It's the same idea dude, most new phones are going to have quickcharge, eventually everything will have USB-C, Wireless charging isn't as fast as wired connections...not for the majority of phones at least and it's alot easier and affordable for people to charge their phones with the included wire than buying a stationary wireless dock to charge it just because they don't want to hunt for a cord.
I love tech and gadgets but I know that a large % of people don't want/need to buy things like WIRELESS everything. Sure I think it's cool to charge your phone just by putting it on a stand/dock but it's not something all phones come with in the box nor actually are compatible with outside of a case/adapter.
Point is that USB-C will be the standard as much as Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 is for new phones rolling out now like 4G/LTE, NFC and Bluetooth has been pretty much standardized on most flagships.
