Don't focus on the arm, just take whatever hits you can get. If you have any molotovs, use them.

Also make sure you're using the whip form of the cane and dont lock on unless you want to shoot it in the face.

You ring it an if someone has the corresponding bell they'll answer.

Anyone else beat the first werewolf bare fisted? I thought at first you wouldn't be able to, it took me a couple min to kill him and I was able to make it to the first lantern without dying.

Loving the fast dodging and rolling. No more fat roll!

Don't bother using your gun on cleric beast. Just take like 5 minutes or so to watch his moveset. There are only a few attacks that are worth taking advantage of. Bring molotovs also. I tihnk the first one you use on him will stagger and you can get a finishing move on his face. The fight can take a while, but it's easy to avoid his attacks. Did it on my second try with only 1 blood vial, but it was long.
 
Really not liking the new coop system. I have wasted insight to ring the bell and nobody ever joins. I prefer the Souls way of putting down signs so I can actually see if anybody is nearby,
 
Another shitty padded envelope from Amazon checking in here, going straight back. Really getting tired of their garbage packaging.
 
Having done two layers of one Chalice Dungeon, I think they're fantastic so far. It's a different kind of gameplay, like a dungeon crawler. I love it!

3 ½ hour till launch, so I'll be at around 19 out of 30GB when it's time for me to play. Will this be an issue?

It's different for every game so I'm not sure at what point it'll yell at you to install more....all I can say is there's been very few games where my progress was halted due to installation progress.

Where did $9.55 come from, just some random number? I edited my last post too late, but for me they just extended Prime by a month, which is pretty insignificant.

I swear to god, there's always an issue with me and release games. If this ends up becoming the issue, I'll fucking rip my own heart out. I want to have 8 hours of efficient game-time before I head to college... none of this "hold on while it's downloading, silly hunter"-bullshit.

Actually, all of this is because Sony was too fucking lazy unlocking the game for EU. US got to unlock it like what, 4 days before launch? Who is in charge of EU? Apes?
 
I missed the first boss and went way further than I was supposed to without leveling / laterns. When I figured out where it was and traveled back to get it I was woefully unprepared.

Loving it so far. The shortcuts especially.

For the Blood-starved Beast, stay locked-on and in front of it. It will always do a single or dual slash, both which are easy to quick step backwards from. At the end of each slash, hit it once or twice with an extended weapon. I used Saw Cleaver and it was trivially easy this way.

I kept that in mind.
I'm using threaded cane +3. If I manage to hit him/her/it, there's always a follow-up slash I can't seem to dodge. So I just burn through Vials, and when the poison comes I am fubared. Even if I'm in front of it like the first phase, it starts doing multihit combos all the time
 
Haven't really been paying much attention to the upgrade/downgrade talk but the first glaringly obvious thing I noticed on Twitch is that there doesn't seem to be any ground shadows. Kind of disappointing.

You got the GAF code enabled? I can lend you a hand, completely after that fight and got nothing better to do.

I managed to cancel her heal with a fully charged heavy attack, but not consistently.

My connection is nowhere near 1000mb per hour. It's just that Sony's servers seems to be absolute shit right now.
 
The hunter operating the machine gun fell from the tower during our fight(I totally didn't push him over on purpose >__> ), and now his item is bugged, I can see it, but it's stuck in mid air high above the ground, way outside my reach.
What is it, is it any good?

As someone who is level 63...im wanting to have some fun helping people out.

I purchased the small bell required to help people but now what?

1) I went into yharnham in rang it ( central yharnham ) and nothing happened. It was searching but it never connected.

2) do I loose insight when I offer help?\

3) is the bell I purchased a one time thing? or do I need to purchase another one every time I offer help?

4) does it help ANYONE or strictly someone close to my level?

5) what do I gain from doing it?

6) do I simply warp in the other players game then warp back to mine? everything untouched on my side of things?

The frame rate is not very good... Basically, it feels just as janky as the past games without the serious slowdowns but doesn't really bother me (almost like at this point it's part of these games).
