SHENMUE 3 kickstarter (PC/PS4) - FINAL DAY - NEW KS RECORD GO GO GO!

People dropping the $500 tier like it's a hot potato.

It would be interesting to know if they were going up or down. I wonder if you are running the Kickstarter do they provide you with more detailed statistics, like "in past 24 hours, 3 people went from 500 to 600, 40 29 dollar people went to 60, etc"

Here's to another 2 million at least in the next few days :D

I'm still pissed at the in-game DLC they're pulling with some of the tiers... but I REALLY want the 7.5mill advanced battle system.

Super irresponsible of me considering my current state of affairs, but I guess I'll up my pledge from $60 to $160.

Some are probably going up, but there are certainly some who are going down or simply not pledging.

We're going up regardless! :)

Wow this is amazing,i never seen this before. Good idea for minigame and think this works good online with other people.

Thanks Arcan0ne. I see my SEGA SUPER CIRCUIT idea is also getting likes on the Shenmue facebook page. I really hope the idea does reach to the Shenmue team. Now is the team to feed in ideas like this to them in hope for them to come either at launch or as a major DLC. In this case, I hope my idea gets included for launch.

I hope everyone here is aware of this:

*ahem* may i suggest upping your order to $175, and putting up the artbook on ebay for around $100 later on. It's only $15 extra, thats a good investment.

Play Shenmue 2, wait over a decade and it will become clear.

Yeah this lol.
Also the TeamYu thing is probably a mass tweetathon where if everyone joins in at the same time, it will probably start trending.

At least that's what I expect.

It is not the final day to pledge - the global QTE will be 3 days from the end.

I'm debating whether or not to sell Shenmue 2 on Dreamcast to increase my Kickstarter pledge. I already have the game on Xbox but it's hard to part with to be honest.

I'll have to decide pretty quickly of course

Kicktraq continues to lower the expected projection for Shenmue 3 : Yu Suzuki's project should end between 4.9 and 5.18M$.

If there's sentimental value involved and deep down you don't want to part with it, then don't do it. You'll only regret it later down the line.

why do you keep posting these when everybody has told you over and over again that they're bullshit static predictions based on yesterday's takings?

They don't even account for the final 48 hour surge, when all those people who clicked the little star on the project get their reminder emails from Kickstarter.

Only if the present rate of funding continues. It got $53k yesterday. I'd expect more of an up turn in the last few days.

I think we can all look forward to some really great Portuguese subtitles.

People like their stats and computer generated projected data. I don't care much for it but if it makes people happy, whatever.

I'm hooping for an equally steep ramp up in the last day or 2 compared to the first day of the campaign. I'd want S3 to beat out bloodstained at the very least, which is very doable and a commendable accomplishment.

I'm beginning to doubt this game will cross 50,000 backers which is hardly singing praises for the series reach or its importance (puts the announcement in perspective).

If the kickstarter is this unplanned I also think its a bad sign for the actual development. This is all very early stage stuff, compared to some games that will at least have a general consensus of what its to be.

Amazing that the game is now only at 54k and could still reach its 5M stretch goal. A lot of people putting a lot of money in here.

It's been hard to keep up with this thread over the weekend, I see we've jumped quite a bit. Hopefully I'll be able to up my pledge to the $175 pledge before the end of the campaign.

So any guesses when they'll announce any plans for PayPal option? I'm assuming they want to wait until the very last minute to maximize gains in the campaign?

Many people from the ShenmueDojo are getting sick of these new "get yourself in the game" rewards.

I'm starting to feel that way too. Not because I mind the rewards themselves, but it almost feels like they have no other ideas so they just keep pumping these out in hopes for extra revenue.

they just need to stop fucking around with the tiers and just concentrate on getting new backers. it'll be hard to take the top story for a few days right now but some kind of media interaction needs to happen.

to their credit, the new tier seems to have jumped the pledge total up by around 3k and rising.

we're going to have a fishing rod called awesome japan sucks aren't we?

Yeah, if they don't get some type of livestream or event going for the last day or two, they really are incompetent.

They can either screw this up or make huuuuuge money in this last week, and this reward isn't the greatest first indicator.

You saw the chart they showed on the Twitch stream. 1/3 of the money they raise is going to fulfilling rewards. They're trying to minimize that with in-game stuff as much as possible and I applaud them for it.

People in doubt that the kickstarter will surge again just have to take a look at the frequenzy (PS4) kickstarter. That looked dead in the water a bunch of days before the end till it shot over the goal in the final sprint.

Last day / hours are going to be crazy.

Oh, I'm absolutely fine with the digital rewards. I have one of the in-game ones myself. It just seems like it is all that they are capable of rather than attracting new backers.

Honestly, I don't proclaim to have any great ideas to do this outside of a (likely impossible because of SEGA) Shenmue I + II HD announcement, but they are presumably getting paid to do this.
