Curious how he'll handle Shazam and Black Adam if they do them. I think a robed look would work well. I liked elements of Regime Black Adam, though it's missing the iconic lightning bolt on the chest.
Two things have immensely improved my opinion of the clip.
1. The idea that Superman might just be shit at intimidating people. Cavill goes from not being able to act to portraying the kind of timidity I'd expect of a good natured guy trying to tell Batman what to do.
2. And this is very likely a spoiler. Not of a major event but of the potential immediate context for the meeting in the clip (like what might have happened in the previous scene). Don't click if you don't want to know, and it's speculation so it could be wrong. I'll keep it as vague as possible, anyway.
It makes so much more sense than what I assumed the reason for the meeting in the clip to be. It's a neat way of portraying Superman, and Batman's "oh, we're going to throw down when I'm ready" attitude seems appropriate.

That it isn't Batman going after Superman and crashing his car into him, but Superman deciding he wants Batman to stop fighting crime and intercepting the Batmobile.

Judging by the last trailer Batman is turning a corner and sees superman and tries to swerve out of the way. He doesn't run head on into Superman. I imagine the kick was more beneficial than just letting him crash into him because Clark would probably demolish the car if he let it hit him.
Give me the New 52, but with half robe so half robe with hood plus that sash that he has on his belt.

Yeah except that he was all but born on earth. As in he literally came to earth as a baby and was Clark Kent for a lot longer than he was Superman. I'm not unconvinced that Superman is just a big wuss.
You know what yes this is a bit corny, but my god is it epic as hell when you see the entire scene together. I mean we have freaking Batman and Superman in live action interacting together.

I'm in like, awe at how bad this looks. The first few trailers were cool, but I was hopeful that Snyder learned from his mistakes made in MoS and that this would be all the better for it. Especially with Affleck at the helm, allegedly helping out with the script. Am I right about that? But... shit. Cavil looks like he doesn't give a shit at all in that clip. Batman looks like... an egg. The dialogue is just silly and over the top, like a child wrote it.
I'd understand if they were going towards something like Marvel, but they're trying to build a "mature" audience with these movies, am I right? "No jokes," all that crap. If the delivery of so many lines comes across as campy in a Marvel movie, whatever. They're silly, fun romps. However, that's not what DC seem to be going for, and if the movie has enough scenes with such bad delivery it's not even going to be fun, it'll just be bad.

Well, tbf we seem to get a better Batman in this movie so it has that going for it. And Zimmer is doing the score. Snyder is amazing at action scenes and Larry Fong is back. So there is that to look forward to. Surely some things that you might end up liking.
Jokes are good, just not cheesy ones.
Dark is good, just not too dark.

It's possible just because Batman looks bad. That's something I've noticed recently. The idea of Superman punking Batman out doesn't quite hit with people. Batman's been punking Superman out for decades so it feels odd.

Why has "Cheesy" become "bad" for people. Cheesy jokes are awesome if done well.
Same with darkness. And darkness combined with cheese, if done well is a great combination.
I think the marketing has been a bit of a mess, but the underlying content for the film still looks solid
I feel like at its heart that's what it'll probably be, for better or worse. And I'm not criticizing Zack Snyder for it; it's hard to imagine what it must be like getting to make the Batman v Superman film, especially when you are a fan of comics (or at least The Dark Knight Returns). But it does have that feel where you can almost imagine Zack Snyder acting out this scene with toys - 'then what if Superman was like 'consider it mercy' and boom flew up into the sky'.
It seems to have solid writing behind it, so whilst it might visually look like a big-budget fan film it could also be a good movie. I'm a fan of the narrative choices we know they've made so far, like tying Man of Steel's ending into BvS, so it could be a really great film. I hope Snyder pulls it off because he's jumping directly from this to Justice League Part 1, and I can't imagine that being good if BvS isn't.

The context is important. There's nothing wrong with an angry Supes if the situation calls for it. If you really, really want to like this, then give it the benefit of the doubt.

Never said I didn't like Superman being mad or aggressive; that's what I was expecting from the movie! They're fighting after-all. It's just that the delivery of the line comes across as silly, not menacing.
