As far as I know, you don't in this game.Anyone have any tips on the kind of mindset you have (or guidelines) when distributing attribute points?
I'd honestly rather have had city elf than dalish (or at least had City elf be the warrior/rogue option, while the keeper's assistant could be a mage), but working Orlais' city elves into the chantry at the beginning of the game would be...interesting, given the results from the last book.
One of the reviews did mention that there was never really an option to 'be' Dalish, as opposed to surrendering your personality to the Inquisition.
While I'm sure it happens for all of the races to some extent (given that the Qunari choices don't follow the Qun, and the dwarves are part of the Carta, IIRC), that would really hamper the elf perspective.
Still gonna be fun to demand people call me the new herald as a female qunari mage on 2nd playthrough, tho.

After having read a few reviews, this element stands out as my biggest negative, unfortunately. It doesn't sound like we'll be roleplaying this character so much as steering their decisions. It's really not the same. Roleplaying a specific character from a specific perspective was a big part of what made Origins so replayable - my dwarf noble and elven mage saw the world in two very different lights. I really hope there's still a little room for that sort of roleplaying in Inquisition, but unfortunately it sounds like every race is basically just human.I'd honestly rather have had city elf than dalish (or at least had City elf be the warrior/rogue option, while the keeper's assistant could be a mage), but working Orlais' city elves into the chantry at the beginning of the game would be...interesting, given the results from the last book.

Oh wow. How could i've missed that, thanksShould've googled it but when i saw that attribute screenshot i really thought we could put points. Thanks!
Seems like some of the talent/skills increase attributes tooAttribute points increase automatically when you level up but you can increase them manually by equipping gear with attribute bonuses. You can also add modifications to your armour via crafting to add even more.
Think I'm gonna begin as a Warrior for the first time. Cliched .. yes .. but still.
My DA1 main was rogue, Hawke was mage .. so its time for a Warrior naturally.
Am I the only who get annoyed because spellcaster attack animation look too fancy ?
The only part I don't like it's the turn, the first two attacks and the flying stuff looks cool.

Mine was a not-so-sassy commoner femrogue, don't know what Alistair saw in her.Ugh rogue or mage, I can't decide. I love the idea of a sassy female dwarven dual-wielding rogue and my favourite Wardens were all rogues. On the other hand, playing mage was unexpectedly fun in DA2 and it looks great in DAI.
Should I be worried about the issues (crashes) regarding the PS4 version, or can I assume that the latest firmware update and the day 1 patch solves all of this? Was thinking about pre-ordering this, but this is basically the only thing holding me back.
The firmware fixed the issue, its assumed the .02 version of the firmware was released specifically because of some game related issues.
Some outlets have put notes at the end of their reviews stating the stability improvements after patching.
I'm a Dragon Age noob but this looks very interesting.
Just a quick question: what does this game play like? Is it 3rd person action RPG like Skyrim / Souls ? Or is it turn based party RPG ? Or something else ?

Explanation .
Polygon article about the character writing in Inquisition (apologies if already posted). Aargh, it's this sort of stuff that makes me even more hyped for next week, if that's even possible at this point.
