So what's stopping Sony from lending Spider-Man for Avengers as long as Marvel doesn't do a standalone Spider-Man movie?
Edit: Nvm ^ they got it covered

Nah. Everyone will be knocked out but Cap and he will ask Odin to help him.
Can you imagine the audience reaction if Cap pops Thanos when the entire team goes down
Doesn't Spider-Man typically keep out of the cosmic stuff like that?Fuck Marvel and Sony. I'm never getting my Spider-man picking up the Shield and Hammer moment.
Don't deny that would be the most awesome moment in comicbook movie history.

Spider-Man can put down Iron Man, Hawkeye, & Black Widow in his sleep.Spiderman is looking more and more like a scrub with each MCU movie.
Actually......at this point not for me at all. During Phase 1 the possibility of Spidey, X Men, Fantastic Four, etc being in Marvels films made me so pumped. Now days their disconnect from the MCU has made me lose major interest. To the point I'm more excited to see what's going on with freaking Hawkeye and Black Widow than Wolverine and Spidey. Crazy I know but I feel Marvel has just outgrown those other franchises.

All I want is for Spidey to have his moment in the MCU and that would be.. oh the badassery. It's all I want.Fuck Marvel and Sony. I'm never getting my Spider-man picking up the Shield and Hammer moment.

I can see it now.
Thanos is standing over Iron Man's limp body. He laughes. Cap is slowly crawling over to Mjolnir. Thanos monologues about his victory. Cap reaches out to grab Mjol-- Thanos grabs his head and yanks him up. Thanos turns, holding Cap above him, still in monologue, making a statment about how easily he's defeated The Avengers. He's interrupted by the sound of metal sliding on asphalt. A voice is heard, "Not all The Avengers." Thanos drops Cap and turns towards the voice as the Son of Coul -now wielding Mjolnir- smashes Thanos in the face in an uppercut motion with the Asgardian weapon.
The Son of Coul stands triumphant.
lol
I couldn't give a tupenny fuck for the X-Men/Fantastic Four, but I'll spontaneously combust in excitement the day when Spidey swings into the MCU. Phase 6... believe.
He tries to, but when you are the Amazing One, sometimes the Universe calls you
i thought i read a rumor that Sony might relent and work with Marvel to get Spidey into the MCU. hope it's true
Feige said in regards to Spidey that it's either not happening, or that there's nothing to announce yet

aw yiss, next SDCC announcement. BELIEVE
How will spiderman be introduced in mcu? As an adult spidey or teen spidey with another origin story?
Honestly, I really like ultimate spiderman with teen peter parker idolizing the avengers. Could be cool to get teen superhero too in mcu that is not kid nova
He was answering a question that asked him about current rumors in general - including the Russos possibly directing Infinity War.
This quote is always taken out of context, he was referring to both Spider-Man AND the director of Avengers 3. Not happening is probably in regards to Spider-Man and nothing to announce yet is about Avengers 3 as it is to early for Joss to decide whether he will direct and if the Russos will take over.Feige said in regards to Spidey that it's either not happening, or that there's nothing to announce yet

This will be an alternate ending on the blu-ray release. At the end of the scene it'll zoom out to show that it's Doctor Strange showing random alternate dimension realities to the Avengers while getting drunk.

Q: Hey Kevin. Thanks for doing this today. Quick 2 part question: Can you confirm any of the reports that the Russo Brothers might direct that two part Avengers movie and address the spate of rumors about Marvel and Sony possibly working out some sort of appearance deal for Spiderman?
Feige: No, I mean anything that wasn't specifically and obviously revealed today is either not true at all or still rumor until it's worked out.
I can see Avengers 3 being split between Joss and the Bros.
The problem is giving her a mission/story that both warrants the size and scope of a movie but keeping it within continuity. At this point, it seems like all the movies going forward are working on an in-universe timeline. So what could Widow do in a movie that's a large enough threat to make a decent movie but at the same time doesn't gain the attention of the other Avengers? She's not powerful or unique enough to get a story similar to IM3 or Thor 2. They can't do a pre-Avengers story in it's own movie without confusing the continuity of the MCU at large for casual viewers. Just about the only thing I can think of would be some sort of espionage story having to do with the former Soviet Union.. but what kind of antagonist could they use that would require her specific set of skills alone?
I think this is pretty much why they didn't end up doing a Hawkeye stand alone and instead we'll probably see some flashback stuff in AoU that will show what he was up to during the events of TWS.
INo, I did not. There's no reason for me to be throwing around "in my opinion" over and over when that should have been apparent from the moment I posted on a discussion board. As far as my second post, Feige and I share the same opinion that a Black Widow solo movie would not be as interesting as her in an Avengers-type movie, which is why it's not getting made.
I can see Avengers 3 being split between Joss and the Bros.
If Whedon doesn't want to continue on, I think another possibility is Part 1 by the Russos as a continuation on the aftermath to Civil War, it would be Earth-based, more grounded, and everyone gets destroyed at the end of it as Thanos gets the final gem and attaches it to the gauntlet. Then Part 2 will be a huge cosmic adventure to stop Thanos, directed by James Gunn.
Joss for the dialogue/story, Bros for the action. let's do it.

I like this idea.
Does this mean that Stark, Cap, et al go to space with the Guardians after Thanos?
I wonder what that'll be like. The Avengers. In space.

I think it'll be interesting to see who writes Infinity War too. If Whedon doesn't director, will he stay on as story consultant? Will Gunn take up the mantel instead? In-house writers?
I have a feeling that even if Whedon doesn't write/direct any more movies after AoU, he'll stay on as a consultant at least. Clearly Marvel is happy with his input on the MCU
Part 1 has to be more about Thanos.
Part one will probably be about Hulk and Thor in space meeting GotG and part 2 is when Thanos lands on earth.
