Well these first appeared as just illustration which people first thought were Nendoroid teases (well it was by one of the Nendoroid artists).

Then it turned out that they were just releasing some bookmarks with the art on. That's why I call it a tease.

Not really a fan of the petites, something is kind of off about them, the eyes especially. Really annoying that they just reused the old sculpt when they released those recolours recently.

I have the one Haruka petite worth having though:

Is Mandarake and Kirin Hobby safe to purchase items from? Im more concerned about Kirin Hobby since I've never heard of them but it was recommended/suggested in the previous "Figure" OT. Thanks!

Have used Mandarake a couple of times, one of which was for the most expensive item I've purchased when it comes to figures - and they've been great for me each time.

They just cancelled the order - I had to raise a ticket as it looks like you can't do it yourself.. are they an Ami offshoot? lol - so I could reorder with the code for the lower price. Done!

Wow, TRSI wants $150 for each and no option to buy together? I think I'll try my luck elsewhere if the price is going to be that high. I mean, it would be more reasonable if the yen was 100/usd but it's not.

I haven't shopped at Otaku Mode before but this price is pretty fantastic!

For US buyers, Otaku Mode seems like the pretty clear winner if you can afford to pay up front. If not, N-Y might be the next best thing for a combination of price and convenience. Using Tenso to forward directly from Aniplex will probably save a few bucks if you want to deal with an Japanese-only storefront and the forwarding hassle.

I hope Nintendo doesn't cut back on licensing proper figures now that they're doing Amiibo. I'll probably only be buying the Yoshi plush, if it doesn't look terrible IRL, and I refuse to call it an amiibo.

You could use a US proxy though, right? May not end up saving you much money, I guess. I'd suspect you'd pay about $15 per figure to get them proxy shipped across the border.

Did some research and I would still end up paying around $300 for both Sayaka and Kyoko. So might as well just stick with rightstuf. I'm not sure if they're making me pay the customs fee ahead of time like Mami though. :/

Did more research: They charge the customs ahead of time and include it with the shipping cost
