Yeah, it's not so much you not facing the correct direction when the cast is almost finished, it's when they make a last-ditch change just as the cast finishes and it's interrupted. You can only plan so much.

Most of the time this happens when adds spawn. You target them and they start running somewhere and you have to recast like 3 times or something to finally be able to fire your spell off.

Oh man, monetizing the wedding system, including the mount. At this point I am expecting Gold Saucer to run on a freemium system. Buy 1000 tokens for just 9.99! And for another 4.99 you can get a common booster pack for Triple Triad!

The skill/spell speed answer made me laugh, they essentially admitted it's an intentionally bad stat for now just to give illusion of choice. Hilarious. What an awful way to itemize things.

Also RIP Bard healer limit break. You will be missed.

Dragoon dmg wasn't really the main issue in the first place though, it's that they literally cannot survive multiple mechanics in final coil without a blm helping them out because their magic defense is terrible. Their dmg was honestly fine if you count what they do for bards(and you are going to have a bard), it's just that their extra health doesn't make up for their magic defense and without being geared out the ass, they will blow up.

Isn't it just t13 that it can't survive compared to other classes? There's nothing else I can think of that isn't avoidable or doesn't require same level of preparation as some of the other squishies. The damage was definitely another major issue, a MNK + BRD was still better dps than a DRG + BRD, even with the piercing debuff. There was just no good reason to bring a DRG for most groups, and that's not a good situation to be in.

The buffs mentioned sound insane though; MNK style positionals, reduced cooldowns, and increasing DoT damage? That's going a lot farther than I was expecting. They have been fairly good about balancing on the whole, I hope they don't go overboard with these buffs or on the flip side the nerfs to NIN.

Magic Defense Increased.

DPS output increased.

Blood for blood cd improved.

Improved utility would've been icing on the cake, but also would've been one of the more difficult buffs to implement in such a short time period. (I'm assuming they didn't start working on this until their forums were blasted a few weeks ago.)

I didn't really get the answer for that skill/spell speed question either. Having the illusion of choice is arguably worse because now there's an obviously bad stat that serves no purpose other than to trip up beginners.

You can have EB for free. Only extras are paid, such as the mount or the cake for FC house.

My roommate was in the same situation and IIRC you'll lose the remaining days of your trial once you register the game and get your free regular month.

For the discussion about face target to help with moving enemies during casts, I recommend practising this in front lines against melee that run circles around you. They move a lot more than a typical mob.

I'd be pretty shocked, if they required you to buy the expansion for multiple platforms. For starters, I think it'd be pretty difficult for their systems to really track which platforms each user was authorized to view expansion content on. I mean, doable sure, but possibly more effort than it's worth.

Imagine trying to track and gray out quests based on what platform you're logging into the game on. Or booting you from instances because you logged off from the instance in one platform, and back into it on another.

Yeah, it's doable, but I'd imagine constantly checking to see if your authorized to view content on your current platform would be a pain in the neck to implement, and would probably cause additional server lag.

Easier to just do a one time check for update authorization, by account.

We will be making other adjustments to the dragoon’s action including the reduction of recast timers on certain skills, decreasing the increased damage taken during blood for blood, and increasing the DoT damage on certain actions

I wonder if this will be traited with Enhanced B4B or just a change to the base skill. Could be useful for multiple classes if it's not traited.

There's no bad class for newbies as long as you read help messages and tooltips and pay attention. The game handholds so much it's crazy.
