Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

This only seems like a good strategy for a roller. Otherwise you should be capturing the center.
It works pretty well for distracting and holding off enemies. It's a fairly easy position to hold, so each time the enemy team respawns they'll probably see all the enemy ink there, and try to fight you for it. If you can grab a couple of kills from that, you've wasted a bunch of their time. I think the idea though is that it depends on your team to hold the center while you make the enemy waste time in their base. If all the action is at the center, you can always zip down the hallway and support that too.
Did we just lost because of this last seconde inkstrke ?
Happened to me with randoms last night. I was kind of annoyed lol.

I just sent a bunch of you friend requests like pinku , violet, rd blax, boney, soul lab and some others add me when u get a chance my NNID is the same as my gaf name in case your wondering which friend request

Are the amiibos one-time use, like Mario Kart 8? Or are you required to use then repeatedly to access more content? I own all three, and told my friend I'll take them to his so he can scan them, but would he just be asked to scan them again in future?

You have to use them once each session to activate the mission challenges. I assume once you unlock the gear though, you don't have to use the amiibo to use the gear. (Not sure, haven't unlocked gear yet with mine.)

Blaaaahhhh battery is dead again.

Good thing my new one is coming in tomorrow. Getting ready to finally Splat all day during the summer.

The E-Liter 3K is so bad; in spite of having a useful sub, a great special, and peerless range, the charge time is brutal.

Sticking to the Kelp Splatterscope for now.

Depending on enemy defense 1/2 to 3/4 charge is enough for a frag, not sure how the range scales but in testing it seemed similar to the regular chargers. Tbh what bothers me the most about it is losing the Sprinkler

This seems like an awful strategy for the roller. I play it differently than most but still, you aren't able to ink much territory and you'll be at a disadvantage to ranged weapons. Maybe camping with the dynamo but that sounds boring. Plus, with this strategy you can't jump down on peoples heads. And who doesn't love that?

I'm gonna mess with the Roller next time I hop on. Gonna be a ninja-in-training. =D

Maybe I can rival Red's Roller. =P
Haha, good luck ;)

Also Hengs going to hate you if you do

Can't play at the moment as I'm yet to get some kind of TV/monitor in my room that I can use with my Wii-U, so instead I'm just reading all your comments and being upset that I can't join in.

Definitely gonna put in a few hours on the weekend though, so hopefully I'll get a chance to play with some of you!

Charging ahead is absolutely the best strategy in the game. Don't be OCD trying to cover every bit of ink on your own base, that's useless.

Think about it like this, every bit of ink that you cover that is the enemy's color counts DOUBLE for your team - you're subtracting their progress, and adding to yours. Covering unpainted areas near your spawn isn't helpful. Those areas will get covered anyway during the course of the match, I promise. Meanwhile if you can push in directly into the enemy base, they'll be super stressed out by that and freak out trying to kill you, instead of jumping ahead to claim area in the middle. You can waste a TON of their time if you're fooling around in their base.

Just give up once and join those people charging ahead, it's a great time. You'll be there to cover each others' backs against the enemies doing the same.
This is what I do every match, and I win just about every game with the top score. Push forward, get in the other teams face and freak them out. I’ve gotten so good at the Jump, Splat, Dive combo to move fast. I can get to the center and lay down a lot of paint before the other team gets there.

My team loses sometimes because I really have no idea what my team is doing. I will beeline to the other teams spawn point and start wrecking havoc. Now obviously I can’t out-paint three other players but there have been rounds where for a full minute I continually killed and occupied 3 peoples attention. They finally take me down and I look at the map…only to see my team has done nothing with the time I bought them. Frustrating but even the loss isn’t so bad as I had fun during the match.

I’m really glad that there are no global stat records or rankings for the normal mode. It stresses me out a whole lot less when I’m not trying to maintain a good profile or any stuff like that. Every match is care-free, which allows me to screw around and play with weapons I’m not good at.

Once you get to the other side. Look at your map and see if your team has gained the middle. If they need help, just super jump back. Then work your way toward enemy territory again.

I swear to god, if I get any more bomb range up or special weapon duration up abilities on my gear I'm going to scream. I only seem to be able to pull useful abilities on super ugly 2 slot gear which already has a bad starting ability.

For the love of fucking God stop putting me in games with the majority Japanese players. The net code isn't that good ffs.

My Splatoon amiibo 3-pack came in today! Im
Pretty stoked to try them out, but I just hate opening them from the fresh package. :/

Gonna mess around with the charger a bit. I'm gonna stay out of the lobby while I do so as to not make a fool of myself.

Completely sympathize. I stared at the box for a good minute before tearing it open. Was almost as much a test of willpower as not buying a greninja amiibo when I picked up the 3 pack on the 29th.

Ugh, i'm on some big losing streak lately. I have yet to win in like 10 matches.

And I am usually 2nd or 1st in my team and overall atleast in the top 3.

Like the game I just played now, I put everything into it. I used my Jet Squelcher to lay down paths I could Ninja-Squid with. I activated the Echolocator like 4 times. I killed like 10 people by sneaking up on them. I defended the Walleye Warehouse middle without dying for like 2 minutes!

I went even further beyond a kid OR a Squid. I had 900 points!

...then I died once...and the whole entire match fell apart in the last 30 seconds.

End Score: 44.6% VS 46.8%

If I can't even win at my best, then what hope is there?

-gets a grip and heads back in-

Do you know the struggle when you like the stats but hate the item's look? That Safari Hat ugggh.

Yeah, I have to wear that same hat whenever I'm not leveling gear, since it has better perks than the rest.

And that fugly pink jersey too
