This image looks like the opening area in Bloodborne - railings in front of castellations, tower on the left, bridges in the distance.

And this is very much like the bridge area with the two dogs, ogre and crows

maybe earlier concepts using souls characters and they later changed the main character and tweaked the level architecture a little?

No. It looks nothing like those BB area imo.

Square literally released a mainline FF game every from 97-2002 except for 98.

Didn't hear many "milking" complaints back then.

It's only milking if you don't like the game/franchise. Much like DLC is only evil if it's a game you don't care about.

Yup. I can only assume the people saying otherwise haven't played Bloodborne. Central Yharnam has a very distinct look which you won't find in Demon's, Dark Souls or Dark Souls II. These leaked screens scream Central Yharnam/Old Yharnam to me.

Wow that speaks words to how good square was.....all of them were fabtastic. I can't believe they popped them out that fast with such big advancements in character models too.

1) someone already posted about the PC "negotiable" it's in the first few pages of this thread the person said as far as they know porting to pc profits the us office more and so they have to negotiate with the japan office of namco

2) maybe this is part of how sony got bloodborne . They helped from build up a graphically competent engine in return they got bloodborne and from got an engine and tech they can use for this generation ds and other games

So, this at the Sony presser?

Supposedly.

There is no way Sony invested for a one off given the critical acclaim and sales. We will most certainly see a BB2.

PC release is "negotiable."

wtf is that? is it not good enough that both DS and DS2 sold great on PC ...its only "negotiable".

hopefully that's really not their attitude about a PC release.

I can see where people are coming from with the first screenshot, but the second looks nothing at all like the area you are comparing it to.

Yup. I can only assume the people saying otherwise haven't played Bloodborne. Central Yharnam has a very distinct look which you won't find in Demon's, Dark Souls or Dark Souls II. These leaked screens scream Central Yharnam.
Like I said, there's even some CA in the top screen if I'm not mistaken. Dark Souls didn't have CA, did it?

I don't think the buildings in the second pic looks like Yarhnam, but the palete range certainly does. Thats where the Bloodborne look comes IMO.

Nope, and I hope it stays that way.

Maybe. All I know is that I'm not even close to being tired of playing new Souls games.

Yeah, that's the main point to me as well.

My problem with AC isn't that playing a new one every year has become tiresome, but that even though I didn't play any AC games between AC III and AC Unity, it was still boring and I regret buying and playing it.

In the other hand, I've been playing the same Dark Souls ever since I first played it, I just made a new Moonlight Greatsword character for PVP and I'm doing a challenge run with the Deprived starting gear and level only.

The problem with those other games isn't that even though it's new content, there's so much that I can't stand them anymore, the problem with those other games is that they're boring to me.

If Dark Souls III isn't actually a thing, I'll just keep playing Dark Souls and Bloodborne for as long as I feel like it, which will be A LOT more hours than every AC game played through once combined.

If Dark Souls III is a thing and is shit, then we have a problem.

Don't worry, if you can wait (maybe 6 months at most) you will get the PC Version. They are just being asses (if it is true) and want you to believe there won't be one and buy the Console Version, and then buy it again on PC after they announce it.

There is no way this will not be on PC.

i rather dont play it all before i buy a console version of it.

We're talking about table scraps. What's the going rate for the first 2 games on steam right now?

What if Bloodborne bring more money than Dark Souls 2 did?

It's a GTAV situation. Release on PC a year or 2 later.

The lowest price Dark Souls has EVER been - and this is on a 3rd party site, not Steam - is just below $5. Let's assume a $5 average for all purchases of Dark Souls (which is likely way, way low). Steamspy lists the game as having nearly 2 million owners on Steam. So it's safe to assume they made upwards of $7 million, after Steam's cut.

Dark Souls II has less owners, just under 1 million, but the lowest it has EVER been - again, on a 3rd party website - was just under $15. Meaning they likely raked in over $15 million, after Steam's cut.

If those numbers don't justify a PC port ... I don't get it.

Perhaps they were put off by the bad numbers for Scholar of the First Sin (under 200k on Steam) ... but I think it's pretty understandable why the PC crowd didn't buy in on that.

Please be real...

& to anyone complaining about fatigue, if you're fatigued, there hundreds of games released every year, you can play them.

So at "worst" this is Bloodborne DLC, and that seems unlikely given the characters, so I guess it's time to let the hype flow (and this was pretty much how Bloodborne leaked). That bleeding sun shot looks awesome, and that desert city thing in the imgur album linked earlier looks interesting too.

Wow that speaks words to how good square was.....all of them were fabtastic. I can't believe they popped them out that fast with such big advancements in character models too.
Not to mention they were making games like Xenogears, chrono cross, and Vagrant Story in that same time frame. That era square was untouchable. So far everything From is touching is very high quality. I welcome them to make as many games as they can.

All the people complaining about Souls being a YEARLY FRANCHISE (despite not being true) confuse me because I'm not sure why they're complaining. Has the quality of the games dropped? Do they feel like annualized games with no effort put into them? If the games are still just as good as they always were, why complain about them?

Ugh, Christmas again, every year. Yay.

If you're personally feeling fatigued by them, don't play them until you're ready to? If you're getting burnt out, that doesn't mean the franchise has become stagnant lol. It just means you need to take a break.

I see the similarities but I don't see how it fits Bloodborne. How do you suppose that these areas are basically Central Yarnham but different? Time Travel?

Okay I watched the video and the image I'm getting from their description of the listing they saw is that the listing says the PC's date is negotiable, not the PC release itself.

That or it's a listing for retailers, most of whom wont but the PC version.

I'll update the OP in a moment with the exact quote.

Also while i'm being a negative nancy, if it's good then holy fuck i'll gladly eat crow as I love Souls and want something to patch up the story of Souls 2. That and the BB DLC, they're really showering us with games at from

I still want my goddamn new armored core tho goddamit

The main lead looks way too DaS like to be Bloodborne. I would guess this is DaS3.

The character has that body position that feels like a DaS knight.

This looks EXACTLY like that game that had people, weapons and sky's n shit.

But it does not explain all the other screens.

http://imgur.com/a/6ZZgy

No it doesn't. But I don't know what this is meant to prove. I'm saying that the area shown in a couple of screenshots reminds me of Central Yharnam. Nothing more, nothing less. Speaks nothing of the game as a whole. We don't even know if its real yet.

I see the similarities but I don't see how it fits Bloodborne. How do you suppose that these areas are basically Central Yarnham but different? Time Travel?

Who said they're 'basically Central Yharnam'. I said it looks similar artistically, that's all, which it does in some places. Not all. That screenshot with the melting sun for example looks nothing like Bloodborne. Those pictures on the bridge with the purple sky etc however, do, imo.

What if this is Bloodborne's DLC?? I mean some of the architecture sure does seem similar. (That praying statue is right out of BB)

Sony leaking leaks it seems. The rumor was that they were gonna announce this at their conference, no? BloodBorne: Demon's Souls would be a nice throw back title for fans.

This isn't Central Yharnam.

Yep, second screen looks a lot more like Demon's Souls than any other game, tbh.

Like I said, there's even some CA in the top screen if I'm not mistaken. Dark Souls didn't have CA, did it?
No, I'd remember removing that :P

Okay I watched the video and the image I'm getting from their description of the listing they saw is that the listing says the PC's date is negotiable, not the PC release itself.
That's really the only thing which makes sense. It's a "negotiation" between selling more copies on PC and attracting more double-dippers.

Yes, from shady russian cd key websites and steam sales for $7
Yeah, right. The weeks of #1 top seller rankings on Steam at full price were all a dream. Seriously, I'm surprised people don't get tired of this shit.

I'm so looking forward to the future when we have SteamSpy data for the entire lifespan of games and can stop this nonsense.
