I've played about 5 hours this weekend with my gf. We both love the online so far. We keep switching off between rounds. I wish you could make a second character, unless I am missing it. I feel bad that she couldn't make her own character.

Create a new Mii user with a NNID.

We did the opposite thing (created a party play account for Splatoon, where we can pass the Gamepad between rounds), in addition to our own accounts.

You guys weren't joking about the Aerospray. I went on an 8-win streak after unlocking it, and it only ended because one person on my team went afk. They really should kick people for doing that. He had no points at the end of the match.

Got a bunch of friend requests from the spreadsheet -- can't wait to see some gaffers in action!

If you see someone with zero points, they got disconnected. Also if you win the match and you see someone with only 300 points on your winning team they also got disconnected.

The battle dojo is pretty boring. We only played that a couple of times.

Overall this game is a blast. I can't wait for the new modes/features to come. I have a feeling that if this game is successful Nintendo will learn from it and make Splatoon 2 an early NX game.

You can make a separate account on your WiiU so she can make her own character and stats, until she wants to go full-on and get a WiiU herself!

I made an account for my gf and she's reached level 10 before I have. Her roller game is strong. XD

That happens in any competitive multiplayer OT though, just look at the Smash Wii U/3DS and Mario Kart 8 OTs.

That's why I never follow those threads lol. But this one there is actually stuff to talk about outside competitive match recaps. That's why I was asking/wondering.

Oh thank goodness! I was just about to post asking this.
For some reason I seem to persistently get my controller into a situation where it is just impossible to turn right until I re-centre with "Y".

I respect what they were trying to do but holy hell I was going insane trying to master the controls and was just ready to give up. Google searched it and found it was an option to turn off on the gamepad screen in the lobby... guess it would have helped if I'd looked at the gamepad screen even once lol.

I really hope they add Pro contoller support going forward.

Ok, whats up with the way they're doing 2 map rotations? The past 3 rotations (including the current set) used only 4 maps out of 5. Its bad enough we're limited to this 2 map scheme but you can't even count on it to displaying every map within a 12 hour period. (Blackbelly Skatepark is the remaining one).

It's obviously gonna change when more maps are released and a third map is added to the rotation. I imagine it's just random.

Man, had I known about the win-streak bonus, I would have cashed out lastnigh when I won like 6 games straight.

Working today and I can't wait to get home to play some more. Haven't had that feeling about a game in a long time. Oh and is anyone else enjoying the campaign mode a heck of a lot more than they thought they would? I bought the game thinking I probably won't touch it barring one initial trial. Boy was I wrong!

There's room for three on the screen that shows the current maps, so I think they'll bump it up eventually.
