I'm new to PC gaming.

If I game i want is 30-40% off, is there any reason to not wait and see if it becomes a daily deal?

Nope. You already figured it out.

Wait for the dailys. If by the last day it never went on sale, you're free to buy it... or wait until the next sale when it will probably be cheaper.

No. Unless you absolutely need it right this instant, there's no reason to purchase it now. Wait till the last day of the sale, and then if it's not been a daily, get it then.

this is my most hated sale. So close to the Christmas sale i never know if i should pull the trigger or not

TEW seems like a good deal for being so close to launch

punch me in the face, I have $30 of credit in steam and you throw this at me.

Hello, The Long Dark. You get your own achievement from me depending how long you survive my back log.

I'm not an expert at Steam sales --

So with Watch Dogs already being a Daily Deal right now, but for 50% off... does the OP mean I should still wait until it's 75+% off?

Gonna wait for The Long Dark to get out of Early Access before buying. Looks great, though.

I might buy it now since they said it "will almost certainly increase when we exit Early Access and launch the full game."

seems they're really close to finishing the game. They weren't initially planning on staying in EA for too long.

Not sure I see the complaints about the layout. There's games on sale for 2 days in the top box and then 1 day in the box below. Very easy within the client, not sure what it's looking like elsewhere.

How do I even find the Daily Deal(s) now? Is there any voting now? Flash sales?

Fuck this shitty layout. Arg.

There is no voting and there are no flash deals. The dailies (well, one is a 24 hour deal and the other is 48 hours) are the two large panel of games above the top selling list.

Probably going to grab Stanley Parable and maybe Broken Age if it gets a daily down the line.

Sucks that I have to renew my PS+ subscription this month. Really makes me want to postpone spending until the Winter Sale.

How is Lords of the Fallen on PC? Contemplating getting that, although it seems like a game that will be super cheap in a couple months.

Contemplating that and The Evil Within hmmm

Well that's no fun. Thanks for the clarification. You did a better job explaining than the layout did.

May as well then, or keep it light here. Likely to be repeated games in the winter, possibly with deeper discounts.

They're usually summer and winter. The layout explained itself by not having those things.
