Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

I've played the underpass map an insanely disproportionate amount of times relative to the mall. Not happy about that. The way they handle level selection is garbage. Can't wait for them to bump it to 3. Hopefully they switch every hour or two instead of 4.

Just hit level 10. I'd like to ask how many do we need to unlock Splat zones but I doubt Nintendo gave a specific number and I'm seeing a lot of level 5, 6, and 7.

Based on the woefully inaccurate images they are posting on twitter, we're about halfway there. Should be another few days.

Also : paint and stop pvp! XD

PVP is critical to strategy though.

Scorerd 1200, but no bonus because two players on my team scored 200 and 0. August update can't come soon enough.

Played for a few hours last night, really fun game.

Best win was 67% vs 15.2% or something like that, totally destruction.

Was playing with a bunch of Japanese players that had level 20 characters... man almost impossible to kill them.

Each piece of gear they had has like 3 ability slots, plus they have the giant squid special attack.

I hope we get more maps though with a bigger cycle.

8.5 / 10

Great job Nintendo!

People need to learn their roles.

When I'm using a charger it's not my job to ink up the base, rollers! (and shooter, to some degree)

I usually get 1000 with starter gun, and that was not knowing that walls don't count. I wonder how much your team was painting walls.

Well as long as I know the Aerospray is not OP, i'm fine lol. I guess it just means that my team ain't pulling their weight!

7 of my last 10 games were the Mall...

Yes for presure but when your team forgot to paint in their own base... >.>'

I have a formula:

First Life: Run as far as I can, spraying enough to get the Inkzooka and firing it at the mid-point.
Second Life: Get the bits around the base my team didn't get.

Are the chargers with scopes in the base game? Haven't seen anyone use one yet.
It unlocks at like 13 and its variant at like 17 or something like that.

According to the Prima guide I have we'll eventually get an E-Liter 3K with a scope, though, which should be cool.

I hope some of the multiplayers levels that'll be added will be based on the kelp dome from the singleplayer. Is a pretty cool area.

Man Ive been focusing on painting but still only got a Max of 900p, mostly just 500-600. Guess the other team is painting over what I painted right after?

This game needs to have better tutorials. There are still players who don't know how to properly play this game and I hate having them on my team.

I like to use a long range shooter type weapon and build my special as I ink my way to the middle of the stage, then take out the enemy and start inking their territory while my teammates ink our side.

Just had my first 1400 point game. Also just had my first connection error which was somewhat disappointing.

Mall does not agree with my Splattershot Jr. strategy. Underpass however is quite agreeable.

Oh man, the reduced ink amiibo challenges are really kicking my butt. Anyone got any good advice for them? I can't do the floating sponge garden whatsoever.

Loving the game so far, but Multiplayer is suffering the same issue I had with Evolve - not enough content. It's great that we'll be getting free updates, but I can only really judge the game based on what I paid up front for yesterday.

Core gameplay is there, and the single player is good fun - just needs more than one MP mode and 2 maps a day to keep me interested. I hope Nintendo never dares to release a game in this way again.

Couldn't find this in the OP. Is there split screen multiplayer online, or is local multiplayer restricted to the offline 2 player mode?

Slight correction, 2 maps every 4 hours, which granted may or may not align with when you have time to play.

It also seems common to completely ignore the gamepad map and continue struggling on the frontier rather than take care of that roller who snuck back into your territory. >__>

How many of my teammates are children? Garden Warfare all over again lol

I know what you mean, like this guy:

...oh...

Hey, I was still putting in work regardless and not going for suicide tactics like charging head on by yourself with a roller on the enemy spawn.

Painting walls should count though. The game didn't say anything about that.

My bad. Still, I knew what I was getting into when I bought it, but I thought, based on the demo, that it'd be enough to keep me interested. But just like Evolve, regardless of how good the actual mechanics are, I need content as well, and Splatoon is bare bones right now.

Enjoying it in short bursts, mind.
