Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

Pulled out level 20 and a B ranking in the Mall by "quadra killing" the enemy team with nothing but my gun in a single corridor. I love when the person not firing at me body blocks all the people who are.

Team kills are the best feeling. I've had 2, it makes you feel like you're way better than you are.

The maps change? Havent had a chance to play ranked yet, mostly due to be being only level 6...does the location of the splat zone change? Or always the same?

Splat zones location is always the same. There are some obstacles and walkways placed in some maps, probably to make the maps more suited for this gamemode.

I'm rather pleased with this setup. :D

Warehouse, with the sprinkler on the box in the splatzone, and sniping from the crate on your side of the splat zone with the occasional wailer is so OP. Haven't lost yet.

So far, my ranked games have pretty much been whichever team gets control of the zone first, wins. Whichever team loses the point can't seem to gain control of it.

I've had a few close games in ranked, but the majority I've had so far are quick squashes.

I got up 20 minutes earlier today to have a couple of goes on ranked matches.

They were okay, not as fun as expected, just more frustrating really. I feel like you know who's going to win from the off as well, taking away the fun of last minute turn arounds. And when you're standing in the splat zone and the other team appear in bubbles ugh.

Managed one game of Mackerel on Turf Wars and found it to be the blandest map yet. I think I'm just being extra grumpy cos it was early. I should have stayed in bed!

Just rerolled my ink resistance shoes' abilities and came out winning big for my Splattershot Pro - 2 main ink reserves and a defense buff. Woot

What exactly does Judd measure when the match goes into overtime? Still haven't figured it out.

Overtime triggers if the team in the lead has penalty time while the team behind is in control.

If the team behind takes the lead, they win. Don't know how the team in the lead wins, as I haven't had it happen. I assume if they take control back.

So then whichever team does one of those will definitely win, and the numbers he measures are pointless?

If you win/loses by any means but KO you get points based on how close the timers were to 0.

Oh yeah, I'm now 80% sure that each weapon has some sort of point multiplier. Using the E-Liter, I would routinely get about 500 points or less. I went back to the Base Charger and my points shot back up to 700-900.
